Who: Everyone out there!
Where: Outskirts of the Aldrip - Training Grounds
What: It's time for the Boot(y) Camp! The Chosen of Aldrip have all been invited to train, learn and spar!
Warnings: Other than the general violence? TBA..!



It is early morning on the 9th of September. The sun is shining, the air is fresh and nicely brisk, which means that it is just perfect time for Aldrip's first ever group training! How did you find your way there? Who knows! Maybe you were one of the people who saw the original announcement on the network, or noticed posters about it around Adlrip. Or maybe you were brought here by friendly white boar. Well, whatever the reason is what matters is that you are here. Welcome.

The empty field near the outskirts of the City has been transformed into a makeshift training camp. There are couple of tents set up around the camp. Some of them work as rather simplified armories containing pretty limited amount of blades, axes, armors, firearms, bows and arrows and what have you. Feel free to pick your poison, so to speak, but be sure to return what you borrow. Richard is keeping an eye on the weapons and will notice if something goes missing. Of course, characters are more than welcomed to use their own weapons and armors etc. Other tents are for resting, ER practice and dining. The lunch is sponsored by the Sandwich Hut.

The official training areas and their respective teachers/staff are the following:

Spiritual training/magic: Kurama, Douman, Kakashi
First-aid: Ethlyn, Morph, Bones
Rescue training: Morph, Bones
Hand-to-hand combat: Jirk Jim & Spock, Kakashi
Tech support: Jirk Jim & Spock
Fire arms: Caitlyn, Levi
Swords & Melee: Richard, Hiei
Archery: Richard
Survival skills: Richard, Kurama
Military training: Jim & Spock, Miller, Richard
Endurance training: Bones
Lunch: Junpei (and Whitey the Albino Boar)

If there is an activity a character would like to do that isn't included in the list that's no problem. Feel free to create your own top-level with said activity or you know! Just the usual stuff that varies from silly hang-out to whatever your heart desires.

[The whole 'spiritual training and magic' thing caught his eye more than anything else - Katsuki is good at hand-to-hand combat, using weapons, using his Quirk, survival, rescue, all of that, but he's never run into anything spiritual or magic that wasn't explained by someone's very normal biological Quirk. Frankly, he's a little skeptical about there being such a thing as 'spiritual' or 'magic' powers. To him, it just sounds like someone who (justified enough) doesn't want to explain their Quirk.

The guy...kid?...running this particular area of the training ground seems to not be showing off whatever he can do though, and Katsuki finds himself pretty curious. So when the kid comes over and looks at him and asks what he can do, Katsuki grins at him a little wickedly.]

My Quirk is that my sweat is explosive. What about you?

[While he explains his Quirk, he lifts a hand, engaging the ability to make little explosions over his hand that resemble tiny fireworks, though not nearly as pretty.]

[kakashi raises an eyebrow. that seems both interesting and probably inconvenient in some ways?? no, surely this guy can choose when his sweat explodes, otherwise he'd be a walking firework.]

Demolitions expert, got it.

[he spares a fleeting thought for obito before ruthlessly stuffing it down into the "things we don't think about" corner of his brain.]

I have a variety of skills. [and that's apparently all he's going to say about it at the moment.] So how does your...quirk...work? Can you throw your sweat and detonate it remotely?

[Katsuki repeats it deadpan, not entirely impressed by that. Crossing his arms, he shifts his weight from foot to foot, red eyes locked on the younger boy. The corner of his mouth quirks up a little when he calls Katsuki 'demolitions expert' because it sounds like a pretty good title for someone like Katsuki.

When he's asked more questions, Katsuki eagerly replies, ready to talk about his Quirk even if it'd probably be smarter to keep it on the downlow.]

Yeah, I can do that. Been practicing with that kind of attack lately. Usually I just blow up the sweat in my hands. I do a lot of close-quarters, but I can shoot pretty far.

[A shrug, and he looks around, still curious if anyone is going to show off this 'spiritual magic' he's been promised.]

Interesting. I wonder if a little wind jutsu would send it flying farther. Or maybe a water jutsu to increase the size of the spitball? But then it might dilute whatever quality makes it explosive in the first place...

[kakashi ponders out loud, unbothered by katsuki's apparent disinterest in him. part of why he's here is to teach elemental synergy, after all.]

Wind jutsu? Water jutsu? You have some kinda elemental Quirk or something?

[A brow raises - that sounds super useful, if he has control over all the elements? More useful than Todoroki, depending how strong the Quirk is. After all, Todoroki's is pretty powerful, so he's not a write-off in this guy's favor yet.]

I'm used to working with a guy who has fire and ice, but we mostly just cooperate, our Quirks don't interact much.

[He sounds serious and maybe a little sullen as he speaks, but he's obviously interested, judging by how he leans in a little as he's talking to the boy. Talking shop has always been the easiest way for him to communicate clearly.]

Dunno if water would make it weaker or more powerful. Never tried it. The wind might be useful though, long as it doesn't dry it out, but I've definitely remotely activated it like that before.

I don't know what a quirk is. I channel chakra to produce elemental effects.

We can test it out if you want. That's what I'm here for, finding ways for those of us with "magic" to work together.

A Quirk is a superhuman ability you're born with. They're inheritable, you'll have one similar to your parents, and 80% of the population where I come from has them.

[It's a quick, smart explanation, because he's had to answer this question a few times before.]

And sure. Let's test it out. I wanna see what you can do.

[Grinning, he pounds one fist into the palm of the other hand, feeling the sweat building up on his palms already, in anticipation. It may not be a spar, which is what he's really in the mood for, especially if the spar isn't with Todoroki or Izuku again, but it's something, and he's excited to train.]

[kakashi nods along, taking in the information. concise, just how he likes it.]

Everyone where I'm from has access to chakra. But not everyone learns to use it.

[but, on to the fun stuff! kakashi gestures to a point in the field where no one is currently standing.]

Okay! First, let's test wind! Ready when you are!

Chakra? What the hell is that?

[Crossing his arms, he looks over the younger boy, lips pursed as he tries to follow what he's explaining. It's obvious that it's some kind of energy or something that he's channeling, but it doesn't make much sense beyond that. Knowing how chakra becomes elemental effects would require knowing what chakra is.

But the boy can answer later, because he's suggesting a demonstration and Katsuki is ready, willing, and able to see that. Rubbing his hands together, he can feel the slickness of sweat starting to form between them - he'd worn a sweater on a warm day for a reason, coming to this thing.

Licking his lips, he gives his hands another rub, and then flings his hands out in front of him, yelling at the same time.]

[kakashi would be happy to explain himself, but it seems that they're getting into the action! he flashes quickly through a series of hand signs, then leans forward and blows out a huge gust of wind! the grass flattens underneath it, a sign of how gusty it was.

now for the true test...will the sweat be evaporated or will it detonate further downfield?]

[Katsuki's attention is only half on his sweat when the other boy does whatever it is he's doing - some kind of sign language or something, it looks like, and then there's a gust of wind. It's...cool. He's never seen something like that in a Quirk, not with the weird hand signs. Blowing out a gust of air, sure, but nothing like that.

A moment later, it connects that it's his turn, and he focuses back on his sweat, willing it to explode if it's still there - and it does. The explosions aren't as intense as he'd been aiming for, just little fireworks and not the show-off-but-don't-wreck-anything explosions he'd been planning on, but it works.

Pumping his fist, he smirks at the other boy.]

Works. Just gotta send extra or it gets weak, apparently.

Not bad, if you can send enough to make the explosion worth happening.

[kakashi nods, pleased but in a more reserved way.]
