(OPEN MINGLE) Ain't no party like an Aldrip party
Who: The Chosen
Where: Aldrip inn
What: Open mingle log (with mod approval)!
Warnings: Nothing major anticipated, other than light (underaged) drinking and comic mischief, but PM me if any warn-worthy things happen and I can update this space.
Feel free to use this log as a completely open mingle for all characters new and old! There will be a few prompts below the cut, but you're free mess around with them or come up with your own ideas for toplevels, and tag around as you please.

Nestled in the heart of the quaint town of Aldrip, the inn, formally known as The Inn, has housed the Chosen of Expiation since their initial arrival. In spite of the occasional influx of new Chosen, they've dedicatedly provided rooms, food and drink, and basic amenities without buckling—even during the food shortages and other issues that have plagued the town. Of course, the Chosen have been no slouches themselves, repaying the hospitality with mercenary work, hunting and fishing, cooking, completing odd jobs, and much more to help bolster the economy. Even those, er, less magnanimous sorts have benefitted from this give-and-take, although there are those that prefer their living space to be a bit more solitary (or perhaps cave-ier) that might not have noticed as much.
In the days to follow, most won't be able to recount exactly how The Party started. The true story is that one particular new arrival, after having spent a day or two scouting the area out and, deciding it's chill enough, opted to do what he does best: be a public menace. What is known is that rounds of drinks start getting ordered and handed out, and soon platters of cheese, fresh bread, and other victuals make the rounds as well, appearing on tables that quickly begin filling with people. Somehow, someway, local musicians are pulled in to play and given a striking, energetic setlist to set the tone. The word gets out—party at the inn!
And boom: just like that, it's a party, and everyone's invited.
Early on, the offerings are relatively meager. The inn's food stores aren't completely bottomless after the shortages, to say the least, and there are a sight more Chosen (and local residents who also join in on the fun) than there is free food to toss at them. The drinks range from milk, water and juice to scuzzy, pisswater beer, which is a bit more plentiful. As the tavern portion of the inn fills with people, the music relatively ambient so that you can still hear the people at the table next to you talking, others bring their own food and drink, adding to the options on offer.
Others bring things like cards to play with, or dice and coins to gamble with, and set up spaces at tables toward the back. There's even an amateur fortune teller, heavy emphasis on amateur. Maybe you've got some party games of your own in mind, or you're a natural-born performer and want to hit the stage. Maybe you'd rather just grab a pint and lurk in the corner doing some people-watching. Or maybe you're just hungry and want to stuff a bunch of cheese in your pockets for later. Either way, there's something here for everyone.
As evening wears on, the peaceful inn party blossoms into a proper block bash. Even if you're not the partygoing sort, it'd be a little difficult to ignore the sheer ruckus going on downstairs while you attempt to read quietly in your room. The music, chatter and laughter carries on down the street, attracting even more people. By this point, it seems as if the food and drinks have multiplied, thanks mostly in part to others showing up with their own offerings, Chosen and local alike. It's getting rowdy in a few places—the music's louder and livelier, people are dancing and singing, and the gambling/party games' stakes seem to just keep climbing higher and higher. It's a good time all around. If you're not the quiet, loner type, anyway.
Thinking of sitting this one out? Think again: somebody starts going around to all the rooms and knocking on the doors, calling out to come join the fun. By the time you get to the door, though, whoever's up here disturbing the peace is gone, but maybe you can track them down by their voice at some point and wring their neck later.
In addition to the escalating merriment, all this imbibing also has the added benefit of loosening a few lips. Now's your chance to pick up the latest Aldrip gossip! You might even hear tell of a few pesky monsters that need slaying, so if you want to jump on that bounty before anyone else gets to it, you better act quickly. (But maybe don't run out into the woods in the middle of the night to fight monsters while inebriated... or do, nobody's stopping you.)
Late into the night, the festivities are still going, and they're... messy. Fortunately the drinks and provisions seem to have run to the bottom of the barrel, so those that've been partying hard for hours are getting cut off whether they like it or not. The band's getting tired, the tempo of the music fluctuating. Some people might like to go to bed sometime soon, so maybe now it's time for the voices of reason to tell those still dancing on top of the tables to get down. And why is there a chicken in here? ...And oh no, somebody tell those guys to take that swordfight outside!! Yeeaaahh, maybe it's about time to shut this production down.
Or maybe not. Let the good times roll until the sun comes up! That's up to you.

