[Comes the immediate, sarcastic response, before Scott sighs and shakes his head, resisting the urge to pull a knee up in his chair. It's not like he's the one that lost control of himself and everything, so there's no reason for him to act like that. It's just... this is just all dumb and awkward and even if they don't get along a lot of the time, it's not like he wants to see him like this.

Also maybe he wants to hear from Akechi's point of view of what went down. If he's willing to talk about it at all. At least the detective won't be feeling waves of disapproval or anger from Scott, just that he's frowning.]

Just... wanted to see how you were doing, I guess. [He raises a hand, as if stopping Akechi from responding before he can get the rest of his comments out.] And yeah, I know you're feeling like shit. But I'm still checking anyway, okay?

[His brows knit into a confused frown as he stares up at Scott as if he had troubles following the words said to him. Akechi parts his lips to say something but is interrupted before he gets as much as a peep out of him. He closes his lips and just keeps looking at Scott, hazy eyes round and big.

A good moment passes before he moves again. He shifts on the mattress, or at least tries to but is held back by the straps around his wrists and ankles.]

I'm going to kill you. [He says, voice as much full of conviction as he can muster to it.]

[Scott nearly rolls his eyes at the comment, not taking him seriously at all. Yeah, hello to you too, Akechi. It does make him feel relieved though, despite the detective's words, because it means that he's probably recovering and can at least recognize him. He's noticed how his eyes are still kind of... cloudy and shit, probably on some heavy medicine, but. Recovering still.]

You really are a pain in the ass.
