The Last Drop Grand Opening
Who: Whoever would like to attend the grand opening mingle at the Last Drop
Where: Entertainment District – The Last Drop
What: The grand opening of the night club / bar
Warnings: Alcohol and low-level drugs

The Last Drop opens big and loud with neon lights and music that booms from within to be heard from the streets. There are two large bouncers at the door, but they were allowing people in very freely on this night until the room was at capacity then there would be a line. The bouncers only stop those who are already three-sheets to the wind and could cause trouble, but otherwise, they are there to break up trouble as the night wears on.
Inside, there was smoke machines, flashing lights, loud music and the drinks were flowing to anyone that wanted. There was plenty of dancing, some dart boards along the walls, a jukebox, tables and booths for patrons to have drinks and discuss business.
There are stairs that lead up to a second floor to one side of the bar, lights on the stairs. There were people lounging on the stairs and it seemed to be ‘employees only’. Patrons were allowed the lounge there as well if they were tired of dancing or the tables or booths were occupied.

He leaned back in his padded chair and crossed one leg over the other as he glanced up to the rafters where his daughter's hammock was hung. They both seemed particularly at peace to be back in a place both of them would consider home. This was where he had spent a considerable amount of time in Zaun after all.]
Not all night, no. I will remain awake until the place closes of course so I can check on the new employees on how they made out. I expect I should make one more appearance with those enjoying the atmosphere as well.

[ she says through another obnoxious yawn and then pulls her leg in so she can unbind her boots. if she knew her father like the back of her hand, he was going to spend the night in this office. and just like old times, jinx will be staying over to slumber right along with him, but up above.
placing her boots on one of the many wooden boards, she continues to get herself settled and comfortable — starting with unbraiding her hair... which will be a pretty long process. ]
— Think we're gonna need more workers?
no subject
He reached over to pull his ashtray closer to the edge of his desk and leaned back as he lit a lighter so that he could start his cigar.]
There will always be a need for more workers. We will find those that are loyal and keep them closer.

No Chuck to play with.
[ their current barkeep is decent, but he is lacking the skittish behavior, and the confusion expressions that "chuck" would have whenever she was within his proximity. ]
no subject
A minor issue. That bartender we encountered when I taught you pool looked like he had potential, and I expect to approach him to come on board soon enough.
[She would have her Chuck whether they realized that was their fate or not.]
Do you want me to brush out your hair before you sleep?

iv - lmao ok let's go (cw: hallucinations
"Then this place is just perfect for you!" The white witch speaks to his ear again. "It's a mad world, Richard. A devil's party for a devil. You should join in. Unless. There is another reason why you're here?"
The latter remark makes Richard flinch and hastily turn around, ready to fend off the witch with his hand. But instead of Joan, there is another patron who's drink Richard manages to spill with his sudden movement. He, however, does not linger around to wait to see the repercussions as the patron keeps shouting demands at him. This is ridiculous, he thinks bitterly to himself. Once again, he feels like he is somewhere he doesn't belong to.
However, instead of, he doesn't turn around to leave the establishment. Not yet. After all, he does know just who is the master of this party and it wouldn't feel right for him to leave without seeking the man out first. Damned be the witch and her giggling. So, Richard makes his way towards the back and to the staircase. But before he manages to take the first step up he is already being stopped by another person. This time by a peculiar looking, grinning girl.
Richard's eyes widen a bit at the sight of her. The blue hair is, of course, the first thing he pays attention to. That and her.. Well, immodest state of dress. But what truly gets to him is the almost unnatural shine that she has in her eyes, like a wild fire.
At first, he doesn't seem to react to her as he keeps his expression neutral and lips sealed tightly even as she presses up and close into his personal space.]
...No. [And that's all he says to her before turning around to step away from her and leave.]

and like all veterans, including herself (sometimes), have welcome the newcomers to their possibly permanent situation, and supply them with all the needs to get started with their new life. and silco is usually the first one in line to offer newbies employment to his numerous of enterprises, or for personal affairs. her frown deepens when she peeps over her shoulder to the sealed door, where her father remains inside. ]
[ if this stranger is a new worker or something, wouldn't he enlighten her about him by now? maybe he didn't have the time, but the two of them live together. he had endless opportunities to tell her about this stranger. ... that is... if he is someone to silco, of course. jinx's been attempting to learn from her past mistakes, and to not make wild assumptions when things seem strange to her.
still, her shoulders tense, and her thoughts are cartwheeling through various speculative explanations. once richard is away from the stairs, the teenager shadows behind him — keeping their distance wide enough so she can mix within the wild and drunk patrons. he's... probably one-hundred percent a nobody, especially to silco. totally. but... maybe keeping an eye on him for a few minutes couldn't hurt. for safety measures. ]
no subject
Richard is someone who's learned to be mindful of his surroundings, always paying to that which can be seen and which cannot. He doesn't catch on Jinx tailing after him right away, but it does become clear to him sooner than later. What makes it interesting is that whenever he spots the blue-haired girl from the corner of his eye, he can't seem to be able to see Joan. As if the witch had decided to step aside for time being and make way for the lonely waif with haunting eyes.
If she isn't yet another trick of the witch, of course.
He doesn't get too far, deciding withdrawing to one of the more silent corners of the bar where the most of the other patrons were already soothed out by the alcohol, struggling to stay coherent and awake.]
Why are you following me?
no subject
sure, easy targets are necessary when one is in a rush, or have a busy schedule. but jinx loves games, and toying with her guinea pigs if the opportunity is there. not that she considers richard as a prey, it's too soon to come to that conclusion. after all, he could very much be a monster like her. and as killers, being highly perceptive is second nature. so when they reach to a more exclusive area of the bar, the girl's lips twitch mischievously, as she swipes a single fry off a drunkard's forgotten dish. ]
'Cause I want to.
[ the response flew off her tongue with ease, and then pops the fricassee into her mouth; chewing. ]
This is my place. And I do whatever I want, whenever I want, with who...ever I want.
[ and then her pitch changes, perk and pretentiously kind. ]
So! — What's your story, huh? Got a name? Is it a boring name? Ten outta ten, it usually is. I might just call you, "Sulky".
no subject
But Joan and the other spirits had never bothered asking him questions, knowing his name and just exactly what he was. They were liars, of course, trying to fool him into thinking differently by claiming to know his true self.
He keeps his expression neutral, seemingly unfazed by her antics.]