Violet/Sumi Yoshizawa | Persona 5 Royal
[Sumi had definitely not been prepared to wander from her room down into a party. She stands there, wide-eyed and baffled. Her hair is down out of its customary ponytail, making her look a bit less open and not at all like her usual bright self. She stares around, opening and closing her mouth a couple of times before she looks to someone near-by]
Did I miss a memo? Who's even invited? [was she invited? Is she intruding?? She takes a step back, brow furrowed in unease.]
B. Just Dance
[Once she's gone back to her room to change and pull her hair up again, she's back at the party. With a deep breath she throws herself into it all, smiling brightly as she watches everyone having fun.
There's nothing like a party to bring people together, she supposes, and with another deep breath she takes it upon herself to help bring people into the fold. After all, if she's being dragged in...]
Hello! Do you want to dance? Let's go, it'll be fun! Just standing around while everyone else dances is embarrassing, right? Come on!
[She might not take no for an answer]
C. A Much-Needed Rest
[Feeling exhausted in the best ways--chest heaving for breath, her limbs burning from moving the whole time, Sumi collapses into a chair.] That was so fun...!
[She laughs and sits up, stifling a yawn as she leans against the table and watches everyone. She keeps eyeing the direction of the food, starving, but not feeling like she has the energy to go up and get anything on her own yet.]
How's the food? [Is it good? She hopes it's good. She's so hungry.] My stomach is going to start eating itself soon, haha.
D. Clean Up
[Despite the fact that Sumi looks about ready to fall asleep on her feet, she shakes her head quickly and stands up straight, grabbing for a broom]
I'll help clean-up! No worries! [She rushes about to help collect plates and empty cups, trying to sweep up the larger messes that she can. Every once in a while though she wavers, leaning against the broom and wiping at her eyes before giving herself a little shake and getting back to it with a look of determination.]
E. Wildcard
[For anything else for the party! Sumi'll be around everywhere she can so have at it!]
D.
Despite appearing completely absorbed in the task, Nanami's remained aware of the others helping clean. Particularly this girl, at first impossible to ignore with all that enthusiasm, then warranting a rough third of his continued attention once she began faltering with the broom.
After bearing silent, peripheral witness to three such instances, at the fourth, Nanami moves.
Taking hold of the broom — just a steadying fist at the very top — he doesn't try to pull it away from her, but it might be difficult to pull it from him. ]
I'll take it from here. You should get to bed before you get in the way.
[ Not by slowing things down. By actually falling over. ]
no subject
I-I wouldn't do that! I don't want to leave it alone when there's still so much to do...
no subject
[ Looking down at her, stilled a moment longer by his hand and the exhaustion palpable on her face, he changes his mind as to approach. Intending neither to give her no choice in the matter nor to intimidate, he already lets go of the broom, taking one step back. ]
— but unless you drank from every cup, ate from every plate, and threw every piece of trash onto the floor, you've already done your fair share.
no subject
While I do appreciate that, I believe we both know that not everyone will take responsibility for their own messes.
But— At least let me help a little bit longer? At least until this part is sweeper up, then I promise I’ll step back!

E bc it's kind of B but not really
Sumire! [And then he kind of wobble-walks up to her, holding both his hands up splayed outward for high-fives.] We gotta dance, I suck at dancing and the punch is super spiked, but you are the Dancing Queen. [Oh God he Talks when he's drunk.]
no subject
Oh— Senpai! [She shakes her head to clear it and smiles, albeit uncertainly as he continues talking] Spiked? Senpai, are you— are you drunk?
[She laughs incredulously, but does reach out to high five both hands at once anyway, holding onto his hands afterward] Are you sure you’re okay to be moving around out there like that?
no subject
[He keeps their hands joined and sways a little, shifting his weight from foot to foot but not seeming entirely off-balance. He's not wearing his glasses.] Nah, 'm okay. Dance with me?
no subject
What was it? Would he actually be in trouble?? She kind of doubts anyone here would really care, but it still makes her a tad worried. She doesn’t want Akira to get in trouble in this world too…
She looks him up and down with a critics eye.] Well, you seem fine… [Definitely doesn’t look like he’s about to go falling down drunk right then.
Sumi gives his hands a tug and takes a step back, smiling warmly. Her face feels a little warm— he’s not wearing his glasses and she’s suddenly very aware of that once she notices—but she’s eager to spend more time with him.]
Alright, let’s go! You have to keep up, okay?

