TWAT club meeting mingle

Who: Scott Summers and members of TWAT (Teenagers With Abilities and Talents) Club. Or any teenager that just stops by really.
Where: Roof of the club building
What: Teenagers with abilities or maybe no real abilities hanging out on the rooftop and eating food. Talking. Doing club stuff.
Warnings: Probably none.


[Maybe you're already part of TWAT club and read the message that Scott sent out to everyone, basically stating that they're having a meeting this Saturday to just hang out and meet new members. Or you saw one of the flyers around town that mentioned about having a meeting. Either way, the meeting is held at the rooftop of the club building, so just come. No food or anything required. He's a good leader like that, yeah. Definitely.]

[Why did you come early, god.

Well, anyone that is one of those people that like to come early to events, Scott's putting you to work. Maybe it's just helping getting the food out on the tables, or bringing up chairs or tables up to the rooftop. Either way, work needs to be done and setup is still in progress, so pair up with other TWAT members or whatever to get things ready. Thanks, Scott appreciates it. Probably.

Also, if you have your own food or brought a game of some sort, that's cool. He definitely isn't going to say no. Go set that up.]

[Once the meeting starts and Scott gives some basic speech and welcoming new people to TWAT Club (in which he wasn't nervous at all shut up), people are more than welcome to just eat the pretty decent spread laid out in the tables. Stuff like chips, pizza, rice balls, ramen, probably some mixture of American and Japanese food because he's him and his girlfriend is Kotone, so yeah. There's also a little sign or note in front of the tables that states 'provided by cooking club, so join us. ✨'

Since this is a place filled with teenagers and abilities... Scott probably has encouraged people to show off their powers a little. JUST DON'T BLOW SOMETHING UP it's okay, he's talking about himself too. Of course, he's not forcing anyone to show off their powers and everything, but he sort of hopes people are feeling more comfortable to do so. That is the purpose of his club and everything.

There's also a random cornhole game set up. Don't ask.]

[Feel like being a nice person and help clean up? Nice. Scott isn't forcing anyone to stay after to do so, but he appreciates the help. It's mostly just taking tables down and clearing out the trash. Anyone that stays can probably take home some of the leftovers. So, that's a nice bonus.

Maybe you just want to sit on the ground and enjoy the evening a little. He's not judging.]

"Uh, its a club that gets together and cooks, actually." Levi speaks up, breaking from his stunned silence at seeing how eager Elizabeth was to try all the food.

A club that gets together. So there are other clubs. Elizabeth has never seen a piece of wood cook before.

"So there is more than one club that does the cooking. Are they enchanted clubs then?"

"Um." What? "A-a club in this sense is a group of people that get together for a specific reason or have something in common. T-this is sort of a club meeting for, um, TWAT club."

"So not a chunk of wood you hit food with."

She looks kind of disappointed at that, "I just smelled something good and came in to figure out what it is. Are you a member of this club?"

"N-not in this case. And, uh...yeah. B-both the cooking club and this one." Though he's been bribed into joining the first and signed up for this one without his consent, neither were too bad.

"I see. I have... Just found myself here recently. I don't suppose you know much about this place other than clubs."

She looks around, "Are there any that are devoted to combat? Or magic?"

[solitarysoul]

"I don't really know the clubs that well, so I don't know. I guess this is teenagers with abilities and that counts magic but that doesn't seem to be the focus. Scott or Kotone would know more. I think Kotone runs a lot of clubs."

"I see."

She wrinkles her nose a bit, "So it is age based. Time is such an odd thing."

"Yeah...its probably just a 'we don't want adults to tell us what to do' thing." Levi hadn't really had trouble with that in a few years. He was often the oldest person around.

Elizabeth tilts her head, "Is that a thing that happens often? I know my master was quite old, but we listened to him by his power. If you simply looked at his nose, you knew that he was destined for leadership."

[solitarysoul]

"Yeah, a lot of places adults think they know better than kids, even if the younger people have learned or experienced a lot. I dunno why."

She shrugs a bit, "I know relatively little about humanity. Learning is why I left my former master so... Your guess is as good as mine. Perhaps it has to do with power. I've seen that many problems are due to obsessions over that."

[solitarysoul]

"Oh, you aren't human?" Wait, shit, was that rude? "Um, I mean, sorry...I couldn't tell.

"But, yeah, power can change people."

Sorry about the delay, getting used to the new job's hours.

"Does it matter if I am human or not? I am me."

She shrugs at that, "And yes, power will do that among many other things."

"Not really, I was just surprised. I didn't know some non-humans looked like humans."

"I was created to.... Assist humans, or at least one human. I suppose it makes things easier."

She shrugs a bit, "My second guest was fashioned as a human for similar reasons, though I believe since she was made by humans, it was the simplest way to understand."

"People make people to help other people?" Okay that was a mouthful but he's not sure how he feels about that. But its not like it was much different than just plucking a kid up and molding him how you wanted.

"Um, if its not too, uh, personal or whatever...what sort of assistance were you supposed to provide?"

"My master created us, as his master created him. To... Keep certain games from getting too heavily weighted on one side."

She shrugs, "I kept a log of all the persona my guest's soul could use."

He's heard that word 'persona' before but he doesn't really get it. That was when the people summoned monsters, right? Something like that.

"What kind of games?"

"The ones bored gods play against each other using humanity."

She shakes her head slightly, "There are... Far more of those than should be allowed."

He frowns. He was intimately familiar with that sort of game. "Yeah," he says, bitterly, "even one is too many."

Was she like a Pocketcat or Per'kele? She didn't seem quite like them.

"My guest... Played a role in one created by mankind who decided to use the pieces Nyarlahothep used in the last game for... Selfish reasons."

She shakes her head, "Even in winning mankind lost too much. Dealing with the things unleashed and unable to be cleaned up is why I left."

"I don't think you can really win something like that. Its good that you were able to leave."

"Loss would involve every human dying."

She shrugs, "I admit though, I do miss my brother and sister... And haven't the slightest idea how to fix the problem I set out to."

"That's not really surprising. Er, not for me. I was in one. The whole town went crazy; Rher just wanted everyone to kill each other until only one person was left."
