I know what he wanted, Pete, but you mistake his intention. If hurting you would have been the most effective route to getting me back, he would have done it without blinking.
That's not Spock, you know that as well as I do. But we weren't ourselves.

My point is, underplaying the danger you were in? Don't do that with her. It won't win you any points. Spock very easily could have hurt you - he *did* hurt you, and it doesn't matter that you healed as quickly as you did.
He could have *killed you*.

Just imagine if things were reversed, and it was Gwen. How would you feel?

[ Ah, the tried and true exercise. It's gotten Spock to concede to Jim's point a few times - and he can't pretend he hasn't been cowed by it himself once or twice before. ]
