What: Teenagers with abilities or maybe no real abilities hanging out on the rooftop and eating food. Talking. Doing club stuff.
Warnings: Probably none.

[Maybe you're already part of TWAT club and read the message that Scott sent out to everyone, basically stating that they're having a meeting and it's definitely required for you to come and hang out and meet new members. Or you saw one of the flyers around town that mentioned about having a meeting and that newbies are welcome to stop by. Either way, the meeting is held at the rooftop of the club building, so just come. No food or anything required. He's a good leader like that, yeah. Definitely.]

[Why do you keep coming early!!

Well, anyone that is one of those people that likes coming early to events, Scott's putting you to work. Yep, immediately volunteered. Maybe it's just helping to get the food out on the tables, or bringing chairs or tables up to the rooftop. Either way, work needs to be done and setup is still in progress, so pair up with other TWAT members or whatever to get things ready. Thanks, Scott appreciates it. Probably. At this point, he might be relying on people to show up early to help...

Also, if you have your own food or brought a game of some sort, that's cool. He definitely isn't going to say no. Go set that up.]

[Once the meeting starts and after Scott gives a relatively decent speech about welcoming new people to TWAT Club and to have fun, people are more than welcome to dig into the spread laid out on the tables. There's the usual fanfare like chips and dip, cookies, and pizza, but there's also fruit sandwiches that Scott and Kotone made together. There's a vegetable plate as well, but with an added note that says 'for you healthy nerds,' although that note mysteriously disappears after a while (with Kotone shoving a carrot stick in Scott's mouth).

Since this is a place filled with teenagers and abilities... Scott probably has encouraged people to show off their powers a little. JUST DON'T BLOW SOMETHING UP it's okay, he's talking about himself too. Of course, he's not forcing anyone to show off their powers and everything, but he sort of hopes people are feeling more comfortable to do so. That is the purpose of his club and everything, along with an underlying encouragement to help others with their powers if applicable.

There's also music being played! Thanks to Kotone's MP3 player, a mix of electronica and J-Pop from the mid-to-late 2000s is playing from a stereo, so hopefully that's your jam. It will be your jam, because those are the only songs playing. You're welcome to dance as well, Scott definitely is... in his own way:

[Feel like being a nice person and want to help clean up? Nice. Scott isn't forcing anyone to stay after, but he appreciates the assistance (and maybe even expects it at this point). It's mostly just taking tables down and clearing out the trash. Anyone that stays can probably take home some of the leftovers. So, that's a nice bonus.

Or maybe you just want to sit on the ground and enjoy the evening a little. He's not judging. There's a nice little sunset settling in and you have the rooftop to enjoy it. Grab one of your new found friends and watch it together.]

[he has not actually seen much weirder than that, but he wouldn't want her to think he's impressed or anything.]

When people transform, a lot of them take animal traits. Most of them, even.

Not really. It's like... It's just you. That body and this body are both me. So I can be either. But that's not it either....

[She frowns. She's trying to explain, but she's clearly having some difficulty putting it into words.]

I guess it's the Goddess's power, but it's also not...?

[he sounds mildly exasperated.]

That's not it, though. I know, I've just... Pretty much everyone I've spoken to in the last few years could also transform, so I've never had to explain it.

If it's a fundamental system in your world, shouldn't you be able to talk about it a little?

It's not like your chakrams, anyway. It's something hidden. Most people probably don't know about it, or at most just know that monsters are out there. I only know as much as I do because I was one of the Goddess' enforcers.

... She shows up to people who are at their lowest. The people who have lost all hope, the ones who can't feel anything but despair. And to those people, she tells them to make a wish.

When they make a wish on the seed she gives them... It transforms them, and gives them the power to fulfill that wish. But it usually... well.

You can imagine how that goes, right? People at their lowest and worst, who suddenly get incredible power.

Bad guys everywhere?

[he guesses, blandly. some goddess, if it really is one, giving crazy power to only the most desperate people.]

... There's five people, counting myself, who were strong enough to control the power we were given.

So instead of getting your wish you got a boatload of responsibility.

[yeah, he can see where this is going. only those with the power can fight back against the power, etc.]

[She stretches her arms a bit, thinking.]

I guess now I got that. I was on her side at first. Destroying the monsters who weren't useful to her anymore. My wish was beyond her power, so I tried to help her get more power.

... But now I'm fighting against her instead. To grant my wish myself.

How exactly do you fight against a god?

Beat up enough of her monster for the other enforcers to step in, beat up her enforcers so she has to step in, beat her up.

[She says it like it's that simple.

... But her ears flick slightly. There's uncertainty in her words.]

But is a god really a tangible thing you can "beat up"?

Why not? I met her.

But couldn't she have been projecting herself into your mind or something? Did you touch her?

Well... If that's the case, that touch could have just been a projection, too. If I assume she's untouchable, then there's no point in doing anything.

I guess she could actually be a super powerful demon or something...
