Who: kakashi and YOU???
Where: kakashi's camp in the woods
What: this is primarily for people who knew kakashi in the au to catch up with him. if you interacted with him positively in any way during the au you can assume your character knows where to find him.
Warnings: none that i know of
[kakashi's "hideout" in the woods looks the same as ever, blankets piled up in a sleeping area and a pot hanging over the remains of a campfire. rather than tending the fire, however, kakashi can be found fussing over the blankets, tearing down the colorful scarves that were previously used to decorate the surrounding trees, or just outside the camp pondering the childish traps he had set.
as for his appearance, it is mostly the same, though now a black mask covers the lower half of his face and a blue band with a metal plate sewn into it adorns his forehead. on the metal plate is a familiar symbol of a spiraling leaf, known to anyone who knows kakashi's former penchant for tagging buildings in town.]

[dry, again. kakashi starts gathering up the scarves on the ground, more to have something to do than any urgent need to clean them up.]
If you don't mind me asking, what's that thing on your back?
[kakashi has no concept of what a gun is.]
no subject
It's my rifle. A gun.
no subject
Some kind of weapon?
no subject
Yeah, a long range weapon. Stronger than a bow.
no subject
[that would be convenient, to say the least. not that many ninja bother to use bows and arrows, typically preferring throwing knifes or senbon.]
no subject
no subject
[and he does sound like it interests him.]
Are those typical around here? Or just where you're from?
no subject
[He frowns, remembering the bruising he got when he was just starting.]
It took me awhile to get used to it.
no subject
[this surprises him. he didn't think you could fit something like that into a device so narrow.]
no subject
no subject
Well, I'm no explosions expert. [that would be obito.] So I'll not worry about it.
no subject
There are a lot of people here who know how to use them, its not something you need to get involved with unless you want to.
[Kakashi's probably more of a close range fighter...or an ambush one with how he was acting.]
If you ever change your mind I don't mind showing you some stuff.
[The last colorful banner he can reach from the tree he's in drops to the ground and Levi climbs down after it. He scans the trees for his next target.]
no subject
[kakashi has been gathering the scarves as they fell, and putting them in a pile in a cleared out spot near the fire pit. there's only one tree left with scarves in it, and as levi speaks to him kakashi casually walks up to it, and then up it, to reach them.]
I prefer a more intimate meeting on the battlefield.
no subject
I guess I can understand that. We didn't get much chance to get up close where I came from. Not in large battles, at least.
[He got all too close to things during Termina.]
no subject
[that's kakashi's takeaway, anyway. he's not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
he hops down from the tree, adding the new collection of scarves to the pile.]
Now for the fun part.
[he gestures politely for levi to back away from the rag pile.]
no subject
[Well, wars existed before guns or even bows, but it certainly didn't make killing people harder.
He backs away from the pile.]
The fun part?
no subject
Sure, fire is fun. Don't you think?
no subject
That's one way to get rid of them.
[He grins. A pretty fast way. Maybe not the safest but Kakashi didn't seem like the type to let it spread.
He considers quipping that it was too bad they didn't have marshmallows to roast but figures that's too childish of an activity and might offend the small ninja.]
So this is where you live in real life? [Or whatever this was.] Or just a temporary base?
no subject
Just temporary 'til I get on my feet.
[he didn't realize there were free rooms at the inn when he arrived, so he simply treated it like a mission and camped out.]
I have to admit, it's much nicer now that the snow is gone.
no subject
Apparently houses are easy to get--uh. We'll, they were before...all that. I haven't bothered.
Heh, much nicer when it's warmer, that's for sure. I think we have power again.
[He assumes. Those signs in the entertainment district looked like they needed it.]
no subject
[he shrugs.]
Power is good. That means heat for when the cold weather returns.
no subject
A whole house is too much for me, but there are people who don't mind it.
[Maybe apartments existed here now. That'd be better than the inn.]
Yeah. I guess there were a lot of people who knew how to deal with it, but I'd rather just have heating or air-conditioning if I can get it.
no subject
[it's not that common where he's from.]
