Who: Saito, Vi
Where: Woods near Aldrip
What: "Random encounter (...) vi was seeking him out because she wanted to beat the shit out of someone (as she does)", as per Vi-mun's words.
Warnings: Probable violence?! And hunting, so there is mention of wildlife harm.
[Even before his death a few weeks prior, Saito could only satiate his hunger for pleasure with taking the lives of stray pets so many times before even the locals began to suspect something was up with him and started giving him odd looks, despite his status as Chosen. They're treated as heroes or celebrities, supported and accepted by all; but from his recent experience, he's starting to think the joke he made when he first met Mizuki — about this world being some kind of simulated dream, might not be actually too far from the truth.
Because a dead Chosen doesn't stay dead, neither do they return to their own world. They just mysteriously wake up from a long nap. He had the displeasure of experiencing it first-hand.
But brushing his growing suspicion of the locals for feigning ignorance when he inquires about the matter for now, he leaves the inn for what feels the first time in weeks. Aside from the episodic lightheadedness and intense moodiness, his body feels healthy. He can still shoot a gun and use a knife with relative ease. It should be enough to do some light hunting in the woods surrounding Aldrip; the sole activity that currently allows him to get some rush of satisfaction while staying under the radar. The excuse that he does it for money has worked so far, and the locals are always more than pleased with how it helps keep the town safe.
It's under that pretense that dozens of gunshots resound throughout the area, corpses of wild animals felled along the path. Among of which includes those of harmless and amiable nature, but also dangerous and territorial beasts alike. All shot to death.
Wildlife as those are — not his favorite type of prey, all it fills his system with is adrenaline from the act of hunting itself. Something clearly is missing... and he's so engrossed in that thought that he doesn't notice he's not the only human in the picturesque greenery now marred by the indiscriminate killing spree.]

busts in here finally
it's for this reason that she's stomping around. she'd inquired about Saito to a few of the locals, and it didn't didn't take her too long to notice that the gunfire she was hearing might be because of him.
she grits her teeth and starts to track him, fueled by her frustration not only with the things going on here, but with the idea that Saito just keeps popping up around Mizuki. there were too many nice people here to use just anyone as a punching bag, so... y'know.
he leaves quite an obvious trail too, with the dead animals in his wake. when she catches up with him, she grits her teeth and glowers at him.]
Do you get off of killing and tormenting people for fun or something?
[here we go...]
/crashes back in here late!!
Hers is a face he doesn't recall seeing before. But it's likely she one-sidedly knows him somehow, judging by how she reaches the correct assumption by connecting dots... that are simply not there. These were animals, not people. So, how?]
That's a bold accusation to make when we don't even know each other.
[He can only think of one possibility.]
no subject
Kinda going by those guys behind you. Also, I know enough about you to think you're kind of a pain in the ass.
no subject
Ah. So you're the one who adopted Mewzuki?
[So Mizuki found a new, replacement family so soon? It's funny how desperate for affection she is.]
no subject
she frowns.]
Mizuki? Sure, we're friends. Got a problem with that?
[she can make it his problem!!]
no subject
Not at all! It's a relief to see Mewzuki found such a caring owner.
[He wouldn't be able to sound more insincere, even if he tried.]
You, on the other hand, obviously got a problem or two with things that don't concern you.
[It's her problem, not his!?!]
no subject
[Vi steps forward, fists clenching as she envisions herself punching Saito in the face.]
If you'd stop picking on my friend, then we wouldn't have a fucking problem. You could be as shitty as you want. But since you have... I'm gonna have to make you stop.
[and then she lunges towards him, fist raised as if try to punch him in the face.]
no subject
At least this woman doesn't have Mizuki's super strength; best case scenario, he would end up with a very painful, dislocated jaw. Still, the punch doesn't help appease his already sour mood. The impact sends him reeling a step or two backwards, as he reflexively brings up his free hand to touch the punched spot.
The other tightens around the Evolver's grip. An airy, curt snort escapes him.]
Ahh, I see how it is now. Your plan is to punch me to death, similar to what your precious, defenseless friend did? She was the one who came up with the idea, wasn't she?
no subject
probably for worse.
but she still stalks forward, bracing to punch him again.]
She doesn't know I'm here. I just really wanted to kick your ass.
[Deep Thoughts with Vi.]
