[ Manjiro does have a point. Summoning quickly became second nature to Minato, to the point he'd forgotten to warn Sha-Ming about how he used his Evoker before calling upon a Persona. ]
I don't know how others like Yu and Akira gained their Personas, but I noticed we summon them in different ways.
[ Yu's manifested through a card. Akira looked like he was ripping a mask off his face. And then there's him and Kotone, forced to perform an action that mimicked death.
He shrugs. ]
...maybe that has something to do with it.

(that clears it, yeah. he doesn't really get it, but here he is. surrounded by persona users.)
I noticed that, too. Do you guys have at least someone you could have asked these things?
no subject
We did, but he...
[ That man had played them all for fools. ]
...we were wrong to trust him.
[ On the other hand, Minato realizes it was on him for not asking anything when offered a spot in the group. ]
I guess I didn't care enough to ask.
[ He didn't care about much back then, really. ]

(poor minato. he knows that he is a lot - manjiro, that is.)

...It doesn't matter anymore.
[ It doesn't matter anymore: how Personas came to be, why it is that a handful of people from his world were able to harness their power. That information is no longer helpful. ]
no subject
(but he's not talking about the personas, naturally. he's talking about proactivity.)
Yo, do me a favor.

No time to stew in thoughts though, not when Manjiro's about to ask something of him. Minato looks back at Manjiro, expectantly. ]
A favor?

(more like - bad for covering murder. he definitely has taken beatings in his life, several. the tin says invincible, not untouchable!!
that part he doesn't mind. it's the coincidence that bothers.)
no subject
Okay. I won't.
...is it because you don't want the others to worry?
[ Like Yu and Kotone, for one. ]
no subject
(it's not entirely a lie. it's not that surprising to know he was fighting around, but still, it's not something he just wants to put out there when he's already fucked in the head.
it'd make it worse.)
Thanks, Minatan.

Mhm. No problem.
[ Consider his lips sealed. ]
no subject
(not made by him.)

[ He's gotta finish up with making sure the hot springs are spotless. ]
...be careful? Don't get into another fight on your way home.
no subject
(but he's smiling. it doesn't particularly reach his eyes, it's just a worry soother. he always does that when he's emotionally suffering.
he's fine.)
no subject
The lack of light in Manjiro's eyes doesn't go unnoticed. ...something's up, but. He wants to trust Manjiro and leave it in his hands. Manjiro deserves at least that much from him. ]
You don't need to promise.
[ And as others have told Minato before: ]
As long as you try. That's good enough for me.

the boy in front of him one of them. he'll stand to get to his bike, but once he comes near enough, his eyes look up to meet minato's for a second.)
I'm going to miss you.
(and that's all he will say before he hops onto the bike. goodbye, minato.)
