The Last Drop Grand Opening
Who: Whoever would like to attend the grand opening mingle at the Last Drop
Where: Entertainment District – The Last Drop
What: The grand opening of the night club / bar
Warnings: Alcohol and low-level drugs

The Last Drop opens big and loud with neon lights and music that booms from within to be heard from the streets. There are two large bouncers at the door, but they were allowing people in very freely on this night until the room was at capacity then there would be a line. The bouncers only stop those who are already three-sheets to the wind and could cause trouble, but otherwise, they are there to break up trouble as the night wears on.
Inside, there was smoke machines, flashing lights, loud music and the drinks were flowing to anyone that wanted. There was plenty of dancing, some dart boards along the walls, a jukebox, tables and booths for patrons to have drinks and discuss business.
There are stairs that lead up to a second floor to one side of the bar, lights on the stairs. There were people lounging on the stairs and it seemed to be ‘employees only’. Patrons were allowed the lounge there as well if they were tired of dancing or the tables or booths were occupied.

Then Vander made peace and the practice had died out. After Vander died, Silco had kept Zaun out of most of Piltover's business so he could continued to expand. A shame really. He supposed the beatings were the same on Piltover streets as it was on Zaun's.]
Leave these with me. I want to have a proper assessment on their worth done before we see that they are given their proper due.
[He provided no obvious sign that his daughter was in the rafters above. People would speak more freely if under the illusion they were alone after all.]
Is that all?
no subject
the bouncer confirms this was all and there was nothing else, and if silco orders him to retreat back to the front of the establishment, he will do so without an uproar. even with the man gone, his daughter remains still — thinning her lips close together to keep herself from forming an unnecessary sound. another thing that the two of them do when it comes to business like this. the second rule is to always be silent for approximately two minutes after one leaves the room. one may never know if said person will burst into the room again due to a forgetful memory. ... unless that person is marcus or sevika. those two never tend to re-enter the office for anything. ]

Like an instinct now, he waited a full two minutes mentally before he eased back into his chair and stared at the familiar wares. What were Piltover goods doing here in Aldrip? They held no sentimental value to him, but he also knew they had value. The docks could haul in many items, but these were items from a high ranking family. A scientist perhaps?
He glanced up towards the rafters.]
Do you know anything about this? We don't have a new high born from the city of progress here, do we?
no subject
Nnnnnnope! I haven't seen any Topsiders lately, 'sides the Hat Lady. [ meaning caitlyn. ] — Maybe Santa brought them? He's been doing a lot of that lately. I mean, he brought this and I ate my boot for it!
[ not literally, of course, but she did doubt silco of santa's abilities to bring what they want. ]

