[Phoenix herself becomes more enraged when none of her attacks have any sort of effect on the new creature. Why is it resisting her!! How dare it. After another ineffectual attack, she takes the time to flap in front of Scott as she screeches both at the monster and Altius, like she's trying to protect her host. He's in pain and confused and it's affecting her, the bird spreading her wings and shrieking again. If no one else will protect her host, she will!!
