TWAT club meeting mingle

Who: Scott Summers and members of TWAT (Teenagers With Abilities and Talents) Club. Or any teenager that just stops by really.
Where: Roof of the club building
What: Teenagers with abilities or maybe no real abilities hanging out on the rooftop and eating food. Talking. Doing club stuff.
Warnings: Probably none.


[Maybe you're already part of TWAT club and read the message that Scott sent out to everyone, basically stating that they're having a meeting this Saturday to just hang out and meet new members. Or you saw one of the flyers around town that mentioned about having a meeting. Either way, the meeting is held at the rooftop of the club building, so just come. No food or anything required. He's a good leader like that, yeah. Definitely.]

[Why did you come early, god.

Well, anyone that is one of those people that like to come early to events, Scott's putting you to work. Maybe it's just helping getting the food out on the tables, or bringing up chairs or tables up to the rooftop. Either way, work needs to be done and setup is still in progress, so pair up with other TWAT members or whatever to get things ready. Thanks, Scott appreciates it. Probably.

Also, if you have your own food or brought a game of some sort, that's cool. He definitely isn't going to say no. Go set that up.]

[Once the meeting starts and Scott gives some basic speech and welcoming new people to TWAT Club (in which he wasn't nervous at all shut up), people are more than welcome to just eat the pretty decent spread laid out in the tables. Stuff like chips, pizza, rice balls, ramen, probably some mixture of American and Japanese food because he's him and his girlfriend is Kotone, so yeah. There's also a little sign or note in front of the tables that states 'provided by cooking club, so join us. ✨'

Since this is a place filled with teenagers and abilities... Scott probably has encouraged people to show off their powers a little. JUST DON'T BLOW SOMETHING UP it's okay, he's talking about himself too. Of course, he's not forcing anyone to show off their powers and everything, but he sort of hopes people are feeling more comfortable to do so. That is the purpose of his club and everything.

There's also a random cornhole game set up. Don't ask.]

[Feel like being a nice person and help clean up? Nice. Scott isn't forcing anyone to stay after to do so, but he appreciates the help. It's mostly just taking tables down and clearing out the trash. Anyone that stays can probably take home some of the leftovers. So, that's a nice bonus.

Maybe you just want to sit on the ground and enjoy the evening a little. He's not judging.]

[He watched a couple people doing it and it looked interesting.]

I mean, I don't mind games so...yeah.

I see. [Naoto was just a stick in the mud.] It seems like something they'd set up for a group younger than ourselves...

[Then she had a sneezing fit.]

[He's the one who set it up, after all and maybe it's an American thing.]

[She was prephared. She had handkerchiefs, even if she'd nearly tossed it mid-sneeze. So many little squeaks.]

I... I'm alright. [She just needed a moment or two. Hiding her face under the brim of her cap.] Thank you though. [Then she sighed, mumbling slightly.]

I'm not sure why they wanted me here so badly...

Well, are you part of the club?

[It's always a little awkward, saying the name.]

I know Scott's kind of big on making sure everyone attends.

I'm not. Though I think they might be trying to make me a member. Multiple people were rather insistent that I attend. [She was still new to this whole 'casual social gathering' thing. She was trying to be better but this was an almost overwhelming amount of information.]

Apparently they thought it'd be 'good for me'...

Y-yeah, I know that feeling. But I think just by being here, you're already a member. It doesn't really seem to have much more requirements than that.


[He's quiet for a moment.]

Guess you can take that as a warning.

But were you part of any clubs before you got here?

[Oh no. Well... At least after the first time coming here, if she came back she'd at least know people. Instead of mostly being left to her own devices with strangers.]

No. I wasn't. I've never stayed in one place long enough to consider it.

Were you?

Not really...but not because I moved around or anything.

[He's quiet for a moment.]

People just usually didn't want me around in them.

[Who wants to hang out with Loser Tsuna after all?]

[Some might take the moment of silence as a hint to change the topic.

But those people had tact and were not Naoto.]

Really? Why not?

[He seemed nice enough. Even if he'd beaned her in the head.]

[Tsuna just kind of grimaces.]

I'm, uh...not the best at a lot of things.

Sports, especially. I used to kind of guarantee a loss.

[It's not as bad as it was.]

It was just easier to not try and join a club.

[Ah, Naoto just gave a small, knowing nod. Yeah, she wasn't that good at sports either, she could run but... her favorite sport was Billards. ]

Surely you could join a club that did not involve sport?

[Because it sounded like he wanted to be in one, he just lacked the skills for some of them.]

Not really. I wasn't really good at school or anything either. And I tend to just cause trouble, so people didn't really want me around.

[He'd gathered a bit of a reputation as a loser. But things are better now.]

But yeah, joining clubs didn't really suit me.

[Okay, that one got a stare.]

You don't look like a troublemaker. [Bluntly. He looked rather...plain really. And he spoke politely enough. It wasn't like Kanji, prone to speaking too loudly and swearing, scaring people off.]

I swear I'm not.

[Really, he isn't.]

But when you're really clumsy and people think you're a loser...yeah.

[Just more staring. Uh... That sounded a lot like bullying.]

I see. Have you been okay while you're here?

[theskyaccepts]

Huh? Oh...yeah! I've been fine!

A lot of that was in the past, and things are a lot better now. And while I miss my family a lot, this place has been alright for the most part.

[Minus all the, you know, weird shit and crimes and everything.]

I think your prior issues, might not have been with yourself... [She sniffed. Bringing her handkerchief up to rub her nose as she looked over the roof.]

It is oddly peaceful here.

I guess, and it's nice of you to say that, but I'd rather just focus on the future.
