Who: Ange Ushiromiya and YOU!
Where: All over Aldrip.
What: Ange is dealing with the aftermath of the Gnosia event-- and worse so than she's pretending to be.
Warnings: A chance of talk of mental illness (mostly depression, mixed in with some complex abandonment trauma) and death (in regards to the recent event).

[ It's not like Ange hasn't dealt with anything in this place, really. She's been here for over a year now, and there have been plenty of things before that really shook her to the core - especially that dumb maze from a long while ago now, and everything that had appeared in it. But the most recent event might have been the wildest thing yet. It was very reminiscent of the games back home, which sure didn't help. Even though her family might not have been on the line this time around, watching her friends be on the line was practically just as bad.

And now.. the town is normal again. And they're expected to go on like the usual.

So Ange tries to do just that - even if something threatens to fester below. ]

[ Maybe you're coming across one of the more quiet and empty parts of town, or maybe right outside town, where you may have found someone who set up a little shooting range - even if it's not much more than a single target standing there in an empty field or park.

The sight that might be more surprising - if you recognize the girl - is Ange standing there, holding a bow as she's staring at the target, looking rather focused. It's been a long, long time since she bothered to practice archery before giving up on it, so the sight of her doing it again is certainly new to most people. (And not inspired at all by a specific person being on her mind, what do you mean--) She pulls back the string before releasing the arrow. It flies at the target, and..

.. It only hits one of the outer rings.

The girl mutters something under her breath, her steps more like stomps as she heads over to the target to retrieve the arrow, pulling it out. As she turns around to go back to where she was standing a moment ago to perhaps go for a second attempt, she'll spot you right there. She frowns, speaking up with a: ]

What are you looking at?

[ Is she embarrassed? A little more touchy than the usual, considering she doesn't seem to be wearing her poker face or her usual emotionless tone when she spoke up like that? Who knows. ]

( b. ange comes across you - only for existing cr! )

[ For once, Ange doesn't totally isolate in the face of what happened during the event. It's almost as if she learned something, ssshh.

Which means that at some point during the days right after the town returns back to normal, you may find Ange reaching out to you if she knows you. She'll be at your door if she knows where you live, but if she doesn't, she may have sent you a text to come meet up with her at a cafe in town.

Either way, regardless of whether you're greeting her at your doorstep or in the cafe, the girl scowls and immediately starts with: ]

Everything that happens in this place is such bullshit.

[ Okay, hi, hello to you too, Ange-- ]

[When Yukina wanted to say something, she didn't know what to say. It was such a simple concept and yet, it seemed so difficult to grasp. Being a healer wasn't a bad thing, she had done it plenty of times before.

And yet...]

I know. But it seems like I could do more when it feels like I'm not doing much.

[Because she was someone who supports others at the end of the day.]

[ There's a very slight pause, like Ange is considering everything the other is saying. She honestly doesn't know anything about Yukina. She doesn't even think she has seen the other around all that much - which makes it likely that the other is still relatively new. It'd make sense that she hardly knows anything about the other girl then. ]

.. So what are you doing now then? [ She asks, figuring she might as well get some information on where this complex is coming from.

It seems like a complex, anyway, with the way the other is hammering on about it. ]

Nothing at all?

[ That would explain why Yukina is saying all this a little better, at least.. ]

[There was a moment or two before she said anything too. She liked to think that she was doing something but at the same time...]

By giving them as much encouragement as I can while healing them.

[She said with yet another pause.]

And by providing them with food even though I can't cook much...

[ P-Please, Yukina, are you at least giving people edible food?

Not that Ange is really thinking about that. It's the first part, after all, that gives her what she was looking for. ]

See? That's what I mean. You really think you're doing nothing when you're helping heal people? I'd say that's way more of a rare skill than being able to bash someone's head in with a weapon is. Every random idiot out there could do that.

[ Ethlyn's very small healer division in this place has made it clear to Ange just how rare the power to heal is, even across the multiverse. ]

You really think so?

[Now that wasn't something she was expecting to hear. She assumed that there were so many powerful people, there was no need for a healer. But at the same time, Ange did have a point.]

...I wasn't aware that healing was a rare skill here. Although, I have yet to see another healer here...

It is.

[ Ange simply says, proving Yukina's point. Even though she thought the other surely would have figured out as much from the latter observation. Or maybe she just comes from a world with healers all over the place.

What a lucky world that must be. ]

There's Ethlyn. She's doing the whole healing thing. But she's overworking herself. [ Sorry, Ethlyn.. Ange's got to put you on blast, but she's doing it because she cares! ] She could use help way more than we could use just one more person being able to use weapons, really. There are plenty of the latter here.

I see...

[With that, she gave a pause or two. Looking at the bow in Ange's hand and then her own, it seems that she knew what she had to do.]

...Would she mind if I asked her if she needed some assistance...?

[ Ange shakes her head without hesitance. ]

Not at all. I'm pretty sure she'd be stoked, actually. [ Especially since Yukina also doesn't really seem like an annoying person on top of it.. Which may be something Ethlyn may not necessarily care about in people for all Ange knows, but it's something she cares about! And she'd rather send good people Ethlyn's way than annoying ones. ]

She's one of the nicest people in this place, so you really have nothing to worry about.

Then that's a relief! I was worried that I might be taking over someone's healing abilities when I could do it too!

[She said with a huge smile on her face. Know that she knows someone was willing to help her, she would relax a little.]

Um...is there anyone I should get ready for when I meet her?

It kind of sounds like you're worrying about it again, you know. [ Ange points out. Lightly - almost like she's teasing, though her very flat tone makes it hard to tell that's what she's doing in reaction to Yukina's question at the end there.. ]

Don't think so much about it. Just go see her. If there's anything she requires of you, I'm pretty sure she'll let you know. I don't really have a clue about stuff like that.

[ Mostly because Ange is far, far off from being someone who has healing powers.. ]

I have to be, I want to make a good impression and especially when she's the only healer here!

[Not only that, but this would also be a way for her make some new friends! She didn't want to mess this up!]

[ Ange shrugs a little bit. There's nothing really dismissive in it - just something casual. ]

It's fine. I'm just glad if Ethlyn would get some help. [ N-Not like she cares or anything! That's why she's trying so hard to make her reaction seem relatively casual.. Before she's accused of caring or something like that.. ]

And you don't seem so bad. I trust sending you her way.

[ Rather than forcing poor Ethlyn to deal with someone who's annoying. ]
