Do I get an award for lateness?
Who: Sora and whomest??
Where: Various
What: Backdated log for glitches and corruption
Warnings: Corruption induced violence?
Not the ice level! - backdated to start of the month
Whoa-whoa-whoa-!
[Everything had been normal by the standards of this place. Sora had just been making her way back to the inn after picking up snacks, hugging a large paper bag to her chest. Her legs awkwardly scrambling as she tried to keep her balance.
But her feet couldn't find any grip. She just kept sliding... Sliding and making strange whimpering noise. Not her groceries! ]
She wants to go back to the ice level...
[Maybe sliding around wasn't so bad.
That was very much Sora's line of thinking. When after she'd finally gotten home, packed her shopping away, sat down and....fell through the world? She didn't have time to scream as she started falling through the void.
Oh wait. Did she just jump back up? Nevermind, falling again.
She looked around.]
Oh, hello. [At least someone else was floating around too.] Um...Do you know what's happening?
Have you ever wanted to go apeshit ?
Did we do something wrong?
[Sora had never been great about confrontation. The locals' sudden change in behavior had made her uneasy. The morning had started normal, she'd been running around the park and had seen a man who she'd normally pass as he went to pick up a paper. She'd wished him good morning and had paused to wave.
Only for him to scowl, turn away and start storming off.
Most would have probably left him be at that point. Sora though? She didn't like leaving things. So she'd stopped her run and instead, decided to jog up to him. Asking her question.
That just seemed like the easiest way to solve the problem, didn't it? Asking what they'd done didn't feel awkward to her.
It did for the NPC though. He just made a face, shifted like he was about to say something.
Then he turned again and just started walking.
People who knew Sora might have noticed the change in her demeanor at that point. The gritted teeth, the clenched fists, how her brow furrowed. Then she summoned her gauntlets. Then she lunged forward, sending up gusts of wind to send the man flying.
...He was fine. Probably. He got thrown into a bush.
And Sora had lifted her head, slowly turning to the next nearest person, tears in her eyes. Even as the master core of her gauntlets started generating more wind.]

apeshit
Fauna rushes to catch the guy before he hits the ground, rolling with him. Then, not expecting gratitude, she just leaps up, springing forward to try to grab Sora's arms before she can follow up.]
The hell are you doing?!
no subject
Though there was no need to worry about Sora attacking him again. Because Fauna had entered her range instead. Making herself the target. Not that Sora attacked straight away.
For a second, she just stared with wide teary eyes.
Then purple veins started creeping up her neck, just reaching her damp cheeks.
That's when she lunged. Charging electricity into her fists.]
no subject
Purple veins. Tears. She's not in control of herself. Being controlled. Enemy nearby? Unlikely. Infection. "Gnosia"? Aldrip forcing it? Making people try to murder again?
Fauna's eyes tint red as she leaps backwards, springing off her her hands. She's not transforming yet.]
I don't know who you are, but you don't want to be doing this. Do you?
no subject
Then she threw her fist forward, the electricity exploding outwards, almost forming a shield in front of her.]
no subject
Fauna dives to the side- Even if the electricity isn't flowing to her, it's only arcing in front as a shield, she doesn't want to take that risk. Still seems short range.... Can she fight it? Just tears...
She has to fight.
She pulls the magatama from her choker, crushing it in her hand to split it into two.]
Last chance. Stop yourself, or I'll stop you. But you have to stop- You know you don't want to do this. Are you so weak that this place can control you?
no subject
There was a small, choked noise.
Otherwise she only adjusted her stance, one foot behind her, lowering herself. Getting ready to rush.]
1/2
[She raises her arms in front of her, showing her brace and the magatama, taking a pose.]
Wild Change!
[Slamming the magatama into their holders on the brace, she's shrouded in darkness, like night fell.]
no subject
Night Wild. I've come in response to your wish.
[The tears make her wish clear enough- This girl must be wishing for someone to stop her.
Night Wild throws an ofuda forward, a block of ice slicking the ground between them. Making a rush much harder.]
no subject
That said, the charge failed. Because Sora's feet slid on the ice and scrabbled, almost running on the spot for a moment as she tried to keep momentum going.
She still attempted to push forward and land her punch though. Even if she'd been half her normal speed. Look, her brain wasn't exactly working.]

Not the Ice Level!
Sora??
[He crouches down to try to catch her as she slides towards him!]
no subject
She squeaked when she was caught, partly bumping into him as she slid along.
Sora managed a short laugh.]
Thank you.
[Except her feet still didn't have friction.]
no subject
You're welcome? I guess I'm in the right place at the right time.
[But if her feet are continuing to slip, he might have trouble keeping his hold!]
So, uh, what's going on?
no subject
I'm not sure. Everything was fine, then I stepped in the park and just....started sliding around?
[It was really weird. She shifted though, shoving her bag at him....Though that pushed her body away.]
Can you take this? I just brought eggs. [The last part came out rapidly as she started to panic.]
no subject
[He takes the grocery bag - but he quickly realizes the flaw in letting go of her as she starts sliding back]
Wait, don't go away yet! [He hurries towards her, to try to hold onto her with one hand while he carries the groceries in the other arm.] Man this thing has got you bad! What, were they playing a game of 'the floor is ice?'?
no subject
[Plz, it's fine as long as her food is safe. She hated wasting food, it was tasty... She'd scratch her face, but she had her arms out for balance.]
I don't know. It reminds me of those block-pushing puzzles... These things keep happening here.
no subject
It sounds like another one of those glitch things going on. In which case, we have to try to keep you safe until it wears off.
no subject
Um...How are you going to do that? I'd feel bad about taking up your time for something like this.

Apeshit
[Well that sure happened. Seeing Sora launch a local--or anyone, really--was not a thing he expected to see this morning. Or any morning/time of day. What did he just stumble across?]
A-are you okay?
[The gathering wind is a bit worrying and he doesn't even notice one hand moving towards the gun hidden in his coat.]
no subject
Her lips trembled slightly, mouth opening. But she said nothing. The veins of her neck pulsing purple.
Then she took up her stance. Her gauntlets emitting a green light from their core.]
no subject
I-i-its alright. I don't want to fight.
no subject
She still darted forward to throw a punch, even if it was sluggish compared to her normal pace.]
HA-!
no subject
even if its a lie.]Just calm down. Breathe.
no subject
She didn't lunge at him this time. Though she threw a fist out, even with the distance between them.
Mostly because she'd shot a blast of air at him.]
no subject
Sora.
[He says firmly.]
Calm down. I am not your enemy.
no subject
Slowly she took a step nearer, then another, then she stumbled.]
Urg-
[Nevermind, she's just falling over.]
