TWAT club meeting mingle
Who: Scott Summers and members of TWAT (Teenagers With Abilities and Talents) Club. Or any teenager that just stops by really.
Where: Roof of the club building
What: Teenagers with abilities or maybe no real abilities hanging out on the rooftop and eating food. Talking. Doing club stuff.
Warnings: Probably none.
[Maybe you're already part of TWAT club and read the message that Scott sent out to everyone, basically stating that they're having a meeting this Saturday to just hang out and meet new members. Or you saw one of the flyers around town that mentioned about having a meeting. Either way, the meeting is held at the rooftop of the club building, so just come. No food or anything required. He's a good leader like that, yeah. Definitely.]
before the meeting;
[Why did you come early, god.
Well, anyone that is one of those people that like to come early to events, Scott's putting you to work. Maybe it's just helping getting the food out on the tables, or bringing up chairs or tables up to the rooftop. Either way, work needs to be done and setup is still in progress, so pair up with other TWAT members or whatever to get things ready. Thanks, Scott appreciates it. Probably.
Also, if you have your own food or brought a game of some sort, that's cool. He definitely isn't going to say no. Go set that up.]
just hanging out;
[Once the meeting starts and Scott gives some basic speech and welcoming new people to TWAT Club (in which he wasn't nervous at all shut up), people are more than welcome to just eat the pretty decent spread laid out in the tables. Stuff like chips, pizza, rice balls, ramen, probably some mixture of American and Japanese food because he's him and his girlfriend is Kotone, so yeah. There's also a little sign or note in front of the tables that states 'provided by cooking club, so join us. ✨'
Since this is a place filled with teenagers and abilities... Scott probably has encouraged people to show off their powers a little. JUST DON'T BLOW SOMETHING UP it's okay, he's talking about himself too. Of course, he's not forcing anyone to show off their powers and everything, but he sort of hopes people are feeling more comfortable to do so. That is the purpose of his club and everything.
There's also a random cornhole game set up. Don't ask.]
after club;
[Feel like being a nice person and help clean up? Nice. Scott isn't forcing anyone to stay after to do so, but he appreciates the help. It's mostly just taking tables down and clearing out the trash. Anyone that stays can probably take home some of the leftovers. So, that's a nice bonus.
Maybe you just want to sit on the ground and enjoy the evening a little. He's not judging.]
[ooc: TWAT mingle log! Please feel free to post your own top levels and tag each other. :> If your character would bring food or set something up, go right ahead. The more the better, right? Also your character doesn't need to be part of TWAT to join, Scott will just sort of let any teenager in. 'Teenager' being anyone that doesn't look too much like an oldie--]

iii.
He steps out onto the roof. The last time he was here, it was just him and Kotone on that March 5th morning. Carefully, he makes his way over to Yu, but doesn't sit down just yet. ]
...the view is nice here, isn't it?
[ It's his way of asking for permission to join, or whether Yu prefers to be left alone. If the latter, he understands. ]
no subject
Mm, it is, [he agrees, quietly gesturing beside him at the edge of the building, in answer to the unasked question.] Reminds me a little of home.
[He's not sure anymore whether he means Tokyo, or Inaba. Both? Japan as a whole? He's quiet for a second, thoughtful, but once Minato is settled, he ventures a question:] How've you been?
slapping a "subject to retcon" on this entire thread jdksgdj
But "home" is wherever one feels the safest and most at-ease, isn't it?
Minato steps a bit closer to Yu and takes a seat at the other's side. His feet dangle off the edge of the building. He glances down at them, also silent for a little while as he pulls together an answer to Yu's question. ]
It's been okay.
[ Noncommittal as ever. He's been a little withdrawn since Sha-Ming's return, which isn't necessarily out of the ordinary for him. While he's relieved about Sha-Ming's return, the lack of details surrounding his disappearance have him troubled.
Somehow, he manages a small smile. He's not here to speak about his own worries after all. ]
...you?
no subject
... and of course he wonders whether Minato sees it in him, the same way he sees the opposite.
As for how he's been? That's so much harder to answer, especially in a simple way. Everything has gotten so complicated, so painful...and he still has a lot of feelings to sort out about it.]
About the same, I think, [is the answer he finally settles on, giving Minato a faintly knowing look.] But it's nice, coming to something like this.
[Being with everyone like this, may be closer to what he actually means.]

still, after the third or so persona yu pulls out, kakashi ventures to speak.]
So these are your...summons? You have a contract with them?
[that's the closest thing kakashi can relate it to, although he has no explanation for why yu doesn't have to sacrifice a bit of blood for every "summon".]
no subject
A contract? [He has to pause a second to figure out how to word an answer to that, because it's not far off from reality.] Sort of. It's a contract that allows me to summon them, but...it's not directly with them.
[He was always a little hazy on the details. Hilariously, Trumpeter is just hanging out at this point, floating ominously and peering over his shoulder like it's waiting for orders or something.]
no subject
[he's peering at trumpeter with open curiosity. will it chime in? a summon from kakashi's world would totally chime in to a conversation about it.]
no subject
[Okay, he looks mildly perplexed at that. After a second, he shakes his head.] I've never needed to offer blood for any of it. Is...that common for you?

