[training mingle] Let's get down the business!
Who: Everyone out there!
Where: Outskirts of the Aldrip - Training Grounds
What: It's time for the Boot(y) Camp! The Chosen of Aldrip have all been invited to train, learn and spar!
Warnings: Other than the general violence? TBA..!
It is early morning on the 9th of September. The sun is shining, the air is fresh and nicely brisk, which means that it is just perfect time for Aldrip's first ever group training! How did you find your way there? Who knows! Maybe you were one of the people who saw the original announcement on the network, or noticed posters about it around Adlrip. Or maybe you were brought here by friendly white boar. Well, whatever the reason is what matters is that you are here. Welcome.
The empty field near the outskirts of the City has been transformed into a makeshift training camp. There are couple of tents set up around the camp. Some of them work as rather simplified armories containing pretty limited amount of blades, axes, armors, firearms, bows and arrows and what have you. Feel free to pick your poison, so to speak, but be sure to return what you borrow. Richard is keeping an eye on the weapons and will notice if something goes missing. Of course, characters are more than welcomed to use their own weapons and armors etc. Other tents are for resting, ER practice and dining. The lunch is sponsored by the Sandwich Hut.
The official training areas and their respective teachers/staff are the following:
Spiritual training/magic: Kurama, Douman, Kakashi
First-aid: Ethlyn, Morph, Bones
Rescue training: Morph, Bones
Hand-to-hand combat:Jirk Jim & Spock, Kakashi
Tech support:Jirk Jim & Spock
Fire arms: Caitlyn, Levi
Swords & Melee: Richard, Hiei
Archery: Richard
Survival skills: Richard, Kurama
Military training: Jim & Spock, Miller, Richard
Endurance training: Bones
Lunch: Junpei (and Whitey the Albino Boar)
If there is an activity a character would like to do that isn't included in the list that's no problem. Feel free to create your own top-level with said activity or you know! Just the usual stuff that varies from silly hang-out to whatever your heart desires.
Also for references sake: here is the OG ooc info post about regarding the mingle

Sora had showed up in a simple tracksuit, then started working through the stances she knew. The Ikushima dojo style, punch-punch-roundhorse kick. Then the Kokonoe dojo stances. Just standard karate, like she would have done during her school club.
Then she had a 'break'. Where she went and sat under a tree, quietly placing her hands in her lap. Just going to meditate for a bit.
If approached, she'd pause, smile and bow.]
Hello, do you need any help?
[She was just happy to be here!
But later on, after seeing a few people using powers. Sora squinted at them, chewing her lip, thinking about it... Then she stood up, cracked her knuckles and in a flash of light. Her gauntlets formed.. Then she went through the stances she'd done before, just with her soul device.]

However, he's lucky enough to catch the instance of when she manifests those large gauntlets on her hands and it's clear that those heavy looking weapons aren't weighing her down as she continues with her previous training. So... that's her special ability, huh? The one she was pretty cagey about. It's pretty cool, being able to create a weapon from thin air?? He wonders if there's more or just the one.
Well, Scott's not going to let this opportunity pass by him. It's time to be something he's gotten really good at: being nosy as hell.]
You know, you're making the 'regular girl with no powers' routine look unbelievable now. Just throwing that out there.
no subject
It turned sheepish when he spoke. Her cheeks flushing slightly.]
Ehehe... [Yup, just going to laugh for a moment. Then she bowed her head.] I'm very sorry for lying. [She gave it a few seconds, then lifted her head again.] I didn't know it was so...common here.
no subject
[Scott, how is that helpful??? It probably doesn't help that the comment comes out in a rather blunt tone, even if he waves a hand like he doesn't care all that much about her initial lying. It's not what he's focused on. He's far more interested in her weapons-- and how they just formed around her.]
Come on, I mentioned Personas and everything to you, right? [He rolls his eyes behind his shades.] So yeah, this is common. It's also why I run a club that's for teenagers with abilities.
no subject
I don't know what that Persona stuff is and I didn't know about the club then.
no subject
[Hurray, welcome to the definitely exclusive club. He'll make her a membership card and everything (not really but it's fine). Really, Scott's not thinking about it too much, still more interested about the stuff she's got.]
So, how does that all work? [He makes a motion to her gauntlets.]
no subject
[But she finally lifted her head. Tilting it. Then she groaned. ]
Umm, I'm not really sure how to answer that. [There was so much, where to start.]
no subject
He curves one hand against his hip, appearing expectant as he lightly needles her.]
