[Scott's just going to let Mikey rest his head against his thigh, just because. It's cool, nothing weird about this. Definitely what boys do during sleepovers and everything-- not sleepovers. Besides, he looks comfortable, and Scott's feeling sort of content with his head resting there for whatever reason. Maybe because of how relaxed Mikey is.

He continues to lean back against his hands as a loud and fully amused laugh leaves him.]

[His hair is pretty soft... this is pretty nice, actually. Scott doesn't have the energy to really examine himself for having such a thought, but whatever. He's man enough to admit that his friend's hair is nice and everything. Besides, back in December, he sort of found out that he liked kissing dudes and everything. This isn't that much of a big deal.

[And just like that, Scott's back to smiling, that dourness retreating like it was never really there in the first place. He's reminded once again why Mikey's a big hotshot leader back home because even when he's fucking wasted, he's just. Charming and shit. He's always kind of admired that about him, even though he won't admit it.

And to think that Mikey kind of did all this for him... hosting this party or whatever. It really feels nice.]

Just saying, I wouldn't be surprised. What if they force you to buy Jerry new shoes?

(seems like operation 'cheer scott up' was a success, considering the smile. it means the world to him. he might not be the same as he was back home, but the intention and the feeling he has for his people are the same.

they belong to manjiro, in the sense that their sadness, burdens and hardships are his own, too. he'll take everything, from smiles to punches. so, he's smiling right back.)

I'll just give him my boots. They're kid-sized, can you imagine him putting them on?

[He laughs freely at that comment, hand momentarily stopping in the soft strands as the bright and amused sound escapes from his chest.]

Oh man, I almost want to see that now. He'd frown and grunt and probably sentence my ass for laughing at him. [Mikey's boots would probably be ruined in the process, but worth it, probably. Man, Mikey really has an answer to everything, it feels like it at least.]

Can you imagine that moves into your parchment? Scott Summers, something tall, lasers, producing laughter.

(it's just because he is stupid, but god, he is finding this absolutely hilarious, snorts and his gremlin giggles coming out of him before he hides his face against the leg, he's so freaking red.)