hanging out;
He just wants to just chat with Yu and stuff, maybe play another cornhole game. Or mention how Izanagi is a pretty cool Persona. And that Neko Shogun is kind of cute. And Trumpeter--
.........]
You're a Wildcard?!
[SINCE WHEN-- and don't mind Scott just pointing a finger at Yu.]
no subject
Later, though, because now Scott is wagging a finger in his direction and exclaiming things he thought were obvious...??]
I never said that? [Wow. That's both surprising and hilariously not. He does tend to be kind of understated.] ... I thought you knew.
[oops]
no subject
His finger continues to point directly at Yu's direction, waving just slightly as if to emphasize his point.] No! Obviously not!
[Because he wouldn't be yelling and probably drawing attention to them otherwise. Or maybe not, because look, Scott being loud like this isn't that weird. Either way, he doesn't care, because yelling is totally warranted when Yu never mentioned such a big detail like this before! He knows how unusual it is for a person to be a 'Wildcard,' Shinjiro confirmed that to him. Of the Persona teens he knows of, only Koto and Minato fit that.
Yes he'll kick Akira too later on--]
God you suck.
[HUFF. He'll just playfully shove Yu's shoulder. Mostly anyway.]
no subject
Even if he was, this reaction is too good.]
Must've slipped my mind.
[Ha ha. He's got jokes. His mood is lightening by the second even as Scott shoves his shoulder, but he manages to give an utterly unconvincing pout in response anyway.]
Careful. We Wildcards are delicate.

so after they put everything up, he moves to sit down next to Yu on the rooftop, sighing.]
I'm pooped. What about you?
[a way of asking if he's okay without actually asking-]
no subject
Mhm, [he nods; his voice on the edge of humor but doesn't quite get there.] All that showing off is a lot of work, huh?
[He bumps Yosuke's shoulder softly, somewhat playfully. He saw all those slick moves with Susano-o.]
no subject
[Oh wait, this is normal for them. Nevermind, she's still oblivious.]

[Yosuke grins a bit at Yu, and brushes his hand across the back of his. it's not that they really show a lot of affection in public, and it's not for embarrassment. it's just that they just... don't.
but he doesn't really care about all that right now.]
What about you? You were showing off more than me I think, switching them out like it was no big deal.
no subject
[... but the light brush of Yosuke's hand in his sparks something he didn't realize he needed, even as it takes him a moment to figure out what to do with that feeling.
No hesitation. Not anymore. The moment he feels the impulse, he leans over, resting his head on Yosuke's shoulder.]
... It's tougher than it looks.
[He can't tell whether he's talking still about his Personas, or something deeper. Either way, he's infinitely grateful that Yosuke is here.]

Which is weird.
But hey, look at this!! She's actually early to something!! Gwen is suited up just for safety, so Spider-Woman sure is helping set up for the evening, and when she hears Yu's call for help? There sure is webbing shooting past him and catching the doornob, which loosens it with just enough force that it cracks the door open ajar.]
Need a hand with that table?
no subject
Which it shouldn't. He's met magical girls and monsters and actually also a superhero...and he summons brain demons at will. This absolutely shouldn't be a surprise.]
I wouldn't say no to some help, [said with a quirk of smile, in spite of how weirdly thrown off he is. With a nod to the outfit, he adds,] Spiders, huh? That's an interesting theme.
no subject
Yeah, yeah. I've heard all the jokes already. Not a lot of options for themes when you get bitten by a radioactive spider and get spider powers.

It's only when he summons Neko Shogun though that the redhead finally pipes up from where she had been sitting and watching the entire thing. ]
.. he's weirdly cute.
[ A cat in an old-fashioned outfit, Ange? Really?? ]
no subject
That said, her comment makes him smile a bit.]
He is, [...apparently Yu has the same weird taste. Though the cat general seems to draw up his chin at the remark, almost proudly.] Neko Shogun. I think there's some mythology behind him...something about a general whose name sounded like the word "cat."
no subject
[ ...
Yes, she's saying that mostly unprompted. It's not like Yu was asking her for the name, and yet the girl somehow.. seems to have that knowledge at the ready? She says it so plainly too, like she didn't have to think too deeply about that one. It just consisted of digging into her own memories a little bit.
At first she's still staring at Neko Shogun as she says it, but then she turns her head towards Yu, figuring she should add as an explanation: ]
One of my uncles was really into weird stories about old-timey generals when I was a kid. I remembered that story. [ Probably because Ange thought it was cute and kind of funny. Just like Neko Shogun itself. ]