Come on, you can start with the basics at least, right?
[Here, he'll totally help.] Like, how do they form? Or what are they made of?
no subject
Even if she was staring at him, frowning, her eyebrows pinching together.]
I just think about them and they appear and... I guess they're made out of metal? But they're apart of me as well though... [Scratching her cheek. Sorry Scott, you have the least helpful one.]
no subject
Yeah, that makes sense. [He'll just say that even if he doesn't fully understand. Still, Scott's acceptance is genuine, the mutant lightly shrugging as his smile curves into a smirk.]
Sometimes you're just able to form gauntlets onto your hands. It happens.
I'm sorry lmao
Yep. I was so confused when they appeared but I just knew how to use them. [That probably didn't mean much for a pair of gauntlets though. They were pretty basic compared to a chainsword.
But as she spoke, she was reaching into her pockets. Bringing out a phone, not the phone given to her here, but her Xiphone.
She held it out, showing him a screen.]
I can change the parameters on this. [Then she sighed.] Not here though. I only know really basic things.
[She could only change elements and her master core.]
no subject
Sure you didn't just punch a lot of things beforehand? [And thus why her powers manifested as gauntlets?? It would make a lot of sense to Scott. However, the teen arches an eyebrow as Sora brings out an unfamiliar device, a phone that looks similar to the tablet, but still clearly different. Distinct.
He looks at the screen for a few seconds and... okay he doesn't know what any of that is, but.]
So, like changing the shape of your gauntlets? That's a neat trick.
no subject
Sora gave a light laugh, putting her phone away and resummoning her gauntlets. She lifted one, the green gemstone near her fist glinting. ]
Sort of. This bit is a master core, we can change them to change our affinity... I don't really how it all works because I'm still new to this.
no subject
[Well, at least she really doesn't seem to understand how her own powers work. Scott can sort of understand that; he really doesn't know why beams shoot out of his eyes besides the X-Gene awakening in him. Does that single gene just tell his body that he can do that?? He doesn't know.
Professor McCoy might've figured it out if he had more time, but... he was only there for two days before being brought here. Scott doesn't let his thoughts bother him though, just looking at the gemstone for a moment before waving a hand as if saying 'it's fine.']
And it's cool, you'll probably figure it out eventually. Most important thing is learning control and how to use it.
no subject
I can control it... At least I think I can anyway. From what I was told it comes naturally, because it's a part of me. [She frowned, then slumped again.] A lot happened in one school term.
no subject
Scott decides to put a small pause on asking her more about that, because she's talking about control and natural powers and that's always a big thing for him.]
Speaking from experience, just because a power is a part of you, doesn't mean that you can control it. [Granted, she does seem to have control, but maybe there's more to it.]
no subject
I don't know anyone who can't control it. Yuu-kun isn't very good at athletics, but he doesn't have any trouble with his mallet. And there's senpai's chain sword... [Then she flinched slightly, realizing something.]
Oh, there's the angel greed... But I guess that was kind of the opposite. [Sora, really wasn't helping.]
no subject
[He remarks, unable to and honestly not wanting to hide the dryness from his voice. Yeah, so what, he can still be a shit to people about this sort of thing, even if it's important to him.]
But, really. Even if most people can control it, doesn't mean everyone can. At that point, you just try and learn the extent of your powers, control what you can, and do what you can from there.
no subject
But I know what I can do. Mostly....
no subject
As such, Scott nods at her, his tone encouraging.]
'Mostly' isn't everything. [...] We're training, right? Show off what you can do, besides punching of course.
no subject
But for now, she was scratching her cheek.]
Well you see, I'm not really sure how. I've only used them in fights, so I'm not sure what do as training...
no subject
[Blah blah learning the extent of one's power. Adopting some Charles Xavier wisdom now, even though he only knew the guy for like a day. At least she's able to control her powers on a basic level so far.]
Like, do you know what sort of material can still block your punches? That's important to figure out.
no subject
Um...Other Soul Devices and some eclipse materials can block it. I can break through walls and stuff pretty easily.
[...That wasn't concerning at all.]
no subject
Hm, he wonders if she could block his optic blasts. It would be interesting to see, but it might be too dangerous to test out. Be easier if he had a visor to better control the output of his powers.]
Care to explain what an eclipse material is?
no subject
[She really didn't get how it worked. She'd seen Mayu working on things and how she'd managed to merge a feather with metal to make a sword.]
One time, a group used a plant from there to make drugs that made people more aggressive.
