[Caitlyn's fist tighten as Jinx's singsong tone hits her ears, and she scoffs at the derogatory remarks-- none of it's new, but she doesn't have her usual filters to not be so bothered by it.]

Do you ever shut up?

[She wished she would just shut up, for once! She was so tired of all the rude comments, the nasty jokes, the mean spirited jabs-- all of it, was so annoying, so uncalled for!

If anyone should be awful, it should be her, not Jinx! Caitlyn might have drawn Vi's attention, but at least she was still alive. Caitlyn avoided her, even now, to protect her. But Jinx? Jinx took everything away from her. She tried to take Vi away, she killed her mother, her bestfriend, and ruined everything! Jinx was the reason her and Vi couldn't be together in the end, either. Because Vi couldn't leave her sister behind, she was going to leave her.

But not if Caitlyn ends this now. Then Vi can be hers, and only hers, and everything will be the way it was supposed to be.]

It's funny, when I realized I had this power, I tried to fight it. But now, I realize it's the answer to all my problems.

Hmm, and what power is that? Drinking tea without spilling it all over yourself like an idiot? Y'know, I make one heck of coffee if you're interesting! One ugly mug. But first...

[ her slender fingers curl around the trigger, and she weaves the heavy machinery to aim square middle of the topsider's torso. ]

Hands up, Enforcer! You're under a-roast! HA, HA, HA!!

[ with a sharp tug, the machine gun's barrel spins to life — slow for a millisecond, then speeds as her firearm roars with the bullets gliding freely at it's opponent. ]

[Caitlyn puts her hands up, but not for Jinx's demands. Her hands lift, but press forward just as the gun speeds up and the bullets fire in her direction. She could feel them, even before Jinx fired. It's something she's practiced, controlling bullets mid-flight, so it feels almost easy, stopping them in their path. They hover in front of her hands, before they drop worthlessly to the ground.

Most of them, anyway. She's still relatively new to this, and the amount of bullets at one time pushes at her limits. A few push through the boundaries of what she can manage, and she winces as she feels the burn in her arms and legs. It's mostly just grazes, but she refuses to lose focus, lest the onslaught of bullets truly make their mark. At least the clip wouldn't last forever.]

[ if caitlyn ever had a dream about wiping her devious smile off jinx's face, that dream has finally come true to her as her enthusiastic flare fizzles out. her mouth hangs open in disbelief and her eyes widen as if she might have seen a ghost. the blueberry haired girl exchange glances from the bullets that rest by the woman's feet to her own weapon. ]

Wooah... you saw that, Pow-Pow? She stopped you from singing.

[ she tugs the machinery close to her body, inspecting the barrel and the nozzle. ]

Guess I can't use you for shooting...

[ her awe evaporates quickly as it came, and the loose cannon comically shrugs her shoulders before exclaiming: ]

WHELP!

New game! — BATTER UP!!

[ in post-haste, jinx sheds the machine gun off her frame and grabs a hold of the weapon with both of her hands, curling around the nozzle. the butt of it, she positions it over her shoulder then shimmer speeds to caitlyn, essentially now using the object as a massive bat than its actual purpose. when she's only a few inches away from her, jinx hikes it above her head -- winding herself up to swing at the enforcer's head. will it happen? will it not? will someone come and save her? roll the dice and find out! ]

[Even with her new found powers, Caitlyn can't compete with the speed boost that Jinx got from Shimmer. As she speeds forward, Caitlyn barely has time to step back, and even then, Jinx is looming over her ready to strike with the butt of the gun.

She throws her hands above her, not touching the gun, but putting as much force as she can into pushing the gun away. Jinx's strength may still win out, or maybe it will unbalance her, she wasn't sure. But she was going to fight back as hard as she could.

And she still had her Gnosia power, just waiting to be let loose...]

[ finally the stars are aligned for jinx. after months and months of daydreaming of striking caitlyn (ever since the tea party) is now becoming a reality. and how embarrassing it must be for the enforcer that she literally whacked her with the exact same move from then, but just in a different angle?

for a police officer, they really don't learn their lesson. the loose cannon crackles in pure joy when her weapon connects with the woman's face, her eyes glowing in excitement over the blood spattering in all different directions. maybe one kick to the head next once the lady is down will be enough to knock her out extra cold. ]

[The gun makes contact and Caitlyn is thrown back off her feet. It's no surprise, really. Caitlyn doesn't have the actual strength to fight back when it comes to physical attacks, especially when Jinx has Shimmer to make her that much stronger.

