Send in the Kurts [Open Catch-All]
Who: (Some version of) Kurt Wagner and you!
Where: Around Aldrip
What: An open catch-all for glitched versions of Kurt
Warnings: None currently, will updated if needed
A. A Young Priest [X-Men Apocalypse]
[Kurt is still the same age, but he's now looking a little different. Dressing with more of an 80s fashion, and instead of fur, he seems to straight-up have blue sin that has some symbols tattooed on here and there. He also generally has a bit more of a timid and nervous disposition, but he gets more caught up in having fun.
One can find him at the local arcade, playing a number of games. Sometimes playing one game with his hands and an adjacent game with his tail! Or he can be unleashing his dancing skills on a DDR-like game!
On top of that, he can generally be found wandering the streets. Sometimes tinkering with the watch-like image inducer that was left behind in the glitching. As he plays around with it, he may suddenly appear more muscular, or with a big head, or change to resemble some random generic person's appearance that was saved to the watch. Regardless, Kurt's delighted because this seems like the coolest thing ever!]
B. And an Old Priest [X-Men '97]
[After another glitch, Kurt is replaced by an adult version of himself. While he might look a little more intimidating, he's quick to greet others warmly!
He can be found teleporting around rooftops to patrol the city, or at the Club Building's gym, where he practices fencing with three swords (the third being held by his tail, of course). But the place he frequents most is the Church of Many Faiths. There, he can be found deep in prayer while holding onto a cross. At other points, he'll try to mingle with other worshipers, regardless of their faith. He might be a devout Catholic, but he respects and his curious about what teachings may be followed by others!]
C. Gone but not Furgotten [Depowered]
[One day, Kurt's back to normal. Except it's a different definition of normal. He's no longer blue and fuzzy... Now he's just a real, actual human being. He looks just like his hologram disguise, and now he's just a normal human teenager.
He really hopes it's temporary, because this has him feeling pretty empty inside. All he can do is try to remain calm and go about his day - he takes a walk around the arcade, stops by the arcade to play games and stuff like that. All the while, he may stumble and be unusually clumsy here and there. After all, it's tough to adjust to balance without a tail, and with his legs and hands being completely different! He may even be seen fascinated while staring at his own hand, watching all five fingers individually wiggle back and forth...!]
D. Wildcard
[Feel free to come up with an alternate prompt or hit me up for plotting! Other glitched variations could be possible on request and dealing with other glitched characters!]

Hn. We'll see. [ Look, Hiei knows a few very capable and amazing, powerful humans. But he isn't about to give Kazuma Kuwabara, or any of them, anything like a compliment. The teen isn't here, but.. who knows who here may get it back to him if he ever does appear here. ]
I was born an A Class demon. But then I had an Jagan implanted, and trained my swordmanship under the doctor who did the surgery. If I hadn't.. the chances of me surviving in the demon woods at D Class were much more slim.
Beyond that, it was simply a matter of training my natural ability. And gaining control of.. things more powerful.
[ The Darkness Flame is ... far away, here. It seems silly to mention something that does not work. ]
no subject
He does listen to Hiei speak with genuine curiosity. He's not about to hate or judge him just for being a demon. The terminology may not familiar, but he thinks he gets the gist of things. It almost sounds more like demons as a type of race or culture rather than the types of demons he'd expect from the Bible.]
It sounds like you've endured a long road. And obtained great power? I hope it serves you well. [And is used righteously.] I have practiced some swordplay myself, but I doubt that it is on your level.
no subject
There is a much longer road ahead if I am… lucky. [ demons lived hundreds, if not thousands of years if they were strong enough and able. Kurama is many centuries old, and Hiei… Hiei has only just begun to entertain that his life may not only be a flash in the pan.
Before, though, there had been goals. Freeing himself from Koenma’s prison sentence, saving Yukina, surviving the Dark Tournament, seeing whatever was ahead with Mukuro. Without a goal … ]
There is only one person I know of here who can match my speed in one way or another. Two, maybe, but… something is different with him since we’ve arrived here.
no subject
I see. It sounds like you must possess a speed that is truly uncanny! [He knows that there are mutants who possess enhanced speed, but he's never met any personally.] It's clear that I would be no match for you in a spar, but I am glad there is at least one other you can practice with. [Then with a note of concern-] Is your other friend alright?
no subject
[ Hiei huffs a chuckle at Kurt’s wish for a truly long road. At times he finds that hopeful, and yet also daunting. He doesn’t know if he wishes to be as long lived as Mukuro, or Kurama or Raizen.
