[ There is so much she could say here that Ange's brain needs to take a moment to even settle on anything in particular. ]
No. [ ... ] I think?
[ Morrigan, does Ange look like a mother? Because she definitely looks very much like a teenager, and considering her own awkward experiences with moms, it's not like she knows much better than the other when it comes to this..
So rather than focusing on that too hard-- ]
It's more the fact you were willing to give up a secret at all. Is this pumpkin business really that important?
[Hey, she was around Ange's age when she became a mother so what does she know!! Ange could have a couple kids running around somewhere!!
They have the 'awkward experiences with moms' in common at least, though Morrigan shrugs carelessly at the question]
I haven't found yet. I suppose if the prize doesn't match what I had to give for it, I'll simply get my revenge, one way or another. Perhaps turn him into a toad, or a sheep to eat.
Besides...I don't think it's much of a secret. Not all fears have to be secret, otherwise you give it power of you, and someone else could use it against you. If I'm not bothered, it can't be used.
You would be surprised about how much someone could use that against you. [ Ange points out - a touch dryly, though her voice is mostly starting to go back to its rather emotionless default, giving it mostly an air of nonchalance. Like she's pointing out a totally random fact, and not something with potentially quite some bad consequences. ]
Never give this place that much information against you. It sucks. I bet they're not even going to give you an actually good prize for this entire dumb pumpkin affair. [ Now she's sounding more like a sulking teen.
Or the slightly more emotionless variation of it. She's got the body language though. Hands shoved into her pockets and all. ]
I've seen too much of the world and the cruelties of man to be bothered by what this place could try to throw at me. [Bravado, maybe, but Morrigan sure seems to believe it as she huffs, waving a dismissive hand.
The prizes at the booth are interesting, but not anything Morrigan could really want. She supposes it's more about winning than the actual prize itself. The booth owner might try and swindle her into a lamer prize anyhow, now that she thinks about it.
She looks thoughtful for a moment, humming, before she holds the pumpkin out to Ange]
[ --want a prize, she's about to say, but there's something that she's so unused to when it comes to someone offering her something this easily that she takes the pumpkin all the same. Like she doesn't want to be super rude about it, despite not really knowing the other yet.
A kind of complicated expression appears on Ange's face. ]
Um. Thanks. [ It's said awkwardly. Not because she's reluctant, but more because she doesn't know how to handle someone giving her anything, even if it's just some dumb festival prize.. ] You should be careful though, even if you are used to a lot. Trust me. I've died before, and stuff in this place is way more annoying than that ever was.
[ So even having seen or dealt with a lot doesn't help prepare you for this place - or so the girl apparently sees it, anyway. ]

You collect a prize then.