It's unfair, just like it always is with Jinx.

Caitlyn growls under her breath as she pulls herself up to a crouching position, using one of her hands to wipe away some of the blood from her face. It doesn't really help, just smears it, and makes her look all that more deranged in the moment.

She pushed her hand forward first, feeling for the metal pole she sensed near them. She made it rip from the ground, and threw it at Jinx. It was just a diversion, just to distract Jinx long enough for her to get back to her feet. But now that she was up, she closed her eyes, feeling the Gnosia power rising inside her. All it took was pulling on the thread, pointing at Jinx, and suddenly time stopped. Finally, her problem would be no more.]

[Ekko was still trying to navigate the horrifying turn of events that were unfolding within Aldrip as the Gnosia infection afflicted its citizens, using his newfound powers as a Guardian Angel to save unsuspecting victims from being attacked en mass. It was great feeling a sense of worth during the affair sure but was ultimately concerned for those back home after no word from anyone for days. Vi and Caitlyn hadn't been at their homestead as far as he was concerned since this whole debacle unfolded which caused him to worry, deciding to look for the pair of them now.

What he didn't expect to stumble across in his search was the grizzled battle that was ensuing upon finding not only one of his housemates but Jinx along with her. A slack jawed expression strikes true over his features as he looks between the pair, unbridled in all out warfare causing him to rush towards them with haste.]

Caitlyn, Jinx- What the hell is going on here!?

[With Jinx looming over her counterpart, a maniacal expression plastered over his face stained in bloodshed his vision narrows. Extending out a hand in aid unto his housemate Ekko bestows upon his gift of the Guardian Angel's grace in hopes of defending her from the ensuing onslaught considering her current state of affairs, standing beside her rallied defensively as he glares towards Jinx now with an unsettled look.]

Why are you two fighting each other like this have you both gone mad!?

[she'd lost Caitlyn. she had been thinking there was something off about her lately, like she might be... one of them, but Caitlyn would tell her. right?

either way, it doesn't matter that much right now. because she'd lost Caitlyn, and she was in this crazy city while everyone was doing who-knows-what to each other.

she'd been looking for a while, but the sound of Ekko yelling sent her running to the source of it. he'd said... he'd said Caitlyn and Jinx, right?

oh gods.

the fear of that encounter made her run faster, and it wasn't long until she skidded to a stop in front of the group.]

Hey!! Stop this!!

[was Jinx... was she one of them, too?]

[ everything happened so fast. first the pole hurling towards her (which she almost got hit by), to ekko rushing in, then her sister right after. and darting her gaze between all three of them (to ekko and vi more so than cait), her face hardens like stone, and growls with her teeth clenching tight — speaking through them with so much venom coating over her words. ]

You. You two are always getting in the way of everything...!!

[ and she lifts her machine gun firmly and straight, almost prepping herself to shoot at whoever decides to make the first move. ]

You two got to the count of ten to get outta here, or I'm going to get really angry. And Pow-Pow is starting to get impatient!

[It's fortunate for Jinx that Ekko appeared when he did. He threw his Guardian Angel in between them, but unbeknownst to him, it was an attack from Caitlyn that he stopped. It was fair to assume it would be coming from the opposing combatant, especially since she hadn't shared her infection with her housemates. She simply left, giving Vi the best chance at staying safe. Even in her infected state, her anger was more pointed to the one that caused her so much pain and grief, not wanting anyone else caught in the crossfire.

But she had to play it coy. If they knew she was infected, they would try to stop her too, and she couldn't have that.]

Ekko! Thank goodness you got here-- Jinx has gone mad. She started attacking me for no reason! She must be one of the infected.

[It's far too easy to play the victim when you're literally bleeding. She fights back a smirk when Ekko's attention is on Jinx, but then there was another figure approaching, and-- godsdammit.

Of course Vi would find them too. She had a knack for being at the wrong place at the wrong time. But that just made putting an end to Jinx here and now a bit harder. Even if there still the part of her that wants Vi safe, the anger and obsession are winning right now.]

Vi! She's infected, it isn't safe! [She could easily deflect bullets again, and she will if she needs to, but she's trying to play the innocent victim role still, so she's going to let Vi and Ekko have their moment of being the heroes.]