Wouldn’t it all eventually get boring and repetitious?
Time will tell. ]
I don’t know how interesting life can possibly be for a few centuries, much less thousands of years.
[ as much as Hiei would never wish to truly face down Kurama in a fight.. it is truly fun to spar against him. Mainly to see what he comes up with to keep him as bay since the fox knows his fighting style so well.
Yes, it also pisses him off, but he can’t help but be impressed with the spirit fox’s ingenuity. ]
He is weaker than the last time we sparred. By a good stretch, as well.
I don’t know if it’s a difference in time or if something’s happened in Human World since the last time I went there to visit.
no subject
Ah, so you are truly long-lived. I do not know the answers to that myself. All we can really do is make the best of what time we have in the world. As long or short as it may be.
[And he continues to listen curiously as he talks about his companion.]
I am relieved that it does not sound like your friend is suffering from some kind of ailment. His situation may be something only he has the answers to, unless it is another trick of this world at play.
no subject
Biologically, yes.. [ He's escaped death by a close margin so many times now, starting from literal infancy, that it seems that any time now it Botan might actually be showing up to take his soul to the spirit realm after all. As much as the others would hate to hear him even speculate on as much, or as much chagrin as it brings to him to think that Koenma would probably not allow it. ]
If I bring up him being weaker I'm sure I will simply get an ear full. [ Which is mainly why he hasn't brought it up. ]
Beyond that, I don't want to start an entire interrogation from him or others about the differences in time frame....
[ He can hear Kurama now. ]
no subject
[It really seems like they're their own species rather than some monsters existing for the service of sin. Very fascinating.]
I see. It sounds like you are all very proud people. It is all up to you, really. If you are fine not knowing for sure, you can leave that as a mystery for now.
no subject
Apparently, we are different than others, so... it is not universal. [ He only knows as much thanks to a conversation with Ange, but it makes sense. World to world, humans were so different, so it only made sense for that to apply to demons too.
Though the idea of being summoned like that is mildly annoying - ]
It could be problematic, if we run into a fight, here. Having all of us at full power is, of course, ideal.
no subject
[Though it won't shake this Kurt's own personal faith.]
True, though power isn't everything. At the very least, you should prepare yourselves for working together optimally during emergency situations. I myself have been getting used to working as part of a team.
no subject
We are oddly ready for that in most every situation, at this point. [ But Hiei prefers sheer, trampling amounts of power where he can possibly get it. Besides his sword mastery, his fire abilities tended to be purposefully all-encompassing. ]
Since that first mission babysitting, it's easier to fall into.
no subject
[He remarks with a slight smile.]
It sounds like you have much experience together. That's good.
no subject
[ Hiei has always felt odd about the term ‘team’, the same as he always felt odd about the word ‘friend’. At this point there’s no telling if it’s his own damages from how he had grown up or simply the implications of growing up a demon in the demon woods.
Either way, he answers with a non-committal grunt about being a good team. ]
It happens when you face down death more times than you can count with the same group of people.
[ he could somewhat count. At least four times, if he didn’t count rounds of the dark tournament individually. But still. ]
I think, though, the others had hoped for more peace than what they got.
no subject
We are shaped through adversity and the trials set before us. And by taking them on together, we become stronger together. Regardless of whether or not one intended to become a team in the first place.
[His smile then fades as he looks off at the hopes of peace, thinking of the ones that were dashed back in his world.]
Peace is what we all hope for in our hearts. But unfortunately, it is never so easy. There are always more trials. More tests. It may be only in Heaven that peace truly exists.
no subject
If Heaven involves Koenma in any form, peace does not exist.
[ Look, he's had to deal with binky breath enough to know that the loud sometimes baby-formed godling is obnoxious and he would easily choose to be rid of him. Yusuke and the others may be somewhat fond of him but.. well. Hiei's got a few bones to pick with his punishments for his crimes. And the fact that he's heard over time the way that Kurama's fate has been tied in with his own as a way to underhandedly have the other demon keep him to heel.
... It's an entire thing. ]
And if Botan has to be the one to take me to Spirit World I would rather be a lost spirit.
no subject
I would hope that you do not end up lost, at the very least. For now, we can only strive to do the best that we can in our lives and pray for forgiveness for our sins.