Indeed, this place is attempting more and more do provide for us. I expect they are hoping to stifle possible rebellion by making us more comfortable. Another explosion at city hall is likely not on their list of repeat offenses they wish to experience.
[Perhaps the enforcer wanted these? No, it would come to her and likely not the docks. These had possibly come in randomly. Maybe, just maybe, he'd read into this bounty too much.]
Do you want any of this? You have first pick.
no subject
[ she is being horribly immature, and most definitely a touch from piltover's belongings will not give her any sort of rash. but it's her way of showing coldness to the components when they can very well be of profit if they truly tried. ]
You can have them.
no subject
As you wish. I'll have the metals melted down at the forge then. I'm certain they can make something better out of it.
no subject
[ at the last bit of her twists, jinx rakes her slender fingers through her split ends smoothly. her mental cogs spin in thought, then her pinks glimpse down below where her father rests again. ]
So how are we gonna do... all of this, anyway? — Being home, checking on The Last Drop, Seafood Shack, that sandwich place, flower shop, and the Blacksmith joint. This all seems a little... — [ she waves her hand in a circular motion as she tries to think of a word. ] — "busy". And you're not no spring chicken. ... No offense.
no subject
It is meant to be busy. Idle hands make the demon's work. [He liked to be busy, but yes, it was getting to be much.] My age aside, this enterprise is smaller than my last one. However, I agree that we will need someone to manage it in groups and report back to me.
no subject
The only one I can come up with is Vash. He's a big sucker and would definitely do it. But he's only one guy, 'least you wanna own him, and I'd be okay with that!
[ and as for the rest of the chosen, well, many believe silco is up to no good (which is very ridiculous!) and she hadn't seen anyone who would fit the bill of the same loyalty they carry. ]
no subject
I'm not certain he has the necessary meddle to handle such an endeavor. He seems to avoid long-term responsibility.
[He did find it interesting that Jinx would give Vash an approval at all. He glanced up at her in the rafters.]
He's met your approval, has he?
no subject
[ she lifts a hand and uses each digit to count out vash's wonderful qualities, whether her father can see them from a distance or not. ]
He's a pushover, a "yes" man, pathetic, easily manipulative, a wuss, happy-go-lucky, and does whatever I say, so Jinxie likey. He'd be waaaaaaay better than the old Ogre...! You'll see.
[ his daughter shifts in her hammock to now sit upright, her legs dangling as she preps herself to hop down to his desk — and also giving him a head ups to move his belongings. ]
His whacko brother is gone, too. So, that's a thorn outta my side and an additional plus!
no subject
Unfortunately for Jinx, Silco needed a Sevika, not a push over.]
I need someone who follows orders but can make decisions without constantly having to come to me. Unfortunately, I don't believe that Vash has the ability to commit to anything but whimsy.
[Yet, he knew there was something more to Vash. He just hadn't been able to unearth it to the surface yet. Richard on the other hand... that could be someone he would like to put into a position of power to see how the man did.]
I didn't dislike his brother. He had a lot to offer. You didn't like him as he offered competition for the most heinous of acts on the streets. [Said with a fondness only a father could have for their child.]
no subject
the girl frowns over the commendation of knives, and she rolls her eyes in a typical teenager manner with a dramatically head tilt. ]
Nooooo, it was because he was crazy!! [ pot meet kettle. ] — Only insane lunatics kill people all willy-nilly without a purpose. Those people are dangerous and can't be trusted. You bring him in, and he'll betray you the moment he sees an opening.
[ a brief pause, as she trims down her theatrics and says with a smoother tone: ]
I'm just looking out for you. I do a lotta stakeouts, so... I know how to spot all the rust in cogs and junk.
no subject
He raised his eyebrow at her claim Knives was crazy. Demented maybe but insane? He was still on the fence about that.] To play devil's advocate, he had been transported here and hadn't coped well with his arrival. Besides, he said he hated humans, which seems cause enough.
[He hadn't made assessment enough to determine if loyalty was a priority for Knives. He might never find out and that was a shame.]
I appreciate you watching my back. I've recruited a considerable amount to our cause, so I have experience weeding out the bad cogs in our machine. Three eyes are better than one.
[You know, since he only had one fully functioning eye, that's all he could contribute.]
no subject
So let's smash our three eyes together. Vash is out, soooo... who's next on the list? — Ragna's already our bodyguard, so he's out too.
no subject
He met her gaze evenly.] Ragna also wouldn't want actual responsibility; doesn't he also have a church now? [He thought a moment.] Your appraisal of Ange the demon summoner? There are also two members of royalty who recently arrived, no crown upon their heads yet.
no subject
Aaaah, Grets. She's a babe, but reaaallly not into the "fun" stuff. It's always, "Jinx, don't do this. Jinx, don't do that. Think of the people you might affect when you blow them up!"
[ her mocking her friend's scold suddenly leads her into remembering something. ]
... Aw, shoot. I was supposed to let her know whenever I did something — [ jinx lifts a hand, then wiggles her index and middle to do air quotes.] — "bad". Guess no treat for me this time!
[ his daughter doesn't sound that brokenhearted about the whole ordeal, especially when there's a smirk curling over her lips. ]
But Royals, huh? What good will they do?
no subject
So she meets your approval. You do enjoy harassing her from what I've seen, so keeping her close would provide opportunities to do so more regularly.
[He wasn't certain how royalty worked in other worlds. The two here appeared to be playing a game with limited end, though he hadn't devised what they wanted. He wasn't certain they knew what they wanted either.]
They know how to sit pretty and give orders, I assume. You and I wouldn't know; we're sumprats to them.
no subject
Hm, I think they're the real sumprats. I bet if you toss them into a scrap, they won't survive two seconds out there. Royals need to learn how to fight, right? Isn't that how that goes?
no subject
He remained where he was, letting her lean in on him. It was a comfort to have her here and discussing business.]
Hmm, one might but the Council is still out on the other. [He shrugged one shoulder.] The question remains if they have it in them to make a play for power.
no subject
and despite the duo being from different generations, they're still aligned and united — even with so many new people being involved in their personal lives. in fact, sometimes it's a little weird talking about other people who aren't just the two of them (or sevika or piltover). time really has changed and shaped since their stay here, but at least she can still lean against him like this, and have reserved quiet moments just for them. his daughter stretches over to take a hold of his hand, using her own fingernail to pick off any dirt underneath his. ]
... You think we'll ever find the Council? Maybe they're hiding somewhere in those other cities we haven't visited yet.
no subject
He didn't refuse her taking his hand, letting her do as she pleased as he continued to think. Her little acts of grooming and taking care of him were no longer strange after all their time together, and she was the only one he let do so.]
I don't actually know if there is a Council to find. This place may manifest something meant to be, but whether it is an entity that actually exists remains to be seen. City Hall remains the hub of their power, and we should remain focused on that for now.
no subject
[ finishing picking dirt with one hand, jinx reaches over to his other and does the same thing. she knows her father will let her know if the council, or in this case, jerry came to him recently, but life in aldrip get extremely busy, and some events do tend to fall underneath the cracks. ]
... When I'm done, do you want to brush my hair?
no subject
[He gave up his other hand for her inspection, moving the one she had already worked on up to look at. Then he set it on the desk, pushing a piece of paper with his index finger. He expected that the Council or whoever ran this show would find a way to interfere, but he would deal with that when it occurred.]
I can, yes. Are you planning on sleeping here tonight?
