The Last Drop Grand Opening

What: The grand opening of the night club / bar

The Last Drop opens big and loud with neon lights and music that booms from within to be heard from the streets. There are two large bouncers at the door, but they were allowing people in very freely on this night until the room was at capacity then there would be a line. The bouncers only stop those who are already three-sheets to the wind and could cause trouble, but otherwise, they are there to break up trouble as the night wears on.

Inside, there was smoke machines, flashing lights, loud music and the drinks were flowing to anyone that wanted. There was plenty of dancing, some dart boards along the walls, a jukebox, tables and booths for patrons to have drinks and discuss business.

There are stairs that lead up to a second floor to one side of the bar, lights on the stairs. There were people lounging on the stairs and it seemed to be ‘employees only’. Patrons were allowed the lounge there as well if they were tired of dancing or the tables or booths were occupied.

[At present, there was no one to hand off the flowers given how busy the serving staff and bartenders were with their regular jobs. That forced him to keep holding the bouquet, which had to look odd in his arms. Yellow was not a colour he surrounded himself with, too showy and bright. Vash was such an oddity.]

I wouldn't dream of it, no. You seem as persistent as cave lice. [Which was saying something.

He glanced over at people nearby having a great time. Almost too great, but he'd let it slide. People would need to learn to hold their liquor at some point.]

So far, yes. We'll see how business is in a month. One never knows what this place is going to throw at us.

I'll take that as a compliment. [ undeterred by the dry tone of the other's voice comparing him to some (undoubtedly gross) insect, vash doesn't seem to mind - in fact, he seems a little more cheerful tonight than he had been before, though the brightness of his smile might be with a bit more insistence than what is usual for him ... don't point it out, okay? ]

You can't be saying things like that from day one! Besides, you're the type to plan ahead for that sort of possibilities ...

[It was odd. Silco didn't allow his discomfort to show, unwilling to show that kind of weakness. So he held the flowers and wished they were in a vase somewhere on the bar.]

Of course you would. You aren't the sort to be offended easily. Turn the other cheek sort, you are. [That's what he had decided about his numerous meetings with Vash as he tried to dissect the younger man's personality traits.]

Of course. Planning ahead is all we have control over. [He was again reminded that Vash was far more insightful than most when it came to his own mannerisms. That made the younger man dangerous as far as he was concerned, passive friendly attitude or no.]

[ despite the joke, it really doesn't seem like there's much to get vash really, actually annoyed - his demeanour seems open and cheerful no matter what gets thrown at him. which is probably what aroused silco's suspicions in the first place ... ]
