Where: A handful of locations around Aldrip
What: Akira and Goro have decided to do some people-watching to determine the identity of Gogol's farce to fake his death.
Warnings: There's a closed prompt that's gonna result in half a centimeter from death, but otherwise the only real warnings are that Goro and Gogol are involved in this log. ...probably a lot of innuendo and stupid teenager bullshittery, also.



[Picture this; it's a normal Wednesday in Aldrip, the weather is reasonable, you're going about your daily life. There's been some craziness lately, hasn't there? Some clown stole some organs, some people got messed up getting those organs back, and then some more people got messed up killing the clown. Yikes!]

[What you may not realize, is during the Killing of the Clown™️, some more things were stolen. Goro took it upon himself to steal Gogol's cloak and tablet, and... Well. As it turned out, Gogol's death was merely temporary, try as he might to convince others he was gone for good. He'd like his things back, but he's currently under the guise of an unassuming Salaryman...,]

[Cut back to this perfectly pleasant, normal Wednesday! Goro Akechi has opted to attempt to sniff out Gogol's trickery, once and for all. With the help of his partner (in crime and everything else), they have stationed themselves in separate areas of the city, connected by a seemlingly innocuous phone call, enjoying the weather and doing some good old-fashioned detective work by way of people watching. What could possibly go wrong?]

[Akira shakes with a silent huff of laughter, dropping his head so his curls lay on Yu's shoulder.] Good thing I'm good at lockpicks.

[He drones a curious hum, nodding. After a thoughtful silence, he frowns and looks up and over at him.] You have any outliers in the general scheme of it? You said you awakened a little differently... did anyone else, or were they mostly formulaic?

[A chuckle.] Phantom Thieves, right? I thought you'd be stealing treasures, not secrets.

[Ah. That's quite a question. He wasn't there to see Namatame or Adachi's awakening, but he imagines...it was probably similar to his own, even if they didn't have the Wildcard ability he does.] The rest of my team was pretty formulaic. But since none of them shook hands with a goddess at a gas station, I guess that makes sense.

[This is a sane way to word all of that, for sure.]

[He snorts, laughing briefly and giving Yu an incredulous look.] Goddess at a gas station??

Hey, I understood that one. [Listen, Yu knows basically nothing about Spanish. English? Sure. French? A bit, why not. But Spanish?? ...at least his knowledge of memes pre-2012 isn't so bad.]

I didn't realize he was a goddess at the time. [Look. Listen. Gender, amirite??] ...it was a convincing disguise.

[Akira barks a short little laugh, reaching over and clapping Yu on the shoulder.] An oldie but a goodie.

[Akira knows a thing or two about Gender, it's true. He grins, nodding.] Arsène just spoke to me in my head because I was pissed off a shitty teacher was about to have a sentient suit of armor cut my friend in half. ...which I guess doesn't really sound any less insane than Goddess At A Gas Station.
