Well, if you're close to this person I wouldn't say it's all that rude.
[Maybe it'd be unexpected to suddenly show up somewhere matching a friend, but Morph also knows how common friendship necklaces and the like are for the younger crowd. Besides, wasn't wearing the same dress to an event the big one that always started a brawl?]
If it's someone from your home world, it's not like you can ask in the first place. So I say go for it. It's a nice reminder of them, right?
[Morph considers that for a moment, then decides with a smile,]
Then you can keep it safe until you see her again. Just in case it is the same one and isn't a copy. Do you think she'd mind you wearing it in the meantime?
Oh yeah, I know what you mean. Some people are a little too laid back. Or else they don't want to be an inconvenience to anyone.
[But they don't have any close friends that were that way. Even someone who was kind and mothering, like Jean, might end up only a step or two away from ripping someone's head off when they threatened her loved ones. Being a mutant and a superhero just didn't really attract the easy-going ones.]
So you just wanna be careful that she wouldn't secretly be angry about it, if she had any way of knowing?
Something like that... Not even angry, I think she'd just get disappointed. Which is even worse in some ways, you know?
She's definitely the kind who doesn't want to be an inconvenience... Which is so stupid. She's a superhero, you know? She's got the right to take up at least some space on her own, but she just won't.
[Morph doesn't at all mind letting her vent - in fact, it's kind of nice to hear about how superheroes in other worlds handle their personal lives.]
How long has she been a superhero, huh? [That might have a little bit to do with it...] There's nothing that teaches you backbone quite like having to stand up to bad guys all the time. I just hope she's not letting people walk all over her because she thinks it's helpful.
Let's see. If we don't count the time I spent here... Then I think... Maybe less than a year? That's the first time I noticed someone else blew up one of our monsters that wasn't me. I guess... It was around August when I showed up here, and the first time someone else destroyed one of our monsters was... Was that December? It was winter, at least, so then... Or at least it was cold enough to be winter, but...
Then it sounds like she hasn't been in the hero biz for all that long. It can depend on how often she ends up fighting those monsters too, but I wouldn't call that 'seasoned'.
[Flora didn't sound like a beginner either, but that could be harder to judge. Groups like the X-Men did a lot of training before ever stepping foot into their first real fight, but whether individual superheroes did the same varied a lot.]
It could be that she's still getting used to her own power, y'know? Encouraging her confidence is great, but she might also just need more time to bring that confidence into the rest of her life.
Hey, she'll get there, especially if you stick around to be a good influence. It's just not something that you can rush. But she's in the right line of work for building confidence, that's for sure.
Well, sure. You're one of the most confident people I know.
[Maybe Logan would have her beat, but that was a different kind of confidence. Logan moved through the world kind of like a wolf, someone who knew he was the most dangerous person in the room, but at the same time so self-assured that most people would never realize it.]
There's more than one way to be a good influence on someone. I bet that hanging out with you will help her see that it's okay for her to say what she thinks.

[She wraps the pendant cord around her wrist, trying to make it into more of a bracelet.]
It's Flora's. From where I came from. Or it looks just like hers, anyway. I guess- I don't know if it is the same one or not.

[She sighs.]
You know the type, right? The kind who won't say no to anyone for anything.

[sorry morph you've unlocked Feelings O'Clock]

[Sighs.]
... I think she deserves to have some confidence. Even if she hasn't been doing it long, she's stronger than me. In all sorts of ways.

I hope so. I guess I just have to keep showing her, right? Show her that it's better to be yourself.

[Morph responds with a little grin of their own,]
Take it from someone who can be anyone - it's just way more comfortable to be yourself.
