Who: Galaxia and YOU [open]
Where: A Tavern in Aldrip
What: Drinking. Probably.
Warnings: None right now.
[It's been an interesting time since she's arrived on this world. Such a wide variety of people all gathered in one place. It's unusual -- much like some of the people here -- to find so many different types gathered together.
Though this whole chosen nonsense no doubt has something to do with it. She's a chosen person all right, but the whole deal with this world is something she doesn't particularly right. She doesn't trust it. (She doesn't trust anything).
That's partially the reason she's here, sitting at a table within a Tavern. People talk in these kinds of places. Sometimes they say things that are useful. Maybe she'll learn more about the world and its secrets here. It's worth a shot anyway.
The problem is it's also full of people who see her as someone to bother. She has no real interest in befriending any of the people. She just wants information. Drinking does help with dealing with some of it. And she's built up a nice little collection of glasses in front of her.
Of course she won't even bother to look at most who might decide to approach as her drink is far more important.]
Not interested.
[That's all she'll say.]

A disembodied voice speaks, landing directly on Galaxia's ears from the air itself.]
The mighty conqueror drinks alone.
no subject
Nothing. Well, something. But no one is actually standing there. That's interesting. She didn't know he had that kind of power.]
I find my own company is far preferable to the masses. So are you intending to join or just continue to hide?
[Not that she was really inviting him, but either sit down and join her Sephiroth or stop looming as a disembodied voice.]
no subject
He smiles at her with an expression that might be almost charming if worn by any other face.]
If I am being invited... I take it I am not "the masses" then?
[As he speaks, he sits back, gently kicking one long leg across the knee of the other.]
no subject
You don't have to be human to be among those who foolishly gather together. But you also don't seem like that type to do so.
[Though that doesn't really answer his question. She actually doesn't really have an answer yet. Sure she pretty much groups everyone else the same, but he's odd enough to throw that off.]
no subject
[He blows out a breathy sound, almost a laugh.]
I actually have a very...important gathering to attend to.
[Although his plans for the Reunion have been mostly shattered by coming to Expiation. Frustrating, he thinks, but a cunning man can form other plans. If he devours whatever brought him here he's sure he can shift himself home again.
In the dim light of the tavern his eyes nearly sparkle as he thinks about it, then he dips his chin slightly, obscuring his face behind his hair.]
I will return to it, one day.
[Another patron brushes past him, loses her footing, and grips the back of his chair to steady herself. She doesn't seem to be aware of his presence.]
no subject
After you break free of this world.
[She's thought about that too. Finding a way to leave, but in the back of her mind she also knows she doesn't really have a place to return to. Not really. She has to find that for herself, again. She will. Eventually.]
If you can.
[She'll add that part just because.]
no subject
[That is a simple fact, as far as he's concerned.]
And I will find it.
[Although it may involve everyone on this planet dying horribly, possibly even himself. He doesn't mind dying as long as he can cling to his own existence afterward.]
Until then, I intend to make use of my time here.
no subject
[He's arrogant. She can see that. She has no real room to talk. But she has power to back that up, does he?
Maybe she'll poke at him more just to see, just to satisfy her own curiosity.]
Where are you really?
no subject
[He grins, though it never reaches his eyes.]
But that does not prevent me from exploring the city.
no subject
[He's going to be one of those types who is possibly anywhere and everywhere isn't he? She imagines for some that might be a serious problem.]
no subject
Does it matter? Are you planning to come to me for a face-to-face chat?
no subject
Curious to how far your power reaches. If I wanted to find you, I would.
no subject
Really? Then come.
Find me.
no subject
Are you sure?
[She actually doesn't wait for him to answer. Her form simply distorts and vanishes completely startling someone who just happened to be walking by. The poor soul even drops their drink.
Galaxia on the other hand fades into view within Lorentia Cave. Not directly beside Sephiroth or anything, but within the vicinity of the cave. Funny enough were he less powerful, he wouldn't be as easy to find. Those with power and strong wills have brighter lights than regular humans. Not so easily lost among regular people.
In other words, Sephiroth is weird enough to stand out.]

Within the Chrysalis he stirs as if trying to wake from a dream. His eyes open and he looks into empty space.
There.
Beyond the walls of his lair. She's here. He has to admit he's impressed, but he can't will himself to move yet. Usually, he comes out of his deep meditations more gently.
Until he properly awakens someone else will have to greet his guest.
The Hypostyle Hall where Galaxia manifests is dark as pitch until fire suddenly gathers above, illuminating the walls and the scaled chest and shoulders of a dragon. A dragon clearly intent on turning her into ashes.]
no subject
I'm not here for you.
[Any fire from the dragon will meet against an invisible barrier. She really didn't come here to deal with some creature who is either upset that she's here or is wanting to eat her. Or both. Probably both.
Not that she turns away from challenges, but animals are pretty below her as far as power goes (we won't get into the wolf she slaughtered just to piss off Noel, that doesn't count). If it continues to attack, she'll certainly blast the thing away. Or impale it on one of the spikey rocks.]

[ Finally, someone who doesn't want to chatter about useless shit. It's a relief, which is why Joel sits down across from her with his own drink. ]
You're new.
[ It's a statement, not a question. He frequents this bar, has since he first arrived. He knows the faces at least of most of the Chosen, certainly those who also spend time here. ]
no subject
I suppose so, since I haven't been here before.
[And he's stating the obvious.]
Why? Is that not allowed?
no subject
You don't want to be pestered. Neither do I. The problem is, a lot of the people they've been kidnapping really love to pester people. So, way I figure it, if we look like we're pestering each other, we're more likely to be left alone.
[ After making that brilliant little speech, Joel takes an unhurried sip of his drink. ]
no subject
She can't really argue with that point. He's right. She only hasn't decided if she tolerates him more or less than the other people.
But for now --]
Who are you?
no subject
[ And yeah, that's all she's getting from him on that. ]
What's your name?
[ He is more specific, and narrow in his questions. Why? He's not interested in learning her whole life story. He doesn't really care. ]
no subject
Galaxia.
[She has no intention of giving him her life story. So don't mind her as she goes back to her drink.]
no subject
There was a food shortage, not long ago. Refrigeration all broke down at once. Didn't feel like a coincidence, so I'd expect something else to happen, before long.
[ This is the useful information that he can share with her, as a newcomer. ]
no subject
So you believe someone is intentionally sabotaging the place ...
[She leans in a bit and picks up her glass]
Do you think it's specifically against the 'chosen' or those already here?
no subject
[ This is a prison, after all. They're prisoners. "Criminals", for some definition of the word. ]
