[Scott doesn't seem all too convinced with what she's saying. He wants to believe her, but it's clear to him that if she's pushed, she wouldn't hesitate to retaliate against humans-- even if innocents are involved. Not that he thinks they should just lie on the ground and take whatever bullshit is sent towards them, but there must be some sort of middle ground. Destroy the Sentinels, kick the asses of whoever made them, but leave all innocent people alone. Something like that.

It's funny how for months, he wanted other mutants to be here with him. People that he can relate to. Guess he got his wish, but it's far more complicated than he wanted it to be. He's not sure what he expected, that the other mutants would be easygoing and just want to hang out with him and his friends? ...Yeah, kind of. However, it's clear that in other universes, things are harder for mutants, and that point only feels reinforced when Rogue mentions the fact that Sentinels are still being built and they have collars.

He grips his arm with his hand, trying to just deal with his conflicting emotions. There's a lot he wants to say, but at the same time, he doesn't know if he should say it. Or what parts to leave out.]

If there's someone here that starts mistreating mutants, I want to know too. Because I'll stop them... and my friends would help us. [...] Kotone risked her life to protect me from Sentinels here.

[ a human protecting a mutant. not that she thinks that's impossible, of course. there are a few humans back home that were pro-mutants, and wanting the peace between them. but ratio of them were rather small, and there's more dislike for them than anything. anyhow, rogue smiles warmly to him while drumming her fingertips idly against her knuckles; still clasped together. ]

That's mighty brave of her. I'm really happy to hear you have so many people here who loves you. You deserve it, ya know. You got a good, kind heart.

[Scott listens to her kind words, something almost softening in the mutant's expression as they settle in his mind. It's a little cheesy, but after last month, after all the terrible things that happened, Scott doesn't mind. It's nice, honestly, to be reminded of the friends that still care about him. She's right about that, so... so many people checked on him. His eyes close behind his shades for a moment, mostly to push back the tears that threaten to spill. Not now, Summers.

He releases his arm, his posture almost straightening, with something a little more determined in his demeanor as he takes in a deep breath before releasing it.]

It's not just me, Rogue. If something tried to hurt you, Morph, or Kurt, my friends would step up to protect them. I know they will. [........] You're not alone either. Trust them like I do.

[ a small curl twists more on the corner of her lips, but she slowly shakes her head in slight disagreement.]

I know I've said that your friends are my friends, and I do mean that. But your friends don't know me at all, Sugah. Besides, I'm an adult, and adults are meant to look after the youngins, not the other way around. — We're supposed to have everythin' figured out and give ya'll all the answers.

[He'd argue that his friends not really knowing her at all wouldn't stop them, but he focuses on the other stuff that she's said. Adults knowing everything, right. He didn't believe that before he got here and honestly his mind hasn't changed since arriving in Aldrip. So, Scott continues to maintain that more resolved demeanor, something about him unwavering.]

Yeah, well it's obvious that you don't have everything figured out. You don't have all the answers. [Not when she believed-- still believes that it's okay to side with Magneto and for a bunch of innocent humans to get caught in that crossfire.]

Besides, you just mentioned that we're family. They make sure that they keep each other out of crap.
