[She doesn't mind Quill! He's literally golden retriever energy, so she hates to think what the alternative could be. But that just goes to show, the same person is never the same across dimensions.
Proof of that was sitting right next to her, too. Even when he does remind her of her Peter (which is often), he's still different, too. More confident and charismatic, for sure. Comparing him to Peter B and the Peter of Miles' world was even more drastic. Weird, how they could have such similar stories and backgrounds, and be so different.]
When I crossed dimensions last time, I was pulled through a portal, and it definitely looked like a web in that inter-dimensional space. So, it checks out.

(with very good reason to be, too!
he's glad she's close, he's not moving the arm on top of the couch, but he is offering his hand for a shake.)
Well, see, onto something, and also, space, so, two birds, right?
no subject
She chuckles, though, taking his hand and giving it a proper shake.]
So, we're even then? Two very accomplished, very experienced Spider-people.
[don't mind her if she doesn't exactly let go of his hand though.]

(that goofy smile is out, it was a great fight, and it was fun in a way that he really didn't want to win. it wasn't in his brain, he just-- was enjoying it.)
no subject
[goddamn that smile. it's sweet, and his eyes carry such a kindness. the feeling it all gives her is confusing as hell. she hasn't known him long, but she knows she already values him more than a person should, in a situation like this.]
no subject
(oh, the hand is still in his. that's... that's nice. it brings a little flush of red to the freckled skin, and an embarrassed laugh. should he... should he let go...)
no subject
Alright, sure. You definitely have me there.
[He was such a dork. But a really sweet dork, at least.]
You know, I should probably-- head to bed. Lots of work to do tomorrow, soo-- yeah. But, um. Thanks. For tonight. This was a lot of fun.
[She gives that hand she's still holding a squeeze, and it's probably against her better judgement, but she moves forward to give him a quick peck to his cheek.]
no subject
(but that's where he fucks up, because he wasn't expecting the peck. that very moment, he turns to face her for the confirmation, and it turns into a peck to the corner of his lips.
for a moment, he's frozen, processing, processing, did he fuck this up, crap, crap, crap.
and you know what. if she kissed him first, this might not be so bad. he'll approach her for an intentional kiss to her lips.)
no subject
[shit. fuck. dammit. whoops. that was-- not what was supposed to happen.
she's just as frozen as he is, unsure how to proceed either, but then he presses his lips into hers for real, and she...doesn't resist. she leans into it, kissing him in return, very no thoughts head empty over here.]
