She flies over and lands on its head, almost like she's trying to stop and claw him away, but her talons aren't able to penetrate its tougher surface and a mournful noise leaves her. She can't protect the boy!! She can't... she's failing again, but she doesn't stop with her attacks, still trying to peck at the creature even as it nears the trembling boy and--
