Who: Naoto Shirogane and ???
Where: Various around Aldrip and the nearby meadows/woods
What: Things Naoto is doing this month AKA, training, moping, investigating

[It was rare to see Naoto not clean and dressed smartly. But early on that morning she could be found furiously scrubbing a damp brush against all. Wearing her normal black trousers and a white shirt that now had splotches of paint on it.
It was also rare to hear her curse in any way... Granted, growling 'damnnit' was very minor. But this was Naoto after all.
And she wasn't very happy to leave her apartment this morning and find a crudely painted stick figure in a cap and the words 'TINY DETECTIVE! FOR A LOWER PERSPECTIVE!' next to it.
She was going to keep grumbling as the paint barely came off.]

[On other mornings, Naoto was also undressed compared to normal. Though probably overdressed for the weather. Given she was wearing a full tracksuit. Because she was making an attempt. Her lack of physical prowess had been what had let her down in the tower. She'd just not had the stamina.
That was part of the reason she'd chosen to try this in the early hours. Because how many people would go to the club building at 6am? She'd noticed the gym during her brief visits.
Except... She didn't really know how to start. Her favorite sport was billards! She wasn't built for this.
Just going to do some stretches? Maybe some jogging around the outside of the court lines? Failing at situps? Oh, she just fell on her face...]
Hunting on the outskirts
[With the festival on the horizon, and a part of it taking place near the farmlands. There had been a few jobs to go and make sure there weren't any monsters, there shouldn't be any too close. But just to be safe, so there weren't any accidents.
That worked for Naoto. While she could practise her shooting at the small range, after months of fighting shadows it didn't help much. Was it the best idea? Coming out alone like this? Probably not, but she didn't want to bother her senpai. Didn't want to worry them, clearly it was best not to mention it.
Besides, she had to stand on her own two feet. Even if she was trying to get better at working as a part of a team, wasn't it best if she could be independent as well?
She could be found trying to track monsters, or maybe after
The raptors had been bold. Making their nest in an old, abandoned toolshed. Though they'd not laid any eggs yet. It was best to scare them off before that happened and they got territorial about the area. That had been the idea at least.]
Persona-!
[Buuut, they'd decided Naoto and a loud bang wasn't particularly intimidating and had started spitting fireballs at her. Summoning Yamato Sumeragi to just stand in front of her and.... He wasn't affected by the flames at all.
She huffed, frowning at the two birds. What to do? She didn't want to kill them, but if they really wanted this spot...]

Hunting
Still, in case it was surprising for them if they hadn't noticed him yet, Levi coughs a bit and speaks up. Hopefully nothing was all that close.]
Hey.
no subject
Naoto was currently crouched. Examining a print, a wolf maybe? She could tell where something had passed though, but identifying animals was still new to her.]
Hey... Did you hear? The monsters are roaming close to the campsites.
no subject
Yeah, they do that from time to time. But I think with the request board us Chosen manage to deal with it most of the time. Is that what you're out here for? Its not a bad way to earn money.
no subject
But she stood. It wasn't fresh, not really, a day old it seemed.]
I've found I'm not really wanting for money here... But it seems like a better way of making sure my skills don't get rusty.
[Was it really only the chosen that handled issues here? That was something to think about.]
no subject
[He nods.]
Yeah, that's part of why I do it. Going after living things is a lot different than shooting at a stationary target.

He sees Naoto on his way back, and well, he's also seen situations like this before. Usually happening to him. Or at least, they did in the past. So he stops.]
Do you need a hand?
no subject
So she's been brushing at the graffiti for a few hours now. With how little she had to do here, it was almost a welcome distraction. It kept her mind occupied.
Her frown turned to him when he spoke to her. Then she took a step back, examining the wall... It looked no different to when she started.]
Perhaps. Do you know what'd clean this?
[Currently she had warm, soapy water and a bristle brush. This was a job that probably needed a specialised cleaner but good luck finding that here.]
no subject
Maybe like a paint thinner or something? Or rubbing alcohol?
Something like that?
no subject
[What was available here was so strange really.]

