[open mingle] dazai's radio show - live and in person -
Who: yall
Where: Bar Lupin
What: An open mingle for characters who would come hang out in Lupin per Dazai's radio show, especially those suffering from corruption
Warnings: cw: yall tell me if you do anything that needs warned for
Per Dazai's radio show, Bar Lupin is open as a safe haven for those who are worried about losing control due to the spreading corruption. Employees were promised extra pay for their work during this trying time, so the bar is operating as normal! Of course, as Dazai said, there are no free drinks -- it is a bar, after all, not a charity! -- but there's some good company and the relative safety of knowing that for those with powers that they fear losing control of, Dazai's ability can stop them in their tracks.
Probably!
There's enough space for quite a few people to sit comfortably -- there are tables, a private room, and seats at the bar. Still, it's not that big, so expect to be sat with another Chosen should the seats start filling up. The menu consists of your normal bar fare and plenty of drinks, but the staff (and Dazai himself) will discourage any damage done to the bar itself. If you're going to be violent to each other, that's fine (though certain members of the staff might step in) -- just don't break the bar! There are some board games and decks of cards, as well as a beat-up old stereo that some might recognize as the same kind of tech as the tablets. An early 2000s MP3 player seems to be plugged into it at the moment, playing an assortment of classical music. If anyone chooses to mess with the music, they'll find a mix of J-Pop, electronic, and some non-Japanese music in addition to the classical playlist it's programmed with. The intent is for a cool, somewhat relaxing atmosphere, but considering the people involved, that may not last too long...
[This is a mingle for the duration of the event! Surely gathering all the people suffering from corruption in one place won't cause any problems. This is of course not at all mandatory -- while Dazai recommended people come to Lupin if they fear they might lose control, no one is going to collect them and bring them here. Damaging each other should any of the more aggressive characters decide to fight is perfectly fine, but should it look like damage to the bar will be done, staff will step in to either break up the fight, or force them outside into the cold.

'Sex on the beach' though, Scott can nearly imagine Kotone laughing and winking as she gave that drink to Yosuke while proudly proclaiming its name to him. Some residual jealousy, bits that flare up from the corruption grasp him just momentarily, but Scott manages to push it down. It's fine.
The anger doesn't fully hit this time.]
Cocktails always have some fucking weird name, huh? It's like you can't even tell what it's going to taste like until you try it.
no subject
[but he shrugs.]
But it's taking a little bit of the edge off, so I can't really complain.

Scott can feel himself slowly slumping over his crossed arms, energy rapidly depleting despite his concern for Yosuke popping back up. Hopefully he doesn't mind him just... being like this as they talk.]
So... you actually feel more energized drinking that? I tried drinking stuff earlier, but still felt like crap afterward. Never felt like this before.
no subject
Not really energized, but it's distracting me or something. I dunno, I don't drink alcohol too much.
[hopefully not because you're way underage, sir.]

[The largest sigh against his arms. Muffled, but still audible because gotta make sure that your angst is heard by others. This really is a crappy feeling though. Sure, he had bouts in high school where it felt like he was pissed at the world and everything, but all that feels minor compared to now.
Another big sigh.]
I have more friends than ever and a girlfriend. It's like I should be happy, but I'm... not. It's stupid, isn't it?
no subject
[a beat.]
Not really. Sometimes you just feel down no matter what, and that's cool. At least you can admit you're feeling like crap.
no subject
I know I'm draining Kotone being like this. Is it really okay if we start becoming a burden to others? I hate knowing that I'm hard to be around.
no subject
Well... it's easier said than done, but if the people we care about really care about us, they'll stick with us through anything. I know Kotone-san isn't the kind of person to just ditch someone when they're going through stuff. Especially because of this damn place.
no subject
Yu's kind of the same way, Scott thinks. He'll never forget the teen busying himself with work when the teen's that sitting just right next to him died.]
It's just that... Kotone's already handling so much on her own. I just wanted to be stronger and better for her. [...] Don't you feel that way for Yu?
no subject
I-I mean--
[how does he respond to this!!!]
Yeah... a little... but I've gotten in trouble for hiding stuff from him a couple times since I've been here. So I'm trying not to do that anymore.
no subject
What, he wants his friends to be happy!!
His words are familiar, however, at least Kotone got upset with him when he tried to hide away earlier this month.]
Hope you get on his case if he tries to hide stuff from you.
no subject
he grins.]
Of course. I give him so much shit if he keeps stuff from me. It's only fair, after all.
