Who: Scott Summers and anyone stopping by
Where: Scott's new home
What: Irresponsible teenager from 1980s America wants to throw a party like he sees in the movies. Also something something surviving the maze and dealing with the locals being cold suddenly. Also, it's Scott's and Jinx's birthday! Sort of. They're combining it.
Warnings: Underage drinking, teenage stupidity probably, will update as things continue!


[Maybe you saw Scott's post earlier about hosting a party, or just come across his house, the door's open and everything! Scott probably won't mind if it's someone he dislikes, but he'll just have to suck it up anyway! It's probably good there's not a lot of furniture in the house yet, leaving the space more open for people to mingle and play games. If it gets too crowded, well, there's always the front yard and a couple of rooms to hide yourself in.

Of course, it isn't a party without:

Food: Scott's only scourged up snacks on his end, along with a couple of pizza boxes and sandwiches, so potluck style, bring something that will amaze the other guests or make use of the bathrooms in the house looking at you Mitama.

Drinks: Along with some water and juice, it wouldn't be a party without alcohol. There's a keg of beer that he somehow acquired that people can pour into their cup. Sadly, he doesn't really have any other alcoholic drinks unless someone else decides to bring some!

Games: Any stereotypical game you can think of will probably be played, from Truth or Dare, to Seven Minutes in Heaven, Never Have I Ever, Would you Rather, Spin the Bottle, and etc. There's also a table where people can set up a game of beer pong at.]

[Yu has never been to an American house party, but what he expects is basically akin to a bunch of groups like his friends…so he's prepared for chaos. At least— he thinks he's prepared for chaos. It's entirely possible that he's not prepared enough. We'll burn that bridge when we come to it, right? Anyway, he's here, wearing a casual dark button-down and jeans.]

i. the food

[He heads for the food table first, unwrapping a box he's brought with him. Kotone may have the baking covered, but cooking food for other people is something of a hobby, for him, and he's honestly glad to put that skill to good use.

So he pulls out a couple of trays: potato croquettes, karaage, and grilled rice balls. Sorry, Scott. No sushi.]

ii. the party

[Yu spends much of the party socializing, and trying out the food, but he can also be convinced to dance or play party games (see the comments!). As the party gets crowded, occasionally you might find yourself bumped into, at which point he gives an apologetic smile.]

Hey, sorry about that. You alright?

iii. outside

[Outside the house, he's brought a pack of sparklers and a book of matches. Care to join him?

Or maybe you're more interested in how he's fishing in a pocket for a cat treat to give to one of the stray cats by the street…he looks a bit like he does this often.]

( jinx will simply sit here and not drink. wait, hold on. is she saying she never gotten a tattoo before? then... what's with all the clouds on her arm and one half of her body about then? )

[Kotone takes a sip from her drink, because those are the rules. Hopefully she doesn't have to drink for every date...]

[With honest curiosity! Just go ask someone, it's not that hard.]

I dunno, busy.

( she grumbles this more while attempting to look unfazed. )

— When you're out doin' missions and keeping losers in line every day and murdering a few empty heads, it's hard to make room for a romantic night on the town.

[Kotone hums a little sympathetically, but she doesn't really get it. First of all, maybe she should have a bigger reaction to "murdering a few empty heads," but as far as she knows, Jinx isn't killing people here and having Dazai around has kind of numbed that initial reaction. Second of all, Kotone was also extremely busy back home, but she always made time to hang out with her friends! That's most of why she was so busy and slept in class more often than not!]

Are you doing all that here?

( a mischievous smirk curls at the end of her lips at the question. jinx almost took a sip of her drink out of sheer habit, but quickly reminds herself that she isn't meant to unless there's a statement being said of whether or not she did that thing. )

Wouldn't you like to know?

( of course she does, hence the question. but the teen isn't going to give up any information about what she does in her spare time here. that's something only between her and her dear old dad need to worry about. )

[Yes?? She would?? Kotone just kind of frowns a little, less in genuine worry and more in mild concern. Well, sounds like she won't really have time for dates if she's still doing that kind of thing-! Actually, hang on, hadn't Usagi said something about how Jinx was committing crimes...

Mentally, Kotone moves Jinx from the "maybe ask her on a friendly date for fun" category to the "crazy, kind of difficult," category. Still not a deal-breaker, but definitely way lower on the priority list.]

Well, I guess you have to stay busy somehow...

Yep! Believe me, you'd hate me if I get really bored.

( so anyhow, she is going to turn the conversation around her. )

What about you, Sunshine? You go on a lotta dates?

[Usagi had stayed holding her non-alcoholic drink when Yu mentioned a tattoo but took a sip when Jinx mentioned dates... god, she hoped she didn't need to down the glass considering the amount of dates she and Mamoru had been on... Eh, just the one should be fine, Jinx had made it plural.

She hummed softly.]

But you're so cute. [She said honestly.]

C'mon, Tails. You don't gotta butter me up about that. I know I'm not that much of a looker.

( while she takes fancy on her lower half of her body, it's everything else jinx believes that isn't too great. she isn't sure about the girls, but boys typically want a girl with an hour glass figure with big wham-boos taped to their chests. )

I don't know what "butter you up" means, but you ARE pretty! You're hair is really soft and silky, not to mention it's an amazing shade of blue, you have beautiful clear skin, amazingly intense eyes, a gorgeous smile, and that's like, just your head!

( it takes jinx a moment or two to just register all these compliments. the hair, okay, she might have expected that but the skin, the eyes, the smile, her whole head?? this has to be the most wildest flattery she has ever came across. and there is a slight bit of redness forming across her cheeks and nose as the other girl rambles on. )

[Usagi hummed and tapped her lips in thought.]

Neeeever have I eeeever... hmmm... Uh, well, never have I ever gotten good grades. [She blushed, scratching her cheek.]

[ Well, when she puts it like that, then Mitama has little choice but to take a sip of her drink! She used to be little miss honor student, after all. She lets out a small chuckle, but it's not mean-spirited in any way ─ it's been a long time since she's truly concerned herself with performance at school. ]

Aww, I could help you study some time if you'd like! Ah, but with no school here, there isn't much point to it, is there?

You're always so sweet, Mitama! Thank you, though, like you said, no point with no school. My best friend Ami-chan would try and help me study to keep up. She was a super genius and I still did only just passing.

But I did study hard enough to get into my high school of choice! So, there's that, I guess.

[ Mitama nods along, her smile not disappearing even as the mention of high school does bring back some painful memories for her. That's not relevant right now anyway. ]

At least we don't have to worry about exams here.

I usually slept through class, but I studied a lot at night to make up for it.

Considering some of the teachers at Gekkoukan when we visited, I can't really blame you.

My senpai always made sure we studied a lot. She even made us take a whole week of summer classes to make sure we didn't fall behind!
