[Scott's jaw clenches, somewhat annoyed at Yosuke for pointing that out, but he's mostly just irritated at the stupid screen for calling him out. How does it know anyway?? Aldrip really sucks sometimes-- well, this crap is much the cherry on top of the gnosia shit sundae.]

Yeah, so? Does it matter if we lie through some of these stupid questions?

[Granted, he's not sure what will happen if they lie too much. Hopefully it isn't something too horrific, but Scott still doesn't feel like talking about the people that actually hurt him. That's in the past, he doesn't want to bring up stupid memories, because he's dealt with it a long time ago now.]

[he thinks about it for a long time... but he's just not sure what to say here.

it's a few minutes before he answers, thoughtful look on his face.]

Mikey.

[well... the screen didn't turn red. maybe it'll let them go on now?]

[Scott shifts almost awkwardly when Yosuke answers the question and apparently in an entirely truthful manner, as the screen doesn't flash the same way as it did with him. Great, now he almost feels obligated to be more truthful on his end, even if the question has already vanished from his screen.]

...Has he talked to you since he returned?

[Is it talking about this stuff now??]

[there's a long silence, and Yosuke's hands curl into fists.]

... No.

[that's truthful, at least. because he'd only been talking to Yu so far.]

You?

[Ah, great.

He's a little surprised Mikey hasn't talked to Yosuke at all, but guess he's still patching things up with Yu. Working on one boyfriend at a time or something like that, even though Scott definitely doesn't count in there. The mutant awkwardly stands around for a few seconds, wishing once more he can shove his hands into his pockets, but he just has to endure everything in his pajamas.]

...Yeah, he has.

[A couple of times, actually, but Scott decides to keep that part to himself. It already seems a little crappy to admit this much, but he doesn't want to lie to Yosuke. If Mikey gets yelled at later on for this, well, maybe he should've talked to the other teen in the first place!! Scott can't feel too bad for the biker, even though their relationship is slowly mending.] I'm sure his apology tour will eventually make its way to you.

[the fact that they're talking about this in their pajamas... incredible.

he snorts a little bit.]

Better not. I don't think I can forgive him anytime soon.

[there's a beat. and then he's going to move on:]

What's the next question?

[He's not going to tell Yosuke how to feel when it comes to Mikey. If that's anyone's job, it's Yu's, and so he'll happily just move onto the next question. Drama between three teenage boys isn't something Scott wants to poke at, especially when it comes to romance. No thanks.]

The most obvious question to be asked after something like that. [Small pause.] What are you most afraid of?

[Scott shifts where he's standing, a small breath leaving him.] So, putting this out there, nothing bad happened to me when I gave a half-assed answer on the other question.

[.......... long sigh. why are there questions like this? they're both in their pajamas. they're both sleepy. so why.

Yosuke grumbles incoherently under his breath:]

Life.

[there. that's his half-assed answer.

but as Scott said, nothing bad happened, even if the screen did flash red.]

[Scott's not sure what it says about himself or his friends that Yosuke's answer actually felt serious?? Look, it feels like something Minato would say. Maybe a couple of others. So, he's actually relieved when the stupid screen flashes red, signaling that his friend was bullshitting. Right, he doesn't have to worry about that sort of thing when it comes to Yosuke.

Although, there's still a slightly scrunched face sent towards his way. Yeah yeah, touchy subject.]

Dude, you couldn't have gone with something like pop quizzes?? [Somehow, that registers as an answer, and predictably, Scott's screen flashes red once more.]

Yosuke shrugs.]

Dude, I got dragged out here in my damn pajamas while there's killer maniacs on the loose. I'm not exactly thinking of rainbows and butterflies right now!!

[he's just saying!!]

[Okay, fair, but also try harder man!! Geez!!]

I'm standing out here in my pajamas as well! Not like I just suddenly forgot about the crap happening around here.

[But okay, focus, Summers. Think about the positives, nothing still happened to either of them despite giving out half-assed answers. So, maybe this will actually work. He doesn't mind cheesing some stupid survey. Honestly, it feels like they're sticking it to the system and he's all about that!!

Especially since the next question sucks. It just keeps getting better. It really is some never ending turd--]

So, now we're being asked if we killed someone. Or thought about it. [Can he mention video games?? He totally thought about killing someone in a game. It's not his fault that the questionnaire is a little vague and can be completely misinterpreted. Or maybe it's best to be a smartass about this.]

Yeah, totally. [Oh wait he has to-- Scott straightens himself up and adopts a gruffer voice, well, he tries to at least.] Humans have only seen a fraction of our power. Mutants will reign supreme and we'll kill the inferior species that arrived before us.

[That's basically what Magneto said on national television!! The screen bleeps red once more.]

[Yosuke raises his eyebrows through Scott's answer. he's absolutely certain that the other guy didn't believe that, and was rewarded by the answer going red.

he thinks about it too, wondering if he should bullshit his answer too because Scott kept saying that he was just being Too Serious about it...

but he can tell the truth and still sound stupid. right?]

I wanted to shove someone into a TV once. That count?

[at least... the screen turns green. he wonders if it's because it knows what that means in his world???

who knows.]

[He has so many questions.

Especially since the screen turned green, meaning that Yosuke wasn't lying. What the hell?? Scott squints at his friend from behind his shade, not even bothering to hide that questioning look from him.]

Uh, apparently it does count?? [Okay, he wanted to leave this alone and move on, but he has to ask. Yosuke's answer is too bizarre.] How-- do I want to know, man?

[How do you kill someone by shoving them into a TV? That takes some major creativity and definitely not the first thing that would come to Scott's mind. You like... push people off a cliff when it comes to 'dying when shoved.' Not that he'd volunteer getting shoved into a TV, but still.]
