The Last Drop Grand Opening
Who: Whoever would like to attend the grand opening mingle at the Last Drop
Where: Entertainment District – The Last Drop
What: The grand opening of the night club / bar
Warnings: Alcohol and low-level drugs

The Last Drop opens big and loud with neon lights and music that booms from within to be heard from the streets. There are two large bouncers at the door, but they were allowing people in very freely on this night until the room was at capacity then there would be a line. The bouncers only stop those who are already three-sheets to the wind and could cause trouble, but otherwise, they are there to break up trouble as the night wears on.
Inside, there was smoke machines, flashing lights, loud music and the drinks were flowing to anyone that wanted. There was plenty of dancing, some dart boards along the walls, a jukebox, tables and booths for patrons to have drinks and discuss business.
There are stairs that lead up to a second floor to one side of the bar, lights on the stairs. There were people lounging on the stairs and it seemed to be ‘employees only’. Patrons were allowed the lounge there as well if they were tired of dancing or the tables or booths were occupied.

1. every 1's a winner
2. dance party
3. closing time
3.
He spotted a younger man lounging in one of the booths and approached. Alcohol affected but not someone he was particularly concerned about.]
Which guys would that be? Do you have someone to assist you home?
[It was bad for business if the patrons couldn't make it somewhere to sleep safely.]
no subject
Uhh... [ He takes a moment. What was the question? ] My friends. From back home.
[ He closes his eyes, taking a deep breath. He's not going to cry, though he does sound a bit choked up. ]
I miss my friends... they always took me home when I got drunk.
[ Pathetic. He is pathetic. This is why he should never drink alone. ]
no subject
Ah, I see. You are alone and don't have the familiarity of those you knew where you came from.
[This was definitely why a man like this shouldn't drink alone. Under normal circumstances, Silco would just arrange to have the stranglers thrown out, but this was a different game than Zaun. He did not have the same power to risk making enemies of randoms too quickly.]
Do you require escort home now? I can have that arranged for you.
no subject
Yeah. That.
[ Peter worries his lip and pulls himself up off the table, groaning at the change in orientation. His head was perfectly happy against the cool, horizontal structure of the table. Now he's sitting up. Vertically. It sucks. But conversations don't tend to happen when one guy is face-down on a table. ]
You'd do that for me, man?
no subject
Of course. You've made the effort to be a patron to my establishment, and I have no issue arranging to see you home safely. Where are you currently living?
[This one didn't seem drunk enough to not know where they were sleeping at least.]
no subject
Oh.
[ He does need a moment to decipher Silco's words, because he's very well-spoken and Peter is presently running a little slow. ]
Uhhh, the apartments? [ No particular address? ] I usually just, uh, mark it on my HUD.
[ He flips a hand towards his face and a glass visor encases all of it, red-pink "eyes" flickering vibrantly. Actually, it makes everything in Peter's vision take on a pink hue which... He flicks it back off, the visor disappearing once again. ]
Whoa, okay, bad idea. That was bright.
no subject
Indeed, it was. Did you find the information that you were looking for in that light?
[He could pepper with questions after he had information, but he didn't want the distraction in case this one might pass out at some point. Likely not drunk enough for that.]
no subject
Yeah, it's, uh. Second floor. Room 21.
[ He blinks a few more times, bringing a hand up to stroke his temples. He couldn't just write it down, could he? Had to store it in his HUD... ]
Boy, I am not gonna forget that again.
no subject
That device you are using is not a technology I recognize. Is it from where you come from, or did our keepers grant it to you?
[He folded his hands behind his back, clasping one wrist in the hand of the other as he observed the sad drunk man.]
I've made mental note on your behalf as well.
no subject
[ Peter grins, innocent the way only a drunk man can be. You know what, both of those options would be totally valid and Peter should know better than to offer his home address but his home address is normally a spaceship, so these are just things he'll have to get used to! ]
Oh, yeah, this? [ He moves to tap the side of his head, but stops at the last moment. Right, let's not repeat that mistake. ] Yuup, this is from home! Stole it off some slavers, then my buddy Rocket modded it for me so it'd run on the same power as my blasters.
[ He pauses. It's a dramatic pause. ]
...It makes everything really pink.
(no subject)
2
N-no, it's okay. It was probably my fault.
no subject
No worries, dude! You alright?
no subject
no subject
[ Peter, meanwhile, looks to be completely in his element. ]
How come you're here if this isn't your scene?
no subject
I, um, I know the owner. I-I thought it'd be good to show up at least for the opening.
no subject
[ Peter's only talked to him a few times, but you know, he gives people the benefit of the doubt. ]
Takes a tough guy to run a place like this, and he seems pretty tough.
no subject
[Not the sort of person Levi'd normally call 'cool' but he was impressive at least.]
He's helped me out before and even gave me a job.
I think the world he's from is pretty tough, but I don't know much about it.
[Or Silco's past. He hasn't bothered to ask, but given some of the other people from that world it didn't seem to the nicest place.]

not that vash is holding that against him, though. the guy is probably lonely, right? and it's not like he's here with someone, or chatting with another person. he could probably (maybe) help?
which is why vash scooches over to the stool beside peter, before waving a hand to catch his attention: ] Hi! What are you drinking? That looks nice!
no subject
Oh, actually, isn't this the guy from those dating profiles? Nice. ]
Oh, hey, dude! [ He smiles wide, turning toward Vash like they are good friends. ] This? I think it's whatever's on tap. But you should totally have some, it's good!
no subject
[ okay, there we go! if it's at all possible, the friendly smile on his face brightens up a notch further. better put on some sunglasses if you have any! he is also going to scooch on another stool closer so that they are shoulder to shoulder. ] Wow, it's so nice to meet you in person!!
If it's that good, I'll try one out too!
sorry this is so late orz
[ See, those dating profiles were good for something after all! Peter really sees no problem here. He's just very easily distracted. ]
Same here, man! [ He'll hold out his hand to shake. ] How've you been? This place is pretty sweet, huh?
Bold of you to assume I am also not slow af <3
vash laughs easily as he takes the offered hand and gives it a vigorous, enthusiastic shake in his. ] It's pretty nice! This place is changed so much the past few weeks, I feel like I can't keep up!
handshake.emoji
Oh, yeah, the owner built it up or something, right?
[ Did he? Could be he's just guessing. He does that a lot. ]
Pretty rad that this place is here, though. Seedy bars like this take me back.
no subject
[ speaking of seedy bars, peter isn't the only one who's been to plenty of those! vash isn't just being nice by saying it ... honestly, it could be worse. ]
Let's see how long it'll take before the floor gets all sticky though, hahaha...
