Where: One of Aldrip's garden areas
What: A simple barbecue picnic meant as a welcome to newcomers and a chance to relax for the Chosen veterans.

1. In full bloom

With the spring in full swing now, it's a perfect chance to stop and take a look at the flora that Aldrip has to offer. The park area might not be the most well-tended greenery spot out there, but it's still a nice place to spend some time at. Like promised, Mitama has brought and set up multiple blankets, and there are even several hammocks hanging between the trees. Anyone is welcome to sit down, have a meal, chat with others or even take a nap ─ how you want to spend the time here is entirely up to you! Overall, you'll find some lovely scenery here, with flowers blooming and sun shining. What better place to have a picnic at?

Of course, the pretty sights might start causing some trouble once the pollen is taken into account...

2. Food for thought

Now, for the real reason you've all come here: free food! There are several tables, barbecues, and even a fire pit set up for all your picnic needs. That includes both ingredients, in case the last month's cooking adventures weren't enough for you, as well as pre-made dishes for everyone to enjoy! Some of them are store-bought, but others look a little... suspicious. They look more or less like they're supposed to, but the colors, the texture and the choice of flavor combinations are... questionable, to say the least. That's right, Miss Coordinator herself has decided to double-down after her lack of success in the competition last month and brought something... new and exciting to the table. We're talking absolutely smashing offerings, such as sausages with peanut butter and raspberry jam, rice balls stuffed with tuna and chocolate, and the exclusive mustard and banana pancakes. If any poor soul feels brave enough to try them, they're free to do so, but those who prefer to survive this picnic are recommended to pick something else.

Some simple utensils are provided, too, along with drinks ─ but sadly no alcohol, you're gonna have to bring that yourselves.

3. It's all fun and games

But what's a picnic without some entertainment? Aside from food, some tables also feature a selection of books, chess and board games to engage all you nerds─ I mean, intellectual types. For those who'd prefer to take advantage of the sunny weather to spend their time in a more active way, there's a small variety of sports equipment (think dodgeball, soccer, jumping rope, maybe even baseball if you want to get fancy) available to get you moving!

All of the equipment is provided free of charge (gasp), but there are notes asking to take care of it properly and make sure it remains usable and available for other people. So please don't get any silly ideas about those baseball bats. Miss Coordinator will know.

[Yosuke just sighs, slumping forward slightly as he shakes his head.]

You're not helpful at all...

[not that he expected to have it all make sense, anyway.]

You can't even explain it.

She looks at Yosuke and tilts her head, "The Velvet room is really only for those who have signed a contract. Let me assure you that it is not an exclusive club or anything and the attendant is chosen for the guest."

"As for the time or odd memories thing... How do you expect someone to explain something they don't really understand?"

[he still looks a little suspicious in her description of the Velvet Room.]

See, now you're just making it sound dirty...

Like someone definitely bangs each other in there.

Bang? OH! FIGHT! Well, I mean it'd be messy... But she things Margaret mentioned something about it. Though Elizabeth, she'd rather fight in the real world, more real there.

"Dirty! Never! We endeavor to keep it clean... Oh! Most definitely on the bangs though! There are combat challenges set up in my sister's room, but... Not in the one I hosted. There is banging, and powing, and even perhaps a zokko! or two in her's! Though that is between her and the Sister Complex Kingpin of Steel."

[he's about to lose his shit when he realizes what she might be referring to.]

Wait, wait. Are you talking about... fighting??

[he sure hope she is. otherwise would that mean that Yu's into hitting people while doing the deed???]

Elizabeth tilts her head and looks at Yosuke oddly, is he mad, is he derranged? Was he not talking about fighting? What else would go bang? Explosives? That is completely uncivil and definitely not it.

"What else would I be talking about?"

Uh...

[there's a long silence. a really long silence.

and then he laughs nervously.]

Maybe... maybe we should just let it go.

"So you are saying that your leader and my sister did not fight. I understand. That is probably the best way not to die."

She shivers, "I do not even have the strength to challenge her directly. It is why I left when no one was looking."

Uh... I dunno.

[he's really confused now. he's going to have to text Yu later, probably.]

You left? What's that even mean?? You came here by yourself?

"Came here? Oh not willingly. I am still uncertain how I got here."

She ponders a bit, "I was leaving the last ordeal in that town... I don't know its name but your TV world was there. And upon stepping into what I thought was the sea of the soul, I was here."

She shrugs, "I do not know either!"

Inaba?

[... he rubs his eyeballs. this is a conversation that's kind of hard to follow, so he's gotta really think about what she's saying here.]

Okay. So you didn't come here on purpose, but you left the whatever you come from willingly? How?

"Inaba... Is a place named for the rabbit in the moon really its name? Fascinating."

She ponders, waves her arms a bit then lets out a small sigh, "You were able to slip into limited parts of the sea of the soul by going through a television from what I understand. I have been trained to slip from one world to the other wherever I choose. Just... I can not do it here. Were it possible, I may have already left."

Yeah, that's Inaba.

[... oh. that makes a lot more sense.

Yosuke nods a little bit, crossing his arms.]

I'd thought at some point it was something like the TV world, especially considering how many of us Persona users are here. But it's not, obviously. Whatever powers anyone might have to leave this place doesn't exist here.

"From what I understand of your TV world, it is merely a spot in the greater sea of the soul. Think of it as a building, like.... I was at a mall once, something like that may be a good way of looking at it. Each shadow creates its own small realm, much like a store, or a club, and there is a central area like a fountain plaza to access them all."

She stops and clasps her hands together, "Oh I wonder, IS there a fountain? I would think the spirits there would be much more receptive to granting wishes for coin! Still there is no den of shadows here to ransack for the money to make such a wish. Oh well!"

Clearing her throat she stops, "But either way, I suspect this may be another such place, or a nexus as those are places too. Just I lack the understanding of how to get into the back places to navigate it freely."
