[He's minding his own business, probably headed to work because even unknowingly in an AU, he still has to work at least three part-time jobs. Just yesterday, he'd found something odd of his own, and Haru's familiar poof of coral-curled hair came up in his mind's eye. He's met her, of course, she's the soft-spoken daughter of that food company guy. Haru, like spring.]
[Except he couldn't remember why Haru meant spring, because Japanese wasn't the native tongue of Aldrip.]
[He just watches her from across the street at first, even if he stops walking to wherever he's going because she's acting a little strange, and he worries about everyone constantly. When she drops the watering can he doesn't really consciously make the decision, but he sprints across the street to her, crouching to pick up the can and offer it back to her.] You dropped this, [Quietly, curiously.]
[The watering can isn't overtly specific to himself, but it's like the memories for Haru bled into it and then into his fingertips, and he scrunches his face up looking at it. The fuck? He blinks, and the street around them becomes Shujin, and Haru is in red and white track pants. Suddenly he finds himself wanting to ask her about carrots.]
[Her question startles him back to the present, to Aldrip, and Shujin melts away around the edges of his vision like the transition to the Metaverse. It makes him a little nauseous, and he reaches out to gingerly grasp Haru's elbow. After a beat of silence, he squeezes.]
[He rarely understands what's happening, Haru, don't rely on his understanding of a situation.]
[He nods, steering them to the bench, and makes sure she's seated and stable before joining her. He straightens up just slightly from his worn out slouch when she questions him, nodding.]
[Perfect, because she doesn't possibly expect him to understand this situation. She was so sure that she could come out on top mentally. She did it before, with a lot of coercing.
..but she has just one concern.]
Something just seems so strange, lately. But I've no idea what it is. Maybe I am just tired, or something.

[Shouldn't he be wearing glasses?]

Or Shujin? Wait, Shujin isn’t Aldrip and she’s not in her little sun dress, and her billowing sun hat. Instead… ]
Thank you.
[She blinks, once…twice…she takes the watering can back.]
Aki..ra? What’s happening?
[ Her quaint little life suddenly feels like a huge lie!]

I'unno, but maybe we should sit down.

But that feels like her fear creeping up on her.]
Lets sit.
[ She gestures over towards a bench.]
Can I ask you something, Akira?
