It honestly feels a little overdue to get all of the Persona-users together in one place, but in fairness to them, there's been a lot going on! With Ken's arrival, though, it feels more important than ever to get everyone together -- if something happens again and they need to fight together as a team, it'll be good to have moments like this.

Also, like, it's a chance to just relax and have fun with the others. Kotone's close friends with all of them, so it only seems natural to invite them to what's essentially a sleepover. There's nail polish, drinks, snacks, games -- it's not a party, but just a chill hangout session to her. An opportunity to sleep out under the stars with her friends while still being close enough to a house that they don't have to worry about monsters outside.

[She giggles lightly and bonks her head against his before retreating. She has a bowl of cookie dough chilling in the fridge to fetch, so she sets up a station close to him to start rolling it out in preparation for the cookie cutter.]

I finally get to try your famous curry, huh?

[Standing upright again (but not straight-- his posture is too awful for that), he grins down at the two pots on the range.] I dunno that I'd call mine famous-- it's a slight adaptation of Sojiro's. You like spicy?

Depends, is it tasty-spicy or like, Megido-spicy?

[She leans past him and sticks a hand between his belt and the stove to turn the oven on to the proper temperature, don't mind her and the complete lack of personal space in front of a hot appliance. Humming a little, she resumes rolling out her cookie dough.]

I'll try it either way!

[Kotone you've sucked his dick he doesn't mind your lack of concept of personal space with him.]

[He picks up one of those little shallow tasting cups and scoops a bit of the spicier curry sauce into it, blowing on it to cool it a little and passing it to her.] Not quite Megido, but it's also not just a hot sauce? Try it, lemme know.

[Listen, it's because of that she doesn't have personal space around him anymore. Not that her bubble is overly large to begin with, but you know. Anyway she's busy rolling out cookie dough and doesn't want to move her hands again, so she just leans closer to take a sip from the little cup without taking it from his hand.

She makes a little noise as her cheeks redden and her eyes water, because aah!! Spicy!! and she coughs a little. It's a good flavor! But she can't express that because her throat is on fire.]

[And he just tips the cup into her mouth, looking back to his curry until she splutters, and he recoils.]

Oh. Uh-- [He sets the cup down, overturns his ladle and sets it against the cup, and moves to get her a glass of water in nearly all one fluid motion.] Megido, then?

[She does drop the rolling pin to grab the glass in both hands with a quiet, appreciative noise of relief as she takes a gulp. Phew!]

Tasty! [she manages finally, lips bright red from the spice itself as she licks them and takes another sip of water.] Flavor's good! Megido for sure, but not Megidola.

[He grins brightly, shoulders raising in a brief shrug.] Give it a couple days, it's best when it sits.

[He ladles a bit more of the sauce into the cup and tries it himself, licking his lips like a cat.] Ooh, nice bite. Needs..., hm. [He sets the cup and the ladle back down, wandering to a collection of things strewn about the counter. He claims an apple and a cheese grater, coming back over to methodically grate about half of it into the pot.]

Apple?

[It's a curious comment as she finishes the glass of water and goes back to her rolling pin. It only needs a little bit more to get flattened out to how she wants, then it's on to cookie cutters.]

Oh, can you grate some extra? I can use it for cupcakes, maybe, since I don't think Aragaki-senpai is gonna want to use the oven.

Helps mellow the bite from the coffee, and might soften the heat a little.

[He grins, moving to grab a small plate and grate up the rest of the apple. He tosses the core, smacks the remaining goo into his pot of curry, and goes to rinse it.] Apple on cupcakes? Save me one.

Apple in cupcakes. Or I guess they're more like muffins? I used to make banana ones in Cooking Club, but there are more apples here.

[It's nice, getting to bake alongside somebody. They're making two totally different things, but the companionship is nice. She tosses him a smile over her shoulder for a moment before starting to use cookie cutters on the dough, gently setting the cookies on a sheet.]

I'm glad you came, Akira. I hope at least a few people have fun.

[He glances sidelong at her, watching the cookie cutting process and lapsing into companionable silence as he looks between her and his curry, which is mostly done outside of poking and prodding the two pots.] Mm? Oh, of course. I'm having a great time-- I really like cooking for people, though.

Have you cooked together with Aragaki-senpai yet?

[Asked casually. This is a normal question to ask, and there's no ulterior motive behind it at all.]

He taught me how to bake a cake for Goro's birthday? Does that count.

[He is none the wiser.]

Oh. Good!

[That's a relief, in a weird way. She'd have liked to help, too, but it's better that Shinji did it. Not to mention if Akira has a connection to Shinji, then maybe... it'll be okay. He'll have somebody to talk to, if he ever wants to.]

He likes to cook for other people too, but don't tell him I told you. [She presses a finger to her lips in the universal sign for shhh, it's a secret! even though it's literally obvious to anyone who spent even a few minutes around a kitchen.]

[He tilts his head, grins, and nods, lifting two lids and covering his pots of curry to let them simmer. Turning the burners down to low, he stretches his arms over his head until his spine cracks twice.] Oof.

Yeah? He definitely seemed to know his way around one.

Mmhm. You should cook together again.

[Or, in other words- protag him. Don't let him be alone. She can't do it, but maybe Akira can.

Speaking of not being alone, when it seems like he doesn't need his hands anymore, she beckons him over and puts a cut-out sugar cookie in them.]

Put these on the tray for me after I cut them? A couple centimeters apart.

[He looks her over, processing the suggestion and nodding.] Yeah? I think I'd like that. [Challenge Accepted.]

[He blinks at the cookie, immediately bringing a second hand to cup under the first as if handling something immensely delicate and important.] Oh. Okay. Uh, greased, or paper? I don't think they have silpat.

Paper. Easier to clean!

[She's not nearly as flexible as Sumi, but she's busy using her hands, so she points with her foot at a drawer on the other side of the kitchen to indicate where he can find the parchment paper.]
