[open] JUNE CATCH ALL
Who: Astralin and you!
Where: Astralin's farm, Aldrip, and the tavern.
What: June catch all!
Warnings: None for now.
i.
[Astralin had been busy fending off monsters as best as he could. So, in the aftermath of everything, you can find him in the streets of Aldrip lingering around the injured citizens who approach him for help. Gladly offering his abilities, despite how muted his healing powers were. Still, it was the least he could do, since they were helpful to him during the building of his farm, and he sits at the edge of one of the benches, where the injured come up to him and point out where they're injured.
It's not hard work, and his hands glow momentarily to ease their pains and bruises. Luckily, not needing to actually touch them to heal them, but it does take more of his energy than usual. Although, he doesn't let that show, and he motions the next person to come toward him once he's finished with that particular person.
Feel free to approach him while he's healing people. He wouldn't mind the chat to keep up his literal spirit energy to heal these folks.]
ii.
a.
[After healing a conga line of people, Astralin can be found relaxing on his farm with the animals. He's in the barn with one of the cows, and several chickens that had been spooked after the whole ordeal. Luckily, he seems to calm them down after a few peaceful moments of reassuring them with words and gentle touches to ease their nerves. Astralin himself rather tired after healing so many people at once, and at minimum power, but he'd live.
Once he manages to calm down his animals, you can now find him in the middle of the fields, where he uses his awfully large scythe to cut down any weeds that surround the fields. His eyes looking heavy, but again, he doesn't let it bother him in the slightest. It was his job to help the people, so he'd do just that. Not to mention, the fields wouldn't work themselves. He'd have to do it anyway, despite his slowly looming exhaustion.]
b.
[Alternatively, after all his hard work, he can be found at the tavern enjoying a nice beer, and a large tray of. Well. Vegetables. Since the man hardly ate meat. He looks very tired at this point, but he's enjoying his platter of vegetables, and his ale in hand.]

Apparently he missed one, or maybe he's right behind it. Either way, Mizuki stands in the chicken's way; first with a mildly surprised expression, and then a smirk. ]
And where do you think you're going? Ah-ah-ah—! [ Tsk, tsk! The chicken tries to hobble around her! But that's not going to work. Mizuki is scooping it up in her arms. ] Back to dad.
no subject
That Dad comment... He could honestly cry right now. If only because him and Mizuki had bonded quite a bit with her being on the farm so often. It's an unconscious smile that spreads upon his face, as he reaches for the chicken that's cradled in Mizuki's arms.]
Thank you, Mizuki. I do appreciate your help on the farm... It has been a great relief that you are here to help me.
[He does well taking care of everything by himself, but it doesn't mean he doesn't appreciate the help!]
You need not go back to the inn tonight, if you wish to use one of the beds in the house. It is not a long trip, but you have worked hard today.
no subject
Should she be nervous...? ]
Thanks... It didn't feel like much. I like it here.
[ It doesn't feel like "work."
...She pointedly doesn't decline or accept his offer. Would Vi worry...? ]
I, uh, probably shouldn't overstay my welcome, but I figured you might need a hand.

With that in mind, he took one of the horses from the stables out for a little ride to see what else the village had around it, a sweet-tempered chestnut mare named Piper. Eventually, he comes across Astralin's farm. One of many, he's sure, but it's a welcome sight away from the town and its people. Besides, he thinks Piper's just about ready for some lunch. ]
Hey there! [ He calls out, waving a hand at the farmer tending to his fields. ] Mind if I let Piper here graze a little in these fields?
no subject
Ah, please feel free. There are a few snacks in here as well, but I will come to you.
[He needs a break from the fields anyway, given that he started a bit late on his own. The man quickly pressing his gardening tool into the ground, and striding across the field so that he can formally meet Claude and his horse. Astralin already reaching for his pocket, where he holds out a carrot for the horse to take.]
... Ah. Are you one of the chosen as well?
no subject
[ He hops off of his horse and undoes her bridle, letting her trot out into the field and graze to her heart's content. He stretches his arms above his head, keeping himself limber after a day of riding. It wasn't hard riding, but there's nothing more to staying good at it than practice. ]
I am, yeah. I'm starting to see that it's obvious, [ he says, trotting on over. ] As well? You mean you're one too? I didn't think anyone was here long enough to start a whole farm. Unless I'm talking to but a humble labourer, and I'm in danger of getting you in hot water with the boss.

