The Last Drop Grand Opening
Who: Whoever would like to attend the grand opening mingle at the Last Drop
Where: Entertainment District – The Last Drop
What: The grand opening of the night club / bar
Warnings: Alcohol and low-level drugs

The Last Drop opens big and loud with neon lights and music that booms from within to be heard from the streets. There are two large bouncers at the door, but they were allowing people in very freely on this night until the room was at capacity then there would be a line. The bouncers only stop those who are already three-sheets to the wind and could cause trouble, but otherwise, they are there to break up trouble as the night wears on.
Inside, there was smoke machines, flashing lights, loud music and the drinks were flowing to anyone that wanted. There was plenty of dancing, some dart boards along the walls, a jukebox, tables and booths for patrons to have drinks and discuss business.
There are stairs that lead up to a second floor to one side of the bar, lights on the stairs. There were people lounging on the stairs and it seemed to be ‘employees only’. Patrons were allowed the lounge there as well if they were tired of dancing or the tables or booths were occupied.

But Joan and the other spirits had never bothered asking him questions, knowing his name and just exactly what he was. They were liars, of course, trying to fool him into thinking differently by claiming to know his true self.
He keeps his expression neutral, seemingly unfazed by her antics.]
I was under belief that this place belonged to someone else.

[ flashing him a wink his way, she casually moves to the occupied seat being taken by a sleeping patron. and without any hesitation nor care for the individual, jinx shoves the man off the stool so she could sit, and the boozer yelps as he tumbles to the floorboards.
the teenager beams a wicked grin down at the man before turning her head back to richard's direction, humming sweetly to reach over for yet another french fry. the poor sap crawls and staggers to his feet in a humble mess, and it's not until he is completely out of sight that jinx continues on with their conversation. ]
Silco's my dad. My Pops, my old man, my main man. All the above...! And this is our home. Hence the, "I can do whatever I want" spiel.

However, the neutral expression on his face falters when she mentions Silco. His eyes widen and lips part in a silent recognition. "I have a daughter who suffers similarly." So, this was the one who was plagued by ghosts of her brothers? So much that she's became to resemble the spirits herself, apparently.]
I see. [He says, lips curling up in an amused grin as a laughter threatens to bubble out of his chest.] If that is the case then you shall address me in any manner you wish to, miss Jinx. Your reputation precedes you.

Hm, well, what do you expect from the "Demolition Diva"?
[ jinx then skates the abandon plate that was left by the drunkard closer, and begins to pick off the meal — but not before she uses a fry as a pointing stick to aim at him. ]
So Silco talked about me, huh? Are you a new employee for him or....??

So, placing a hand against his chest Richard gives her a small polite bow, as if he was greeting a proper high born lady.]
Nay, I am no one. Certainly not someone you ought to consider yourself with.

And let's hope you stay a no one.
[ she tilts her head to one side in a smooth turn as she elaborates. ]
If you become anything more than that, well... eh heh, we're going to have to do some rearranging.
[ whatever she means by that is hard to say, but the smile on her is tight and coated with a depraved shine. maybe she is coming off too strongly, and it's quite possible he is telling the truth, and he is nothing for her to be contemplated over.
but silco, at least, mentioned her to this man, in which in her prospective, whoever he is conversing with — she has the right to know who they are and their intentions. big or small. no one is allowed to sneak on pass her without her inquisition. ]

What a weird chimaira, he thinks to himself as he cocks his eyebrow up. There is something very uncomfortable about the young girl, making Richard to stay guarded and aware, despite of his seemingly lax body language.]
My. What kind of threat could someone like me possibly posses to you?
cw: slight paranoia, possessive attitude + brief voices
[ she says simply, doing a little spin on her stool before halting it in place so they can make eye contact again. jinx also uses her digits to count as she lists out the names who mean little to richard: ]
The Enforcer, the Topsider's councilors, and Silco's councilor dummies, they all have their weird way of saying stuff and every single of them have dirty little tricks up their sleeves.
[ jinx swings her feet back and forth childishly, then stretches over for the very last fry that's on the dish. ]
And my job is to find those naughty traps, and to put a stop to them. Or rig them so they will never think about going anywhere near my old man again. But a lot of them are dumb animals, so they can't help themselves but to go for seconds.
[ she pauses to chew and to let her words linger in the atmosphere for a bit, and then continues: ]
You say you don't have business with Silco, but I don't buy it. I've never seen you before, but you know my name. No one really talks about me much, unless you're him, my big sis, or the stupid Enforcer. The Enforcer only blabs about how bad I am, and my sis is waaaaaaay too angry over this joint right now to even chat about me to anyone. Which leaves Silco.
You two talked about me. And he doesn't just... talk about me to anyone — [ jinx stops there in mid-ramble, her expression abruptly twisting like she isn't so certain about something, and she shoots a quick glance to the left of her ( to an empty space) for clarification: ] — ... right?
[ ......... then she smiles with a nod at the nothingness, looking back to richard. ]
Yeah, right! I thought so.

Though, he's not entirely sure what to think of the very obvious and evident possessiveness and jealousy that Jinx was hiding behind her words. It would make more sense to him if this attitude was shown from father, as it was the job of a good parent to guide their child through the complicated society and the different social rules. It was essential especially for a father to protect their daughter from unwanted attention and friendships. But it seems like the roles had gotten mixed up between these two.
(Richard, you are the last person to judge anyone for having daddy complex)
When Jinx quickly turns her attention to an empty space next to them Richard only follows her gaze with his own eyes. He, clearly, can't see anything there but that doesn't prevent the uneasiness and dread hanging above his head. So, there is another spirit among us? It seems like Silco had spoken to truth when he had mentioned his daughter bearing the same curse as Richard.
All he hopes is that the spell won't spread like a curse and draw out his own demons.]
Your doubts are misplaced, lady Jinx. I have shared a conversation with Silco before, yes. Just like most of people in this establishment. Also, you really are underestimating your own influence. I have heard your name passed from lip to lip in the darkness of the docks.

so why doesn't he sit right with her? it's not as if he is vash's brother, who silco believed had some kind of potential, and yet the guy was completely out of his mind, and very unstable. and richard isn't akechi either, who is slimy and might seek out to harm her father again because.... — actually, jinx isn't too sure why he assaulted silco in the first place. because he's weird? for attention? jealous of his success?
whatever the case may be, richard doesn't seem to fit the bill of him. and it's not like she doesn't want her father to have friends, otherwise, she wouldn't have created his okcindr profile to help him seek for potential suitors. besides, she is fond of miller and believes he is the perfect companion for silco. both funny old men who can reminisce about the glory days of their youth...or....work. and vash, is another individual, she has no quarrel with the two conversing. is it because vash and miller were essentially hand-picked by her and richard emerged out of nowhere? is it because she got to know the other two first before silco met them? or maybe.... she is just overthinking again. ]
[ blowing hot air through her nostrils, the blueberry haired girl slips off the stool and marches grimly to the other — her steps moving in a bizarre teeter-totter sway. her pinks study his face, then his jawline, then his shoulders, and down to the rest of him; like a vulture inspecting over their meal if it's worth a taste or to search for something meatier. ]
Hm.

Okay.
[ she says, voice sweet, but the word gushes way off course from her tongue.]
Guess you got me there ♪.
