Do I get an award for lateness?
Who: Sora and whomest??
Where: Various
What: Backdated log for glitches and corruption
Warnings: Corruption induced violence?
Not the ice level! - backdated to start of the month
Whoa-whoa-whoa-!
[Everything had been normal by the standards of this place. Sora had just been making her way back to the inn after picking up snacks, hugging a large paper bag to her chest. Her legs awkwardly scrambling as she tried to keep her balance.
But her feet couldn't find any grip. She just kept sliding... Sliding and making strange whimpering noise. Not her groceries! ]
She wants to go back to the ice level...
[Maybe sliding around wasn't so bad.
That was very much Sora's line of thinking. When after she'd finally gotten home, packed her shopping away, sat down and....fell through the world? She didn't have time to scream as she started falling through the void.
Oh wait. Did she just jump back up? Nevermind, falling again.
She looked around.]
Oh, hello. [At least someone else was floating around too.] Um...Do you know what's happening?
Have you ever wanted to go apeshit ?
Did we do something wrong?
[Sora had never been great about confrontation. The locals' sudden change in behavior had made her uneasy. The morning had started normal, she'd been running around the park and had seen a man who she'd normally pass as he went to pick up a paper. She'd wished him good morning and had paused to wave.
Only for him to scowl, turn away and start storming off.
Most would have probably left him be at that point. Sora though? She didn't like leaving things. So she'd stopped her run and instead, decided to jog up to him. Asking her question.
That just seemed like the easiest way to solve the problem, didn't it? Asking what they'd done didn't feel awkward to her.
It did for the NPC though. He just made a face, shifted like he was about to say something.
Then he turned again and just started walking.
People who knew Sora might have noticed the change in her demeanor at that point. The gritted teeth, the clenched fists, how her brow furrowed. Then she summoned her gauntlets. Then she lunged forward, sending up gusts of wind to send the man flying.
...He was fine. Probably. He got thrown into a bush.
And Sora had lifted her head, slowly turning to the next nearest person, tears in her eyes. Even as the master core of her gauntlets started generating more wind.]

If this was a normal enemy... she'd be taking this chance to finish the job. But... This isn't a normal enemy. This person's being controlled. It's not like she wants to risk seriously injuring this girl unless she has to, and if she's stuck.... Maybe she should try to freeze her in place? No, she feels kind of bad about that idea...
Maybe that jump into the bush was enough to regain her senses.
Night Wild walks forward, to try to grab Sora's ankles and pull her out.]

In her formal training, she'd dealt with things like ankle swipes. Then in actual combat there'd been the occasional greed that went low. But nothing had outright grabbed her ankles and dragged her, not while she was already down.
So Sora didn't have any experience breaking out of it. Especially not when she wasn't thinking. So instead of any kind of technique or anything remotely tactical.
She just started wiggling and thrashing around.]

If you want out of there, you're going to have to calm down.

There was just angry grunts as she kept trying to break free. At least she wasn't trying to use those gauntlets anymore, she'd been too thrown off for that. Now it was just grouchy wiggles.]

So, in true superheroic fashion, Night Wild does the only reasonable thing.
She just sort of... sits down. To watch Sora. See if she tires herself out or anything.]

Oh.
Okay, that was a snore.]

This is weird. She'll lie Sora down gently, and hope for the best...]
