It isn't much, but as she holds it out, the chocobo's attention is immediately drawn to that and away from what Marianne is doing. Once it's attention is diverted, Caitlyn grabs the vines and begins to wrap the splint as snuggly as she could, while also making sure it wasn't too tight.
Satisfied, she scoots back, watching the chocobo check out the splint curiosity. It started to peck at it, but one stroke of the head, and it's attention was back on pets and no longer on the splint.]