[Tension filled the space between the two combatants as Ekko stood beside his housemate, mixed emotions tearing him apart as he tries to process what to do in this vexed situation. On the one hand Caitlyn had been good to him here in Aldrip giving him a place to call 'home' despite the multitude of differences from Runeterra and on the other there was Jinx whom he'd recently tried to reconcile with, sharing a rather intimate moment together as they expressed their feelings for one another. Gritting his teeth in disdain as a look of distress washes over his face, peering back and forth betwixt the pair filled with conflicted emotions he was eternally grateful when Vi's voice interrupted their spat in turn.]

Thank Janna...Vi, I- Don't know what to do here.

[Shamefully admitting he was at a loss given the disparity at large, harboring feelings of guilt for picking Caitlyn's side immediately without knowing the full story here. Pulling his big sister aside by the arm for a moment the boy savior gives her a pensive look before turning his head to make sure the two weren't at each others throats again, voice little louder than a whisper so they were not overheard by the pair.]

There's definitely something wrong with Jinx but...I have no idea what could have provoked her to attack Caitlyn like this.

[He wasn't outright saying her spouse was lying to them but something seemed a bit off putting with how her counterpart was acting, not usually one to play the hopeless victim card as far as he'd known her.]

Caitlyn had disappeared. that much was unusual, especially since she would usually say where she was going. but she hadn't. and Jinx was... Jinx, but there seemed to be more ferocity to her. like everything they'd worked for just fell apart at the drop of a hat.

she nods at Ekko, and then moves to stand in between Jinx and Caitlyn, hands up and facing her sister.]

Calm down, both of you. Neither one of you are acting right right now.

[hopefully she won't get shot in the process LMFAO]

Jinx, just put Pow-Pow down, and we can talk.

[ despite her big sister's wishes to lower her machine gun, jinx doesn't. instead, she steadily glides it from person to person then back again, as if she can't really decide who her target should be. ]

Ooohh, we're done talking, Big Sis. In fact, we're waaaay past that, MONTHS passed that.

[ the bluenette straightens then curls her fingers over the lever again and taunts the three of them by letting pow-pow's barrel swirl sluggishly then die back down for fun. ]

— I know all of you still have it out for me for what I've done to the Council back home, and I know you're all plotting to turn me in to Jerry and his losers.

[ jinx side-steps to the left, so her machine gun can avert away from vi's body shield and to target back at caitlyn. ]

And that... Piltover Tramp is working for them!! Why wouldn't she? Alllll about justice, and order, and coming up on top as long as we stay as scum underneath their boots. Well, guess what, Toots? Jinxie doesn't like her role in this play, and I'm here to rewrite the script...!!

[At least Ekko and Vi are just confused. They don't completely suspect her of being Gnosia, and while her bloodlust is still directed at the one pointing the machine gun at her, it's three against one. She can't outright attack Jinx while these two are getting in the way.]

See? She's finally lost it. She's hated me from the beginning. But she doesn't need a reason, if she's infected. They've been killing just to kill.

[Jinx is Gnosia. There's no doubt about that. So if she can manipulate them into putting all their focus onto Jinx, maybe she can make this work. Pretend she was trying to save them and make a go on her. Jinx seemed more than willing to shoot again. It would be a shame if she deflected one of those bullets right back at her...]

[When Jinx snaps out against them Ekko's brow furrow in disdain over the proclamation at large, she wasn't exactly wrong but it still stings to hear it given everything they've been through here in Aldrip together now. Sure they had their differences back home but here they were making real progress to reestablishing their old roots, more than that even after having shared the intimate moment together in her treehouse none to recently. He didn't want to play favorites and thus tried to calm down her demeanor as he too stepped in between the pair, taking a step closer towards the blue haired sister with hands raised in front of his person just like Vi.]

Easy, Jinx, easy. This isn't like you...I know you hate Caitlyn for what she may have done in the past but this kind of rage is different than even what I've known from you in the past.

[Looking back over his shoulder towards the Enforcer a pensive glare is ushered forth with a shake of his head as he holds a hand defensively towards each of them barring their path from one another.]

Caitlyn she's infected and can't fight this...But you two shouldn't be fighting one another. I know you don't like conflict if it can be avoided like me so why are you instigating this further? Lets just try and cool our heads, alright?!

Ekko's right! Shut up, both of you!

[she looks at Jinx now, keeping her hands up and side stepping to shield again, only moving closer. she thinks... she feels like she knows what she needs to do. it may be kind of difficult while Jinx is in this state, but she has to try.]

Jinx, it's okay. I won't let anything happen to you, I promise. And fuck Jerry, why do you think I'd work with that guy? Just... try to think. Please.