iia.
It's alright. It's over now.
[ She coos gently as she arrives on Astralin's farm, looking to return the chicken to its home. If she can bring the animal some comfort, it would be a solace to her as well. ]
Hello, Astralin. [ She greets him looking more forlorn than usual. ] Do you recognize this stray one?
no subject
I do. That is Scramble, my usual suspect of escape. She must have been frightened from the commotion.
[He speaks a bit louder than normal, given the distance and all. However, he does meet her halfway after shoving his shovel into the ground. The man quickly making his way toward Marianne, where he offers out his arms for Scramble to, once again, waddle into his arms. The man cradling the chicken with another sigh.]
This one tends to get out more often than usual, despite the system I have in place, but alas.
[His gaze softens, and moves back toward Marianne. She looks quite tired.]</small. Are you alright?
no subject
Scramble, I'm so glad we got you home.
[ She murmurs to the chicken as she steps forward and delivers her into Astralin's waiting arms. Marianne watches the two of them, happy to see them reunited. ]
I'm alright. [ It makes her feel guilty to think about, and she ducks her head as she speaks. So many innocent people had been injured, and she was here, just fine... ] I'm more worried about everyone else. How are you faring?
[ Walking in she'd seen that his farm was mostly undamaged, and Astralin himself looked worn out but alright, which makes Marianne breathe a sigh of relief. What about his many animals? ]

but she still finds herself healing people as well still, leaving a dead ring of plants in her wake.
she sees Astralin use his own magic, and she approaches the bench.]
You look tired.
[says the woman who also looks tired.]
I can always take the healing from here.
no subject
Still, there were more people to be healed, and when Leanne approaches, he thinks that she's one of them. Immediately extending his hands out to heal her, but he stops once she makes that comment, and he can't help but laugh. His gaze softening a bit as his eyes begin to feel heavy.]
Perhaps we can work together to heal these people... Take a seat beside me. I am sure there are many others who are needing our assistance.
[Look at those group of villagers coming their way.]

i;
Astralin isn't familiar to him, but Scott watches as the older man heals those that have come to him and isn't that a pretty useful skill?? He knows that the chances of this guy being a mutant is probably slim, but the teen finds himself walking over to him in a totally casual manner and not looking at all awkward as he stops off to the side of him. He doesn't need to be healed so no point clogging the line.]
I'm not cutting in line or anything. [Oops, was that defensive??] Just uh, wanted to watch.
[He says almost lamely.]
no subject
Oh? Are you interesting in healing arts, young one?
[The child that he's healing immediately thanks him for healing her, before running off. It gives Scott much more room to be nosy if he so wishes, as another elderly woman who fractured her arm approaches him. Astralin's hand resting on the area where it's fractured, as a bright light begins to emit from his fingertips.]

I'm...so sorry. [And he really does look it, holding his hands up to show they're empty, and with a very guilty expression.] I didn't mean to trespass. I, uh, assumed no one actually lived here.
no subject
That is quite alright. This place is very much occupied, but ah... I do not mind. Is there something I can help you with, sir?
[You know, he surprisingly sounds very gentle and calm, all things considered.]

That's what brings him to slide into the chair across from this lanky, pointy-eared guy, placing a beer for himself on his side and another he's brought in their direction. ]
Saw you doing a thing earlier, helping people looked like, with glowing hands. Mind a bit of conversation?
no subject
I do not mind. Is there something I can help you with?
[He didn't think he had much of an audience, and he has to admit, it's a bit embarrassing that he had someone notice his deeds. Still, it was worth it, and he scoots a bit to the side to give the man a bit more room.]

sorry for the delay!
wildcardish 2a, I hope this is okay!
It's a "two birds with one stone" kind of scenario, since his death at the hands of a certain cyan haired girl left him in a weakened state not even the local clerics seem to be able to completely fix. Which is half the reason why Saito approaches the taller man, internally scoffing at the insanely huge weapon being used as a farming tool... geez, something this deadly has much better uses.]
Are you Astralin?
[For some reason, this totally not shady intruder apparently even knows who Astralin is.]
YES OF COURSE sorry for the delay!!
What's even more odd is that this particular stranger knows his name. It... Sets off certain alarm bells in his head. However, he does let it slide for this instance, and he takes a step forward so that he can meet the new stranger.]
... Yes, I am. Do you need some assistance?

wildcard - after new arrivals!
[At some point, she's using the kitchen at the farmhouse for Baking while Shinji is out. Shinjiro is, of course, the undisputed best cook in her opinion, but she'd like to think she makes some decent cookies! And it's cookies she's making now, mixing ingredients with the ease of someone who's done this many times before.]
Did Aragaki-senpai tell you one of our friends showed up? [Like, yeah, Shinji probably wouldn't have used the word "friend," but surely Astralin would still get what he means.] Ken Amada-kun.
no subject
But, he does perk up as she speaks. His head tilted to the side in curiosity, before he hums to himself silently. He... Definitely had mixed feelings about this. If only because it meant their friend would be stuck here, and accused of a crime that they may, or may not have committed.]
Oh? That is... Good that one of your friends are here, but I do worry about them as well. What are they like?

No, no, please go ahead-- I'm merely here to watch. This is all... fascinating to me, you see.
no subject
It is quite alright. Let him through.
[Astralin was... Quite used to having an audience when it came to his healing. Although his powers are no longer as potent as they were at home, he could still at least help with the small things.]

—Excuse me. Would you like to break? Maybe with some company?
[ Yosano called out with a small wave of her gloved hand. She had brought water over from the Inn to share. A considerable soft spot for individuals of the healing variety, Yosano knew all too well how exhausting it could be too heal so many people.]
no subject
What could it hurt?]
Ah... Certainly. A break would not hurt, I suppose...
[He presses his shovel into the dirt, and leaves the small area where he had been working before to sit on a nearby hay bale.]
Are you new to Expiation? I do not think I have seen you around before.
