The Last Drop Grand Opening
Who: Whoever would like to attend the grand opening mingle at the Last Drop
Where: Entertainment District – The Last Drop
What: The grand opening of the night club / bar
Warnings: Alcohol and low-level drugs

The Last Drop opens big and loud with neon lights and music that booms from within to be heard from the streets. There are two large bouncers at the door, but they were allowing people in very freely on this night until the room was at capacity then there would be a line. The bouncers only stop those who are already three-sheets to the wind and could cause trouble, but otherwise, they are there to break up trouble as the night wears on.
Inside, there was smoke machines, flashing lights, loud music and the drinks were flowing to anyone that wanted. There was plenty of dancing, some dart boards along the walls, a jukebox, tables and booths for patrons to have drinks and discuss business.
There are stairs that lead up to a second floor to one side of the bar, lights on the stairs. There were people lounging on the stairs and it seemed to be ‘employees only’. Patrons were allowed the lounge there as well if they were tired of dancing or the tables or booths were occupied.

[ she says casually, and pops a squat on the available stool next to him. setting her food on the counter (which probably isn't sanitary at all), jinx leans forward to reach behind the bar — making silly sounds as she stretches around for something. this girl really is just doing whatever she wants without a fear of getting scold or caught.
and what makes it more bizarre is the bartender who just handed jim a drink isn't halting her actions one bit. after foraging around, she leans back down to her seat and pulls out a very flimsy menu. ]
Ah, here we go! — Lemme see...
[ she reads over the card, then smiles warmly, and chuckles to herself as nostalgia swirls within her heart. ]
Boy, these selections take me back. I dunno if we can ever make these again...
[ jinx skates the paper for jim to see for himself, the menu's appearance looking extremely worn and faded, but still readable. majority of the items are seafood related entrées, a lot of eel, squid, octopus, etc. ]

Jim leans over to read it, cocking his head to the side at the pictures and text enumerating all the offerings the place used to (?) have. He does recall the proprietor telling him that the bar had been brought from his world, that Aldrip had an interesting quirk whereby things could simply appear if one asked for them plainly enough; but having the evidence firsthand is certainly intriguing. ]
Why not? The fish market by the docks is picking up business.
[ Now that the citizens of Aldrip had figured out how to build boats, more and more offerings had been appearing in the stalls by the docks each day; Jim usually passed by them on his morning run. He swirls his drink again, gaze flickering back up to Jinx, silently assessing. ] Which one is your favorite?

[ — and not the same love, but of course, she keeps that additional part underneath her tongue. when he asks for her favorite, jinx wastes no time to point at an entrée with her index, showing it to him as well so he can read along. the girl recites: ]
"Butterfly shrimp with peas and potato with rice."
[ she flashes him a wide smile that spreading from ear to ear. ]
It sounds plain and nothing, but the meal is a lot and it comes in a big bowl!

Jim nods thoughtfully when Jinx points out her favorite dish, the hard plastic of the laminated sheet wobbling a little in her grasp. The picture definitely does look like an enormous bowl of food, and Jim sips his drink, one shoulder slumping down in acknowledgement. ] Careful, you're liable to make me hungry. It looks incredible.

[ weird or not, jinx is used to sharing food with other orphans back home, especially if they had to be way younger than her. jinx always had some sort of soft spot for the tinier kids, even if sometimes they get a little bratty. ]
How about it, kid? Huh? Huh?
[ is she calling an older person a kid? of course. ]

Can I get you anything? [ Jim pulls another couple of Aldrip's strange coins from his pocket, laying them on the bartop as an offering. ]