wildcarding!
I'm Marianne. [ She introduces herself to one such patient, her hand over her heart. ] Will you show me where you were injured?
cw:slight blood?
Naoto hadn't limped into the clinic. But she'd been holding her left arm, wincing whenever it was moved. She gave Marianne a small nod. Normally she'd bow but with her arm.
Her clothing choices probably didn't help Marianne. The dark longsleeved-jacket masked the blood. There wasn't a ton, she wasn't in danger of bleeding out. But that was because Naoto hadn't touched the injury. She'd made her way to the clinic as soon as she was able.]
It appears that even the plants are aggressive here.
[Which is why she had an inch-wide thorn piercing through the muscle of her forearm.
Not her worst injury. But there wasn't a handy senpai with dia present.]
no subject
I'll remove the thorn and cast healing magic to close the wound. Does that sound alright? Do you know what kind of plant it was?
[ It would be good to know in case other complications like poison was involved. It alarms her to hear that Aldrip's plants have grown as vicious as the monsters. All those poor, unsuspecting animals grazing on them... ]
no subject
She nodded at Marianne's suggestion. That was in line with what she'd expected. She was glad for the healing magic at least. Getting stitches and waiting for it to heal would have been inconvenient. It wasn't like she could ask one of her senpai to cast dia either. ]
Unfortunately, I couldn't say. Other than that particular plant will no longer be an issue.
[The moment it'd gotten her, she'd set it on fire.]

Endurance training
"This is not a proper way to prepare to fight shadows...."
no subject
At the voice, she jolted. Shoving herself up so fast she'd almost stumbled back over. She scowled at the intruder, brushing herself off. Acting casual.
"...I wasn't going to fight a shadow.'
Maybe back home. But she'd not seen any here... Besides, improving her general fitness would help her in that regard, wouldn't it?
no subject
She lets out a little breath, she was bored, and the prospect of someone to fight, even if only in a preparatory manner perked her up a bit.
"I admit, I myself have become rusty without my brother to practice with."
no subject
"It'll help in a way." Maybe she'd be able to cast more magic even.
"You have a brother as well? Just how many siblings do you have?"

[ Okay, so Ange saying that - in her usual dry tone - probably isn't helping. But it's hard to not notice the painting, especially when Naoto is only drawing more attention to it with the way she's so furiously trying to scrub it off the wall.
Besides, Ange isn't really as interested in the direct contents of the message - despite pointing it out just now - as much as she is in these scribbles in general. That's why she's even bothering to stop mid-walk and comment on it. ]
I'm imagining you didn't put up that advertisement yourself. [ Obviously. Since Naoto is trying to get rid of it.
Besides, it doesn't even really.. look like an advertisement.. ]
no subject
Her height was a sore point, okay. Her build in general was a sore point. She didn't appreciate something mocking it right outside her door.]
Obviously not.
no subject
Who knows why, though. Ange isn't particularly tall, but she's never really thought or worried about her height. It's what happens when you have at least ten thousand other things in your life to worry about. ]
Then why did someone make that?
[ Okay, clearly to mock Naoto. Ange isn't stupid. She can realise as much. ]
Did you pick a fight with someone? [ That's much more what she's interested in here. Whether this is an isolated incident or the first evidence of the people of this place turning against them all over again. It's just something that seems to keep happening. ]
no subject
Naoto frowned at the question, looking back to the graffiti. Briefly opening her mouth. Closing it, thinking.]
Not that I know of... [She wasn't aware of anyone she'd upset who'd do this. But she'd also been told that she was oblivious to people's feelings.]

It wasn't surprising that Caitlyn would be up early, wanting to get an early start on her current requests, so she would have the evening free to help Vi, but as she was walking to the office, she couldn't help but notice Naoto was a mess, scrubbing and trying to clean something off the wall.]
Naoto? Is everything alright?
no subject
Naoto stiffened at the voice. Then slowly turned, carefully schooling her face so it was blank and she didn't frown. Though her brows were lightly pinched together.]
Someone decided to make a rather crude statement.
[She shruged at the wall. ]
no subject
Caitlyn watches Naoto stiffen. While she doesn't know her well, her face is black. Holding back her feelings? It just makes Caitlyn frown more. She pauses, moving to set her things on the ground, then taking a step closer.]
How can I help?
no subject
I was trying to remove it. But it seems as though it's set.
[She'd need paint stripper. But it wasn't her wall and what if she damaged the brickwork.]
