It honestly feels a little overdue to get all of the Persona-users together in one place, but in fairness to them, there's been a lot going on! With Ken's arrival, though, it feels more important than ever to get everyone together -- if something happens again and they need to fight together as a team, it'll be good to have moments like this.

Hopefully.

Also, like, it's a chance to just relax and have fun with the others. Kotone's close friends with all of them, so it only seems natural to invite them to what's essentially a sleepover. There's nail polish, drinks, snacks, games -- it's not a party, but just a chill hangout session to her. An opportunity to sleep out under the stars with her friends while still being close enough to a house that they don't have to worry about monsters outside.

Everyone please be on your best behavior?

[For his part, Shinji has reached the last of the chickens - the famous Scramble herself - and looks back to see what Akechi's problem is now while Scramble receives her customary extra-long chicken hold first thing in the morning. So, chicken in his arms, he gives Akechi such a look... wow... he's almost impressed.]

You didn't scoop fast enough.

[But he'll show mercy and come to the rescue, sticking his hand in the bag of feed to grab a handful and crouch down, so the chickens - well, most of them, at least one or two are still going to be after Akechi's Whole Bag - can crowd around and peck at the handful he scatters on the ground. Shinji's no farming expert, but he's learned by now that animals are going to stick their face into any available food no matter what.

He puts Scramble down, too, and unfortunately she trots after Akechi to peck at his pant leg. More food? Hello??]

[Please save him Shinji-senpai! In his panic Akechi just raises his arms, trying to keep them out of the birds' reach. They're so small and fragile, yet very determined about getting the food from him. Akechi is legit afraid of moving in case one he accidentally hurts one of them. But hey, at least he doesn't cover when one of them flaps her wings at her.]

They are faster than I expected. [He admits, feeling his ears turn pink from the embarrassement. Thanks for the rescue, tho. When most of chickens have finally left him alone he scoops some grains from the bag and begins to scatter them on the ground. He does, take notice of Scramble at his feet and takes a hesitating step back.]

Is this one yours?

[What a brazen accusation, is the chicken bold enough to bother people his chicken, wow--]

I guess, as much as any of them could be. [A beat. He makes another one of those blink and you'll miss it snort-laugh sounds and adds,] I'm her favorite.

[So technically they should say Shinji is Scramble's and not the other way around, perhaps. That might be more accurate. She's definitely the most assertive of this chicken gang, continuing to hover around Akechi's feet and stare up at him with her little chicken eyes, demanding...

Until Shinji takes pity on him and whistles to her, which steals her attention away from menacing any legs. Now, Akechi, be free--]

Hm. [He hums and looks as the chicken turns around and trots towards her master. Or whatever Shinji is to her. He keeps scooping the grains to the metallic feeder, trying to mindful of the amount -- he doesn't want to overfeed the poor birds.

Once he's done with that he also puts his hand inside of the bag, picks up fistful of the food, crouches down and.. clicks his tongue a little, offering his hand towards the majestic Scramble. He's not sure what would be the right way to call for it but he's about to test the loyalty of this bird!]

[Scramble has fled to the spoiling embrace of Shinji in the meantime, while Akechi minds the other birds. Which is just pecking at his pant leg until he drops into a crouch to scoop her up and scatter the rest of the feed in his hand to the other hens.

Both Shinji and Scramble look at Akechi like they're not sure what he's doing for a good solid second, when he tries to get her attention back. The chicken cranes her head towards the food... then settles back into the crook of Shinji's elbow, fluffing herself up imperiously. Shinji rolls his eyes.]

Who's got the energy to be this dramatic in the morning...

[He straightens up and just plain crosses the few feet to where Akechi is, nudging Scramble as he gets there.]

Eat, it'll make him feel better.

[Sorry, Akechi... but at least now Scramble cranes over to peck at the food in his palm. Semi-victory.]

[Getting rejected by a chicken... So harsh, rip Akechi.

He's really trying not to let the disappointment to show as he feeds Scramble, keeping his perfect poker face. It's ok, his ego has suffered worse.]

Quite a pompous chicken-- hey!! [A shriek escapes from him as another chicken suddenly noticed that Scramble is getting fed the seconds, giving His elbow a peck.


Okay that's enough. He scatters the seeds around and hands the bag along with the scoop back to Shinji.]

Now what?
