Haven't seen it before! [a cheerful voice informs him from behind. There's a beat, as if she's waiting to see if the voice alone sparks a memory, before the owner of the voice skips around to his front and offers a hand with a bright smile.]
Here, grab hold. Maybe I can pull you out!
[Having been in Aldrip for a full year now, Kotone doesn't make a habit of wearing her full SEES uniform, but mostly-hidden beneath her skirt is a holster, one that looks suspiciously like someone modified one meant for wearing around the waist in an attempt to make it more subtle. She doesn't go anywhere without her Evoker these days.]
(It's a shame that burying others is a relatively new thing starting with himself, had it been something widespread Akihiko would have had a good reason to go and sort the problem out at the source. But it seems that this is a one-off for no discernible reason and for now it's easier to focus on the current situation; taking the offered hand as the boxer pulls himself out from the ground with some effort.)
Appreciated.
(Akihiko falls silent as he begins to brush dirt and leaves from his uniform, nose wrinkling as petals fall from his hair with the motions. He spotted something from his vantage point of the ground that looked familiar, but taking a second look hadn't been on the cards, not if he wanted a boot to the face. As for Kotone herself, there's no familiarity, just a hint of curiosity as to who his saviour is.)
It's a subtle shift as her face falls, her smile no longer quite reaching her eyes at the clear lack of recognition, but she continues smiling nonetheless. It's not Akihiko's fault that he doesn't remember her, even though she has the stuffed rabbit he'd given her the last time they'd hung out alone. Maybe she should have expected that he'd be just like Mitsuru and Shinji, and not know her at all. He must be Minato's Akihiko-senpai -- or rather, he should be Sanada-senpai for her, right?
At least having royally fucked up her first meeting with Shinji a few months ago had prepared her for this kind of situation, so while it still hurts, it's not confusing.]
It's called Aldrip. Can I ask what you were doing before you got here?
[What's the last thing he remembers? It's important to know.]
(Something has changed, somehow, Akihiko knows that much. But as to what he has no idea, unable to read the situation in the midst of all the chaos that's currently happening. The fact that someone could know him so well without him knowing them at all has no reason to cross his mind, though he does raise his eyebrows before focusing back on the conversation at hand.
The last thing he remembered before waking up was the date, 31st of January, of finally approaching a battle with Nyx. Landing in this place at such a time is awful on so many levels and Akihiko's fists briefly clench before he relaxes them.)
[His suspicion hurts. As much as it's justified, the suspicion from the other SEES members is something she doesn't think she'll ever really be able to get used to. It had been hard enough from Shinji, but now Akihiko, too? Still, her smile doesn't waver, even as she clasps her hands tightly behind her back and squeezes them to make sure none of that emotion shows on her face.]
My name's Kotone Shiomi. [Trying to lie to Shinji about it had made it worse, so maybe for once, it's better to be honest...?] I know you don't know me, but... I was the leader of SEES.
[Her fingernails bite into her opposite hands behind her back, but she keeps smiling.]
It's okay if you don't believe me, though! I probably wouldn't.
( Of all the answers, the one Kotone gives is the least expected and suspicion gives away to shock. He doesn't remember Kotone Shiomi as the leader of SEES, but what makes it all the stranger is that the young woman seems to understand that too. I know you don't know me.
There's a moment of silence as Akihiko tries to work it out, the confusion palpable in the air. Why would anyone claim to be a leader of SEES? Especially if no-one knew them? The mystery of that alone outweighs the suspicion of it all, though Akihiko concedes he can't work this out. He's barely working out where he is, let alone this and he bites back an impatient sigh. Finding the others and the exit is the priority. )
Then you'll know when I say the date is January 31st?
[Her eyes widen briefly, and she just nods, not entirely sure what to think of it. Mitsuru had only remembered up to their class trip in Kyoto. Shinjiro hadn't known anything about that, of course. Minato knew up to the same point she did, and Ken had been from two years later. Coming from the 31st of January, though...]
It's April here. [That seems the easiest way to get around it, because she has no idea if it would be good to tell him how it went. The whole time, she hasn't lost her smile, but she does tilt her head a bit in offer for them to start walking.] C'mon, I'll show you around. Don't worry, you didn't miss the battle. Time doesn't really work right here.
( There's a good chunk of silence as Akihiko digests that piece of information as well as he can. April. It could mean one of two things; that Kotone Shiomi was from the April before, or that the world didn't suddenly stop on January 31st. Studying her expression doesn't give credence to either option and Akihiko simply sighs, giving a small smile. He'll take it as after, for his own sanity. )
Alright then. I'll have to take your word for it. ( Knowing that time runs differently is a small relief, though Akihiko doesn't fully understand it just yet. ) There's a lot to see around here?
[She can't help but let out a little sigh of relief that he doesn't press the point further. Like, yeah, she could explain, but there's no reason for him to believe her at all. It'll probably make more sense for him to hear from Mitsuru or Minato or Shinji.
...Should she tell him about Shinji? Should she tell Shinji about him? It's probably best if they run into each other on their own, though, she's pretty sure. They'll have a way of finding each other! And if she doesn't want to explain about the differences between his memories of SEES leaders, she definitely doesn't want to explain why it's possible for Shinji to be here, either.]
The town's really expanded recently. You have your Evoker, right? [If he's from the 31st, she'd hope so.] I wouldn't say it's super-dangerous, but we've had to fight before. You should be able to summon your Persona no problem!

Depends on who wants to know and why?
