TWAT club meeting mingle
Who: Scott Summers and members of TWAT (Teenagers With Abilities and Talents) Club. Or any teenager that just stops by really.
Where: Roof of the club building
What: Teenagers with abilities or maybe no real abilities hanging out on the rooftop and eating food. Talking. Doing club stuff.
Warnings: Probably none.
[Maybe you're already part of TWAT club and read the message that Scott sent out to everyone, basically stating that they're having a meeting this Saturday to just hang out and meet new members. Or you saw one of the flyers around town that mentioned about having a meeting. Either way, the meeting is held at the rooftop of the club building, so just come. No food or anything required. He's a good leader like that, yeah. Definitely.]
before the meeting;
[Why did you come early, god.
Well, anyone that is one of those people that like to come early to events, Scott's putting you to work. Maybe it's just helping getting the food out on the tables, or bringing up chairs or tables up to the rooftop. Either way, work needs to be done and setup is still in progress, so pair up with other TWAT members or whatever to get things ready. Thanks, Scott appreciates it. Probably.
Also, if you have your own food or brought a game of some sort, that's cool. He definitely isn't going to say no. Go set that up.]
just hanging out;
[Once the meeting starts and Scott gives some basic speech and welcoming new people to TWAT Club (in which he wasn't nervous at all shut up), people are more than welcome to just eat the pretty decent spread laid out in the tables. Stuff like chips, pizza, rice balls, ramen, probably some mixture of American and Japanese food because he's him and his girlfriend is Kotone, so yeah. There's also a little sign or note in front of the tables that states 'provided by cooking club, so join us. ✨'
Since this is a place filled with teenagers and abilities... Scott probably has encouraged people to show off their powers a little. JUST DON'T BLOW SOMETHING UP it's okay, he's talking about himself too. Of course, he's not forcing anyone to show off their powers and everything, but he sort of hopes people are feeling more comfortable to do so. That is the purpose of his club and everything.
There's also a random cornhole game set up. Don't ask.]
after club;
[Feel like being a nice person and help clean up? Nice. Scott isn't forcing anyone to stay after to do so, but he appreciates the help. It's mostly just taking tables down and clearing out the trash. Anyone that stays can probably take home some of the leftovers. So, that's a nice bonus.
Maybe you just want to sit on the ground and enjoy the evening a little. He's not judging.]
[ooc: TWAT mingle log! Please feel free to post your own top levels and tag each other. :> If your character would bring food or set something up, go right ahead. The more the better, right? Also your character doesn't need to be part of TWAT to join, Scott will just sort of let any teenager in. 'Teenager' being anyone that doesn't look too much like an oldie--]

[Except maybe the AI here might be a version of Logic. Multiverse stuff was weird.]
no subject
[ She shrugs a little bit. ]
This place has proven to know everything about our memories and who we are, right? Since it's shown stuff like that to us and to others at times. That might mean it also knows more about our worlds than we do.

Why do you think you wouldn't understand? [ Sure, Levi's words imply that it's because he thinks he's too dumb for it, but Ange doesn't just want to accept something like that. All the real idiots out there never know they're dumb. ] Wouldn't you know better about your own circumstances than anyone else here? I'm sure that you could understand it if you put your mind to it. You shouldn't give up before you've even started.

[Levi is of average intelligence, but due to limited schooling, low self esteem and no one ever really believing in him being able to do things he's convinced he's a moron.]
Its fine, though. I don't really need to be very smart.
[He's come to terms with it, but its still kinda depressing sometimes. Or frustrating. Though something the frustration comes from people trying to tell him he's wrong about that.]
no subject
Yeah, that sure sounds like an issue, Levi. Ange can't be sure what lies at its roots, but as someone who was constantly told negative things about herself as a child, Ange can make a pretty decent guess, at least.
Not that she speaks up with that right away. She knows people don't like it when you poke a little too directly at their issues like that. She doesn't really like it either, after all. So-- ]
That's kind of a weird way to describe yourself, you know. Did you think of that?

no subject
You wouldn't want to trust them with anything important, right?
no subject
Probably not, but I don't think I'd be able to handle a lot of important things anyway. All I really know is how to shoot things.
no subject
Now you're making yourself sound like a child soldier.
cw: kids sent to war
I am--uh, was, I guess, a child soldier. I was conscripted when I was 13.
no subject
[ .. So it's exactly that, huh.
Ange doesn't sound particularly surprised or embarrassed by her social faux pas though, instead just blinking a few times as she takes in this information. ]
Well, that explains a lot. I don't imagine they're exactly nice to you in the military. [ Not that she has any personal experience with it, but it's not a very difficult thing to imagine.. ]
no subject
[Unlike how the meaness at the orphanage didn't seem to have a point.]
no subject
It doesn't seem like the sort of thing that would keep anyone alive all by itself, except maybe for someone who's living out of sheer spite. ]
They could treat you kindly in the military and you'd still live, I assume. It's just that it seems like the sort of institution that doesn't care about that in the first place.
no subject
You're talking about a country that pulled kids in to fight and die for them. You expect them to give a shit? It became clear pretty quickly we were just toys to throw around wherever for them. Nobody fucking cares for the enlisted men unless they're other enlisted men.
no subject
Especially if they're sending kids, of all things. Ange is pretty sure even the Japanese military isn't doing that, at least, even though society still sucks in every other way where she comes from. ]
Oh, I don't expect them to.
[ She definitely sounds like she has absolutely zero faith in even the very idea.. ]
I'm just saying there's always a choice to treat people better. It's just that not a single society out there cares enough to actually go for that choice, especially when it's more expensive or cumbersome for them in some way.