Do you want some water too? You look like you need some.
[it's nice to see everyone have a good time though, especially given the confusion and everything they had to have been feeling after ending up here.]
What do you like? I'll get it for you.
no subject
Some water would be wonderful, thank you! But please, you don’t have to get anything else, I can get it in a few minutes!
no subject
Don't worry about getting formal around me, relax. You've done a lot of dancing.
[she gets up, then shrugs.]
I'm already up, so what would you like?
no subject
Is there something like a stew? I'm not sure what food they've brought out here, but if there's anything filling like that, it'd be nice. [She's a bit worried it'll make her more sleepy, but she'd rather be full right now than not.]

B
Sure, I'd love to! C'mon!
[And without waiting, she takes Violet's hand and tugs her deeper into the crowd of dancers.]
It's good to see you, Violet-san!
no subject
It’s good to see you too! Been having fun so far? It looks like everyone’s here!
[for a given value of what Sumi understands as “everyone” anyhow. She doesn’t actually know the amount of people from different worlds yet. Still! Practically everyone.]
no subject
[Immediately, she's shifting her grip on Sumi's hand and trying to guide her into a little twirl, as if to prove that yes, this is fun. And a little silly, which is the best kind!]
I've never seen everybody together in one place like this... I'd never have thought of a big party without an occasion, but I think we'll have to do this more often. Have you ever been to a party like this before?

b, (cw; underage drinking references)
I just got here.
( This is a. a blatant lie, as she's been standing near the bar for the last fifteen minutes, and b. a terrible excuse anyway. Which Kate does seem to realise at the very least, finally unwinding her arms and shaking her head clear before adding; )
Need a drink first. You coming?
no subject
Sure, I'll go. You can call me Violet, by the way. Have you been in this place long? Um-- This world, I mean.
no subject
( As long as they're doing introductions. She's long past the early days of Jigokucho where there'd be a fake name thrown off the top of her head. There's no indications of factions, having to brace for sabotaging these other people, or anything else that makes it dangerous to be known as herself, as far as Kate can see.
But that doesn't make conversations with her any easier. )
Long enough.
( Which means less than twenty four hours. Kate shifts smoothly from looking at Violet to the bar, to an unattended pint of beer which swiftly gets lifted from the counter as though it was hers all along, a drink immediately swigged with a wince. )
That's grim.
( And then she holds it out; )
Want some?

D - welcome to the drama
So, needlessly to say, Akechi wasn't in the best mood. He's more than ready to return to his room and call it a night. He hoped to be lucky enough forget about the disastrous events of the night(we all know he's not). But then he sees a flash of familiar red moving swiftly from table to table, picking up cups and other trash. For a quick moment he watches her from afar, wondering if this was just a trick of a mind. He had met Akira almost immediately after his arrival, so it's... surprisingly annoying that he sees Yoshizawa only now.
His state isn't really optimal, and he almost follows up with his plan to go upstairs to his room but ends up deciding against it. Taking a deep breath, straightening his back and trying to look as normal as possible (just ignore the red spot on his jaw, plz) he walks up to her.]
I see you're keeping yourself busy, Yoshizawa-san.
boys PLEASE
Mostly, anyhow, except for a very familiar voice.
Sumi yelps as she goes rigid in surprise, the broom slipping from her grasp to clatter to the floor. She whirls about, eyes wide and her mouth turned up in a gleeful, excited smile instantly.]
Akechi-senpai! [She moves towards him like she might be about to hug him, but whatever she was actually going to do is stopped short when she notices the mark on his face. Nope, not gonna ignore that!!]
Oh my gosh, what happened? Do you want to sit down? I can see about bringing you something. They have coffee here, probably, right...? [She gestures at a chair and wrings her hands, looking around. Sure it's like, after midnight or whatever but. Coffee! It's fine.]
no subject
But none of it is actually Yoshizawa's fault, really. The true culprit has already fled to the safety of his room. At least he's trying to remember that.]
No. I'm fine, Yoshizawa-san. Had just a minor setback, that's all. [it's said with a heavy sigh and him shaking his head.] What about you? How long have you been here.