As such, he's kind of glad when Jinx comes up from behind him, even if it's just to smack him in the back and nearly making him choke on his drink.]
Hey, Jinx. [He awkwardly responds, smiling just a little as she swings an arm around his shoulders.] Congrats on the new place.
no subject
[ and saying so is the root of her current dilemma between her family. the three of them view the last drop as their home, but they can't seem to agree on who lives with jinx. she shakes the troubling situation away from her mind, and continues to grin her friend's way — slithering her arm away from his shoulders. ]
If you want, we can go downstairs. I haven't been down there yet to see if my old bed and couch are still intact.
no subject
[Man, this seriously is where she and her sister used to live? ...Also explains so much about the both of them. Scott briefly wonders if Vi even likes Silco, but uh, that is one family drama that he really doesn't want to touch with a ten foot pole.]
But yeah, that sounds cool. [His smile turns a little more genuine, that hint of teenage cockiness returning in his expression.] Give me the grand personal tour.
no subject
[ bouncing back to her feet (but without swiping two cans of sodas), she chucks the can to her friend flippantly, and leads him to the east side of the establishment. maneuvering from one side to the next is a slight challenge and an adventure within itself, with patrons drinking and dancing in a very disjointed fashion.
jinx offers one of her braids to scott as a "rope", so they wouldn't get lost in the crowd. whether he takes the proposal or not is player's choice, but eventually they do make it to the other side — an open doorway that would lead them down the stairs. ]
It's just down here.
no subject
He'll even lightly grab onto one of her braids, so that they don't get separated in the mist of the dancing and drunk patrons. Scott takes care not to yank too hard, but Jinx may tell that he's appreciative of the gesture.]
Man, was it just as busy back home?
[He asks as they reach the doorway, the noise finally becoming tolerable as a small relieved sound escapes him.]

or some reason to badger him.]
S-Sorry....I wasn't going to go in, I-I just wanted to sit somewhere, um, alone...er. For a bit.
no subject
Oh, okay! Then you can sit. You got my permission.
[ and that was it, huh? that simple? without any hesitation, she takes a sit on the steps too, one leg stretching out. ]
You could request for quieter music, y'know. — Dooooon't think the dummies downstairs would notice. Too busy glug-glugging their brains out.
no subject
Uh...t-thanks.
[He takes a seat on the stairs and shakes his head.]
Its fine. The floor would probably still thump anyway.
[Is the bass, Levi. It does that.]
no subject
[ jinx can't necessarily pinpoint if levi is having the case of the anxiety attacks or not due to his sputters, but just to be safe, she inhales a nice deep breath and then blows the air slowly through her lips.
it's her subtle way to help lull him from all the ruckus downstairs, and maybe he'll follow along with her breathing exercises if he's having problems. after all, the girl is no stranger to anxiety episodes, even though she has issues handling her own, too. ]
What's your favorite color?
[ a very random question, she is extremely aware of it, but hopefully it's light enough that he'll indulge in it with her. ]
no subject
Uh?
[Favorite color? What?]

But Silco had made this entire opening sound more important than just your regular bar. And Ange is curious whether or not this place will live up to that. If the people in charge of this place do intend to shut the place down, then she intends on being there to witness it - and even if it doesn't happen, maybe she can pick up on some rumors in there to gather more information about this place.
The problem though.. It's the line. Ange dreads the idea of having to stand in there in order to be able to get into a place she doesn't particularly want to be at in the first place. The girl is of half a mind to just turn around and go back home--
--but that's when she discovers someone who's apparently able to skip the line easily. Someone familiar.
Ange makes her way over towards Jinx as the other walks out of the bar, just plainly asking: ]
Can you get me in there?
[ Dang, Ange, not even a hi first or anything, girl? ]
no subject
Yeah!! I can get ya in, Grets. But you got to follow exactly my lead okay? Nooooo fighting back!
no subject
How come that absolutely anything you ever say sounds so ominous?
[ Granted, maybe Ange wouldn't find this as ominous if it was coming from anyone else. Maybe the problem is that it's Jinx, and when Jinx of all people says that, it means this can go absolutely anywhere.
Including paths Ange absolutely does not want to go down. Under any circumstances. ]
You make it sound like I'm signing up to be killed. [ No, worse than that. Death might actually be a mercy. ]

[ without a warning or doubt, jinx ties her arm around the other's and tows her closer to her own frame — purposely having their hips bump together. ]
