[ The sobbing girl looks young and lost, and Marianne can relate to the feeling of being overwhelmed after waking up to find herself torn from the world she knew. She goes to sit besides her, tugging at the fabric of her dress primly as she folds her legs sideways. ]
This is Aldrip. A lot of us found ourselves here like you.
Owwwwww.... [Usagi is okay with feeling sorry for herself if there's no one around to pity her. True, she'll get over it and try and figure things out if left alone, but she really could use a keeper.
At the sound of the new person, Usagi flashes a truly pitiable face with tears falling down her face and red blotchiness everywhere for Marianne to fully enjoy. Through squinting, swollen eyes, she looks over the other woman and takes in her long hair, pretty features and the pretty dress before she starts to sniff and sit up straight to make herself look less hideous in front of a woman who has as much class and style as Michiru-san.]
O-oh, uh... I'm... [And then she remembers how she was assaulted by that robot and lifts a head to rub at her forehead.] Aldrip? I've never heard of that. [Why didn't she pay attention in class? No doubt Ami would know where this place is. Unless she's been kidnapped by another crazy alien prince.] Were you kidnapped too?
[ Reaching into her dress pocket, Marianne produces a handkerchief and offers it to Usagi should she like to use it to dry her tears. Her heart goes out to the young girl, and she's even a little upset on her behalf. Why were the gods so cruel? It's unthinkable she could be guilty of any crime that deserved being torn away from her family and friends. ]
I was brought here like you. It's an adjustment, but people are kind and willing to help. We'll find you a place to stay. My name's Marianne.
[ She explains softly, hoping to reassure her. To call it a 'kidnapping' isn't wrong, but she doesn't want to scare the girl into thinking the worst. Their lives in Aldrip can be quite comfortable even if it's not home. ]
[Somewhere, Usagi's mother is rather upset that her daughter doesn't have her own handkerchief, especially when she knows for a fact that there a multitude embroidered with the girl's name. Ikuko's pain aside, Usagi shyly takes the piece of cloth, wiping tears and snot alike away in a few swift movements.
The kind gesture only reminds her more of Michiru and that makes her more inclined to like the other girl.] H-How long have you been here?
[The part about kind and willing to help people is fine, but not what she's really focused on just yet.]
Oh, I'm Usagi! [Her name even starts with the same letter.... Fate?]
[ She hopes the fact is not alarming to Usagi. It's a lot of time away from home. Thankfully, she has Dorte and Claude with her, along with new friends to keep her company, people and animals included. ]
Um, I'd be happy to show you around, Usagi. We could take a walk around town, maybe get some food. There's a solstice celebration going on.
[ Hopefully the festivities would help take her mind off being displaced. ]
