[ well, ryuu sure picked a good victim helper to get her down, because if anyone is a sucker for some angry shouty bullying from a stranger, it's vash. ]
Oh, um- Alright! Sorry! [ why are you apologising... ] Hold on!!!
[ he frantically waves the hand clutching the shoe back up at her, and then whips his head around to look for any easy way to get her down without, so to speak, "going splat".
he finds the chain holding up the cage wrapped around a tree trunk nearby, thankfully within reach from the ground. the only catch is, there's no handy lever to slowly lower it down. ]
Okay, I think - I just need you to not move around so much, okay? Just for a little bit!
[ at least he's not being a jerk about it! being really agreeable actually, which makes him immediately better than most of the people she's met. at least for the time being.
for a second, she kinda wondered where the hell he was going, and then suddenly, don't move? ]
What's goin'-- hey, be careful...!
[ ryuu's generally good at keeping her balance, but this is a little much...! still, she's trying to keep as still as she possibly can. ]
[ as though trying to reassure ryuu for her nervousness, vash will flash her an extra-bright smile and even a little cheery wave, before he gets down to the business of getting her down. the chain knotted around the tree seems to be giving a little bit of trouble though with how complicated it's been tied shut ...
hmm. what to do, what to do....
vash frowns slightly as he looks back up, gauging the distance from the ground to where the other is. ]
[ at least this person doesn't seem too freaked out by the idea, which is a plus ... not a lot of people would just agree to it.
vash grins widely for good measure, anyway, just in case she is thinking about changing her mind - and opens out his arms, one bright green and catching the lamplight in metallic gleam. ]
[ because threatening someone who's going to make sure you don't go splat is a good idea. either way, she's getting herself set. he's goofy but it's not like goofy people can't be strong in some way or another.
plus... that weird looking arm, that'll either hurt or keep her from the ground. ugh, she hates this! ]
Alright, I'm goin! [ and she carefully swings a bit to take a leap out of the cage! the angle's awkward, but it should be fine, right?! ]
[ at least the threats don't seem to really have an effect on vash's cheery optimism (for once, as she might find out later, but this is serious business, alright?) and he braces himself, gauging the way she aims to leap out of the cage.
the angle is awkward, the swinging weight of the cage probably counterbalancing oddly, but in the few seconds that she's hanging, suspended, in the air, he manages to take a step sideways and angle his arms so that she, in fact, doesn't hit the ground splatting.
sure, it might hurt a bit, but the big coat he's got on would hopefully soften the impact a little? ]
Good job!! [ vash smiles widely, practically sparkling with it. ] You made it easy for me!

[ what's dangerous is her falling out of the cage and going splat, so she'll take what she's got. even if it means losing a shoe! ]
Get me down from here already!
