[it's all so very strange, how the world appeared so grim to her just moments ago, but now the grass has never been greener. the sun is shining so gaily against her pale complexion, with the vibrant colors of aldrip blooming right before her eyes. the roars she's hearing from a distance is a little... off-putting, but maybe those are the sounds of the hungry baby birds in the trees.

still, the city has never looked so beautiful and alive, and jinx can't help herself but to smile along with its charm. how can she not when it's just so damn contagious? she twirls and skips as she soaks in her ambience — even though her side is screeching for her attention. there is blood there, yes, she noticed it beforehand, but she is no in danger. everything with ragna, the beast, the monsters, those were all fiction. in fact, did isha even die in the first place? did vander? was there even a such thing as the Herald? now that she has a few seconds to think these over, it all sounds rather silly. but this here? ... this is the true reality, there's no doubt about it. especially when she spots her parents manifesting a mile ahead of her.]

Dad, Mama, wait up!!

[she calls out with a laugh as she pushes off into a full sprint to catch up to them. it's... weird how she doesn't seem to be getting any closer despite her putting all of her strength into her legs, but jinx feels she will definitely meet with them in the end. she knows it. and the bluenette is so infatuated with reaching her parents that she seems blissfully unaware that she cut someone off as she races by. there's a bizarre tickle at the side of her temple when she breezes through, as if... that person who was on the other side was her sister, violet. — no, no, there's no time to stop and look back to see if it was her or not. she has to unite with her parents because they're glancing over to her now, waving their arms to follow her in this magnificent building. this must be their new home. how beautiful! maybe they want to show her — her room, what a surprise, and she can't wait to see it!]

[it's been hard, trying to keep track of everyone in all this chaos. and there's so much chaos going on right now, almost to rival all that shit that went down at home. but she knows that generally this sort of thing is temporary here. beatable. people who die will come back. not that she wanted anyone to die, of course, but it's the smallest consolation that it does happen.

but then a familiar girl with two braids runs past her, and her eyes widen as she sees where exactly she was going. what was she--??

oh God.]

Jinx!!

[she moves as quickly as she can manage, barreling towards her sister and trying to grab her by the middle.]

Don't you fucking dare--!!

[the entire illusion evaporates and fogs away when she feels something grab around her middle, and jinx blinks several times as she thrashes her head back to see her sister. angry and evidently confused, she growls and bites out a remark:]

What are you...? — Get off me! What the hell is wrong with you?! Our parents are waiting for us! For me!

[her little sister wiggles her entire body to get out of her sibling's grasp, grunting and doing her best to pry off her gloved metal fingers.]

UGH! — I really hate your ugly mittens!!
