[After the events of the maze, Astralin found it a bit difficult to relax. Everything was a bit too overwhelming, and even though he's recovered since then, he's been a bit restless. Unfortunately, there didn't seem to be any sort of hot springs or spa opened in Aldrip, and he wasn't about to visit the neighboring villages and towns to try and relax. So, as one does, he took it upon himself to use the remaining land that he had now to incorporate a hot springs on his land.

It's busy on the farm again with construction, and despite the citizens of Aldrip being much more... Wary of the chosen, he still managed to find a few of them that would still work with him on the construction. So, you'll find Astralin hovering over the construction with his arms crossed. His focus on some of the construction workers as they begin working on the hot spring. Ready to open it to the public once it was constructed.]

[After the construction, you'll find Astralin still outside. He isn't relaxing, but instead, honing his magical abilities. The maze has left a scar on him that certainly left him traumatized, and he feels like he needs to practice more to ensure he can keep the people he calls friends here, safe. It's the least that he can do for them, but even then, it seems like his powers didn't have any affect on the illusions when he did try and attack them.

He tries not to let that bother him though, and he focuses on summoning his icicles from thin air. Those icicles being hauled forward and toward their intended targets that he had set up. The whole farm filled with lingering frost that may or may not shift into Aldrip while he practices.]

[Ah, he knows that voice. His eyes turn toward Vi with a half smirk. A soft chuckle escaping from him as he motions Vi a bit closer so that she could look down at the construction site.]

Well... I figured you may be a bit busy with your, ah... Guests... Arriving in Expiation. I did not want to bother you if you were having trouble.

[SUCH A DAD.]

Besides, I want you to enjoy the hot spring once it is opened.

[she shrugs.]

I mean, it's either I jump into some work or I beat up something or someone at this rate.

[she stretches her arms out and then shakes them a bit.]

I'll enjoy it when it's done. What d'you need me to do first?

[Oh man, she really does want to work it seems. He figured that they'd chat a bit before she just goes in and does her thing, but he's always appreciated that about her. That she's willing to help him without a second though.]

Honestly? I will need those larger rocks moved to the main area to give the hot spring a nice aesthetic. If you could do that for me, I would greatly appreciate it.

[and she starts this task with not much issue, though she does look back at him for a moment after she moves a few of the rocks.]

What gave you the idea to do something like this, anyway?

[Yeah, he isn't surprised that she's already working and she doesn't struggle to really move those rocks. They aren't particularly small, but again, not surprised that she can move them so easily and quickly.

He's following her back and forth, with each one, making their conversation a bit easier.]

... Well. While I detest the idea of you having to go through the maze, I thought it would have been nice to have something like this to destress after such a bad event. I had the fee and the funds for the construction and materials, so I figured... Why not?

I will have to clean it every day, and provide amenities, but I do not mind. Quite frankly, I have nothing better to do, it seems.

[she doesn't think too long or too hard about the maze, because then she'll just go apeshit again. that's not really a good look when she's dragging around heavy rocks.]

I mean... I work with that asshole Dazai, but I can come by and help clean sometimes too. It'd be better than you doing it every day.

[finding little ways to keep herself busy was what she was aiming for.]

[His experience in the maze was quite mild compared to everyone else's he surmises, but none the less, it was stressful for him. So, hells. He should enjoy the hot springs once it's finished, and he's definitely pushing Vi into it when it's done.]

If you do not mind. I do not want to put anyone out of their way to help me, but if you are willing, then I do not mind at all.

[Honestly, he's grateful, and he gets to spend time with Vi.]

[she won't mind getting pushed into it at all. maybe that's why she's so stubborn about helping him, even.

even if she does roll her eyes in the most dramatic way at him.]

[she grins, though.]

I'll make sure to drag you down with me.

Everyone that I met here has been far too kind to me. I do feel a bit bad I cannot offer you anything good in return, but a good meal, and a first try of the hot spring.

[He chuckles first, and then can't help but laugh a bit. Honestly, he like. Wouldn't mind being dragged in. His body seriously hurts after the maze.]

[her body and soul hurts after the maze... so she's really looking forward to it.]

Tallness doesn't have to do with anything. I've beaten up guys your size before... it's just a matter of strategy.

[even though all of Vi's strategy is "punch first try not to get killed" but he doesn't have to know that.]

Then come, and have dinner with us sometime. There is plenty of food to go around.

[Us. Him, Kotone, and Ken. And whoever he decides to invite. In truth, he enjoyed the company, and it made him keep his mind off of the fact that he's been here for way too long.]

Yes, that is true. Although I have my magic to protect me from nefarious intentions, I suppose I truly would not mind being thrown into the hot spring. I know myself far too well, and know that I would not go in and would be much too occupied making sure that everyone else is content and happy.

Free food? How could I even turn that down?

[he had her at "dinner", honestly.]
