[It wasn't often Ekko found himself getting nervous but tonight's 'first' date betwixt him and Jinx rendered him a bit worrisome. Afraid to mess things up in a official capacity as they meet up was unlike him, usually calm, cool and collected brimming with confidence but this? Something about this left him weak in the knees as the boy savior cautiously waltzed through the streets to meet up at the specified location provided by his companion.

Considering the significance of the event, Ekko decided to purchase a new outfit for the lavish affair, adorned in a loose fitting black leather jacket and tan pants all topped off with a black cardigan. Rounding the last corner to the appointed spot where she was waiting already waiting for him the leader of the Firelights almost didn't recognize his counterpart with the new hairstyle and familiar attire though never expected his Jinx to be wearing.

Starring like a deer in headlights as he approaches, Ekko clears his throat with a closed fist to his mouth blinking wide eyed in astonishment. Never could he imagine in all his days to see her dressed up like such, a bit nerve wracking leaving the usually poignant Zaunite a bit speechless.]

Wow- Jinx you look...absolutely beautiful. I love what you've done with your hair it suits you.

[Closing whatever distance was left between them, a hand moves to cup her own holding her gaze in an intimate fashion, sincere smile stained over his lips as the tips of his digits graze across the tender flesh of her cheek.]

[ hearing someone clearing their throat startles her, almost enough for her to drop the necklace but thankfully, doesn't. it would be her rotten luck if the pendant plummeted in a grate cover and into the sewers. although, it seems her curse is behaving on that front. the bluenette shoves the jewelry in her purse and scrambles up to her feet, standing straight and stiffly while clutching tight on her purse strap. this is it, the moment of truth. does she look okay? is she... ugly? will he laugh at her? tease her?

the way he gawks at her sends her anxiety in a frenzy, but then it diminishes when he overflows her with compliments. the shimmer in her system sparks, her pinks twinkle with the redness of her cheeks matching. bashfully, jinx averts her gaze and says with a weak giggle. ]

Whaaaaat? This old thing? [ but then, joking aside.] — Actually, this outfit was one of the things that was waiting for me when I got back to Aldrip. Decided to... ya know, try it out. But, uhm. thanks, heh.

[ when his hand entwine with hers as his other brush along her cheek, her heart lodges in her throat. suddenly, all her nerves thaw down to her boots, and she returns the smile — warm and genuine. ]

And... you're not bad yourself. A complete knock-out.

[ shy still, she nips on her bottom lip while lightly swinging their joined hands to and fro. ]

SO!! Dinner and a movie still the plan tonight? Or does the lover boy have something crazy up his sleeves?

[In truth Ekko never thought he would see Jinx all gussied up like this in his lifetime let alone be wearing the same outfit her parallel dimension counterpart dawned on the daily, a perplexing conundrum really but she hadn't the faintest idea why it was left for her. He could fancy a guess their overlords had bestowed it upon her as a ploy to try and mess with his psyche specifically, perhaps testing his resolve that he wished to be with her and not the Powder who assisted in his return to their proper timeline.

It mattered not for the boy savior had made up his mind long ago that she was the one who'd ensnared his heart, flaws and all even if the other version had shown him a different side of her that he’d only dreamt of until then. Despite their adversity they overcame their wavering conviction towards one another and strengthened their resolve, striving to make a better world united together instead of clawing at each other's throats.

An airy burst of laughter erupts deep from within his chest at the proclamation of his own attire chosen for the night's festivities, smirking boldly as he leans forward to place a chaste kiss to the corner of her lips.]

Figured I should finally pick up some new digs…My usual fit might have caught some stray glances.

[Stepping up beside her with a subtle nod of his head, fingers laced firmly in place with their coupled hand as they make ready to depart.]

I might have a surprise tucked up my sleeve but that can wait until after our planned activities. Lead the way, Jinx.

[the kiss and the tighten grip of their hands is driving her heart to just combust and for her faint right there in the spot. but clearly jinx isn't going to actually, it's just the overwhelming excitement of being with someone who she insanely likes, and of them feeling the same in return.

the bluenette didn't expect her silly allegation to be the real deal, and her eyes sparkle with curiosity. just what kind of surprise does he have in store for her? asking him is definitely out of the question, but it's going to kill her not knowing!! curling her other arm around the one her fingers are tied with, she positions her head to his shoulder while pacing them both to the direction of said restaurant.]

Okay, sooooooo. A heads-up, we're going to the Seafood Shack. [why the warning?well... she elaborates, the words slugging through.] — A plaaaaaaace Silco... owns.

[and before she lets ekko breath a syllable, she adds hastily:]

But!! — I didn't tell him exactly when I was going out, and as far as he knows, I'm still working at the café. So, we should be good! He's got other businesses he manages, so there's no way he's gonna be camping out here tonight.
