Who: The Sentenced & Their Enforcers Where: Aldrip Training Grounds What: Group sentencing activity that requires cooperation! It's time for some restoration work after a tragic fire to this location that remains a pillar of community togetherness.
[Not him and Fauna trying to rub their two brain cells together.
But Scott folds his arms across his chest, clearly conflicted. Making sense of Jerry's motives feels important, but it all feels like pure conjecture at this point. Just theorizing. Maybe they'll be able to pull something out from him if they complete this 'task.' Ugh.]
...As much as it sucks, I think it would be best if we just completed this. [...] He'll owe us. Could get something out from him in the future.
Being sentenced for bullshit crimes is pretty common, Fauna. The only difference between the past and now is that Jerry is forcing us to be here for whatever reason. It's new and I don't get what he's trying to do, but it's something that I want to look deeper in.
[Somehow. It feels significant now with how many of them have disappeared lately. Maybe a small part of him is on edge for that. Is it a good or bad thing there's less of them?
The work needs to be done though and it wouldn't be fair if only half the people participated in fixing this. We need to try and not just give up.
[He really wants the training grounds to be repaired at any rate... it just would be a lot better if everyone could pitch in, but that's not the case this time. Whatever rules Jerry set up, he wants to see it to the end and just find out why.]
[Scott can't lie, he honestly doesn't blame anyone for making that face at Silco. He's a giant asshole even on the best of days; he had a great reminder of that not too long ago over the tablets.
Still, he sighs, arms folding across his chest as he tries to find some sort of balance in all this. Why? Well, mostly to help him deal with it too.]
No, but that part isn't anything new, Fauna. Most of us probably shouldn't be in Aldrip in the first place. We can't change who's been sentenced, we can only work with what we have now.
[That guy? Oh, Silco? That's what he's assuming anyway since she's still making a face towards his direction. And well, that's honestly a good question. Simple offering of snacks won't work. Maybe mention that he'd most likely face something worse if he doesn't do this? Or.]
Whoever draws the short stick deals with him. [Is he serious--] He talked to me before about banding together against our 'overlords.' He's not really contributing to that if he's just going to stand off to the side and scowl.
[Oh, huh. Guess he's sort of forgotten that not all of his friends actually know each other. Also, Jinx is someone that's pretty hard to miss... but he shrugs, before pointing over to the girl with the long braids. Sometimes you just never cross paths with someone until much later on.]
That's Jinx. [...] Kind of nuts, usually trying to do better, but still obsessed with explosions. But mostly, she's the daughter of the wannabe Blofeld that you've been glaring at.

[She shakes her head.]
I don't like this. I feel like we're cops here. Just... punishing people for whatever. This isn't right.

Maybe Jerry would answer some of that.]
We'll make it up to the others later, alright?

[She grumbles. A slightly too-rigid form of 'justice'... That's always been her problem, hasn't it?]
... But what do we do about that guy?

[.......] Jinx is important to him.
[Just putting that out there.]

[Silco, yeah.]

Does she need help getting away from him? I'll kick his ass if we have to to keep her safe.
